This is one of the rare instances where I think the English version of a vocaloid song is as good as the original Japanese version

What a great cover! This is such a good English cover of this song, probably the best one I've heard that's currently out. This is extremely underrated!

Woah, first time seeing an English cover of this song. The cover's pretty good by the way. Solaria's voice sounds kinda weird when pronouncing the repeated "Why?" parts in the song though.
This is my fav song from Powapowa P. I am kinda sad this song isn't as popular as Girl A or Q, since it's a really really really relatable and catchy ass song. The cover's cool though. Keep up the good work! Thanks.

Thank you very much. In the original that part is "なんで", which is three syllables: "na n de". It becomes "why" when translated, but "why" is only one syllable in English. Maybe having her sing "oh but why" would be better? I think maybe I tried that and still it sounded weird. Are there any other places in the song that sound weird or that could be better?
I remember being a little frustrated with many parts of this cover, like I couldn't really do it justice. SynthV AI always sound a little weird singing fast-paced songs like this one, even after all the tuning I do to make it tolerable. Not to mention how difficult it is to make lyrics that keep the original meaning and sound good when sung! In the end a decision needs to be made, and it's not always the best one.
Either way, thanks for the comment - are there any other songs you would like to see covered?

Your welcome! I am always interested in seeing songs interpreted in other languages, since the direct translated lyrics from the original language doesn't always go through. I like to see how creative someone gets when attempting to write the lyrics as close as they can get to the original version.
Hm, to answer your queries, I think its better if you do what you've suggested, the "oh but why" to replace "why", but then that will probably get to 4 syllables... If you use, "tell me why"..., I think this phrase also has a similar problem to the previous one lol. I don't think I have any excellent suggestions to try and fix the "why" part in the song. Other than use, "tell why", but that sounds awkward lol.
As for if there are any parts in the song that sounds weird or could be better, I think when Solaria pronounces words that have an 'e' syllable in it, the 'e' sounds kind of muted most of the time. But, it is still understandable if you're not looking at the lyrics. Although, I can overlook that, as the vocaloid software isn't perfect, and these flaws sometimes add charm to the song. That's just how I think though.
Still, you did pretty great tuning here! So, don't worry, I'm sure you'll get better if you keep at it. I know tuning isn't easy work, as I'm also interested in the vocaloid software, but I myself lack knowledge in music theory and don't have access to vocaloid tools to try and practice. Also, I am studying so, yeah I really don't have time to dedicate on doing what I love lol. Just prioritising my responsibilities first.
As if there are any songs that I would like to see covered..., hm, maybe the other Powapowa P songs, like the Chiyoko one? (the title is long, but I think you know the one) I am also curious to see how Solaria handles rock and fast songs, since her voice is kinda strong? Or maybe its more vibrant like Meiko's?
Vocaloid does have a lot of songs to cover, so I don't think you'll be out of ideas of what to try out lol. There's also Azari's, "Who?", that songs pretty cool.
Personally, I think its best for you to cover songs on what you want first and foremost. Since, you're the one who's tuning it. Still, I get it. I'm just giving my thoughts since you've asked. Have fun tuning and composing! I wish you well. 🍀 🍀 🍀

Well you're in the right place, I always try to get the meaning as close as possible (unless it's a parody)!
Perhaps "o-oh why" could work, meaning she sings "oh" in two syllables? I'll write it down and if I redo this I'll see if that sounds better.
My goal is usually to make her pronunciation as good as I can. Sometimes I have little choice if everything I try fails, then I usually change the lyrics. It's always a balancing act.
Thank you! Fingers crossed I get better at it, time is always the issue. Mostly I aim for good enough, otherwise I'll never finish it.
Chiyoko? Likely "3年C組14番窪園チヨコの入閣"? I'll add it to my backlog :)
I see there are some English covers of "Who?".
If you want to see Solaria do rock (ish) you can see my old cover of Maretu - Umitagari (it's just called Umitagari feat. Solaria on my channel)
Obviously I won't tune songs I hate, but I like a lot of stuff so suggestions are helpful too!
Thanks for the feedback, it really helps!
