A week or so ago I finally hit a hundred million views on my channel and honestly didn’t notice until my mother told me (very supportive parents). It’s so crazy to think how big that number is because I’ve never experienced a hundred million of anything! In celebration of this milestone, I thought I’d finally do a proper and full version of Tell Your World for you guys. It still gives me chills watching the Google Chrome CM it was made for because it’s so genuine. Vocaloid is connecting the world and inspiring fans without boundaries. And connecting me to you guys!
I’m just so grateful for all the dedication and support I’ve been shown over the past few years and hope that I can continue to surpass expectations far into the future. In high school, I’d written down that I wanted to become an “impossible person” when I grew up. I think I’m on my way!

Awe that means a lot, I'm a foreign person and my mom tells me my Japanese music is freakish or strange, I also always got teased getting called "Weebu" which isn't really an insult. I think it's weird how half the world knows English and it's taught in schools when we don't value other cultures, besides Japanese, Spanish and Korean and many other languages are so easy! :)

Clayton Jr Solomon like the girl who is singing? Her name is Juby
There a lot of "puritan fans" out there that think that you have to do a 1-1 translation or it's ruining the song. I disagree because you have to change some of the words to adjust for cultural context. I think Juby does this very well as she preserves the meaning of the song while smoothing out the otherwise sometimes jarring literal translation. For those asking why so many dislikes, that would account for some of them and then you have the people that randomly had the video suggested to them and don't like the music style. But a 10:1 ratio tells the story that most of us love this song this way (and more than likely in it's native Japanese). Like I said before, the meaning and feel is preserved and presented in a smooth and beautiful way that flows well in the new language and culture it's being presented in.
Some of us weebs don't seem to understand Japanese langauge & rhythm. Long as it matches what it sung in the original & it has rhythm, it should be good, no matter the choice of words.
@@tristanbackup2536 To a degree yes. The issue that sometimes pops up is the changing of the meaning of what's being said. This didn't happen here since the lingual changes only adjusted for english meaning to match the original without making it clunky.
Japanese tends to have strong cadence where english tends to be more lax. That's why some direct translation sounds off when just spoken (let alone when sung) even when ignoring euphemism and term disparity. I love how she managed to avoid all of those pit-falls while preserving the cadence and flow.
It’s not so much a cultural thing but just the fact that the literal translation just won’t make sense or that the actual translation won’t flow properly. Sometimes Japanese syllables will be longer or shorter than their English counterpart and then won’t fit the melody. But yeah people who don’t understand that can stay mad. Even looking at the translated lyrics will sometimes makes me tilt my head and be like that doesn’t really make sense.

And the not making sense can sometimes (not all but most due to dual or alternate meanings or concepts) call for changing of words to make sense linguistically and to preserve the cadence and sometimes even the very sound of the song . Whatever the reason I think most can appreciate the result of the love an effort that has to go into bringing the music into another language.

No, it's just RUclips being stupid. Everyone who clicks the video counts as a view, until you reach 300 (301) views. Then RUclips only counts it if you watch so much of the video

This song right here is a song I always come back. No matter what version of Tell Your World I listen to, I always come right back to it. This song will always have a special place in my heart. To me, this song is saying that the world in connected through music, thanks to the internet. It shows that the world maybe big, but it's gotten smaller. Not only that, but it can show how many people like the same kind of music as other people do.
It's funny. I don't listen to Juby that much as I did last year, but I recently listened to her Kaguru Project covers, and, after listening to this song, I've realized that listening to Juby brings back so many memories and the nostalgia is killing me, and I'm super happy that Juby is still making these wonderful covers and making people happy.
