This is s true first pass. Dani could do this for years to come as she changes her threshold for clutter
Dani's clutter is so typical of most of us. She's not a hoarder, but she's just collected too much over time. This has been a gentle process with amazing results that seems to be simplifying her daily life. Very well done!

I can say, I enjoy you guys talk a lot. Especially since it's on the spot talking. There is so many narrated/quieter videos, this is a nice change. Also the fact it isn't too fast paced is great. Videos nowadays tend to have harsh sounds and movements and it keeps throwing me off and it's kinda stressful.

A suggestion about daily medication/supplements is to use a 7-day pill organizer. That way, the bottles can stay in the cupboard and only the organizer stays out.
And it helps me when I’m on autopilot to know for certain if the medication is taken
@Jen39x yes! When I was taking antibiotics, I put the day's allotment in a little dish on the counter because I kept forgetting if I had taken one and I had to keep counting what was left in the bottle.

I look forward to this series every sunday morning!! I would love it if Dani was a permanent fixture on your channel and i think everyone else would too!! Maybe you could follow up with her every few months to see how things are working out and do second passes on the rooms and more organization. Of course only if Dani is open to that :)
An unsolicited suggestion: If she only uses certain baking/cooking supplies for Christmas, Dani might want to store them with the Christmas stuff instead of having them in her kitchen all year round.
All the de-cluttering is paying off. You can see the good things happening for Dani, i'm sure she's going to get that job. She looks lighter, happier, more calm since episode one. Could it be the weight has been lifted? So happy for her.

Great progress. Dani's clearly a visual organiser, as forgetting her meds highlights. It's great that she can see everything far easier in her cupboards now on opening them. With regards to her many napkins and party cutlery duplicates, one thing I found that helps me is to create a DO NOT BUY list in my phone, that way, when I am out, I can do a quick check if I feel I need something but am not sure about. I do this at Christmas - I do NOT need any more ribbon, fairy lights or tissue paper, as I discovered on decluttering!!! I found it helpful to categorise do not buy lists under topics like KITCHEN, CRAFTS, XMAS, HALLOWEEN, TOILETRIES etc. I can't wait to see the final result and have my fingers and toes crossed for her getting the job 🙂

That's such a great idea! I do have a no buy list for certain makeup products, because I wanted to stop spending so much money on it and my stash got so big and I was not able to use all the nice products I already had. I analyzed my makeup problem categories and put them on the no buy list. The concept works really well for me.
Why not expand it to other areas? The first things that go on this list are gift wrapping paper and fancy napkins. I had to smile so much because Dani's new clear napkin bin looks exactly like mine.
I'm also a visualizer, maybe that's why I like the videos with Dani.

@@proud2bnumber1 lol, napkins seem to be more popular than I thought! For my make-up, when I buy a new item, I check the months shown as safe to use and stick a reminder in my phone to replace in 12/18/24 months as shown on the package. When the alarm goes off, it's a treat to know I can take my old packaging to be recycled at my cosmetics store and get a replacement. If there is a lot of product left, I know I probably don't need to replace it, as clearly I hardly used it 🥰 congrats on the do not buy list. It's definitely helped me 🤩

As someone who has dealt with poverty most of my life, I am astounded at the amount of money spent on things that never get used or get thrown away. I see so much waste. Time, resources, and money spent in ways that feel so wasteful. I am glad to see her purging so much.
Same, it's wild to me how people have the extra money to acquire so much excess that they don't need or use.
I grew up poor. When I made great money...I bought myself what I wanted. Granted I am a thrifter, but it adds up. Just because you don't understand how or why...doesn't give anyone the permission to judge.
@@seashellmermaid Sure it does. I'm judging that a house full of expired food, clothes that are never worn, ect. is wasteful.
This declutter/reorganization will be so helpful in saving money. Dani can use her inventory and not have to shop. A win.

Dani looks amazing, it’s really like she is carefree and loving her life with the weight of the chaos off her shoulder. Her smile lights up her face, hair looks great and her outfit was fun and cute, she just looks like someone you’d see and want to be friends with. Personality is shining! Amazing job Dani, the hard work has paid off!
I enjoy watching declutter videos very much. But here in your channel I especially do enjoy to spend time. I don't just get the tips of organizing and how effectively to use what we already have but also enjoy to get to know and spend time with kind people like Dani. She is very positive and natural. Since Dani seems to be the type of person that forgets about things if she doesn’t see it it might be helpful for her to label things such as her kitchen cabinets.
Another suggestion is maybe she should try to only shop from a list and check her inventory before adding something to her list.
Pull out trays in those base cabinets would be very helpful in reaching anything stored in the back of the cabinet. Those have been a game changer for me.
I love this series. I would love to have a Dani as a neighbour or colleague or something, she seems so fun to talk to
I keep trying to tune in on release time as if this is old school TV as if I might miss it if I don't watch it as soon as it airs haha

Fingers crossed you get the job Dani! Love to see how much stuff you let go of. Now you just need to organise a bunch of parties to use up the booze AND the forks (also maybe the skewers?). Can't wait to see that kitchen finished - just please keep the categories running (coffee / coffee; medication / medication; not coffee / medication; medication/ coffee) to make your own decision making easier.

I love Dani's energy. I have adhd so if my meds aren't out where I can see them, they will cease to exist 😅 good luck with the new job, Dani. I also love her outfit in this. So cute.
I have adhd too and i totally forget to take my meds of they are not in plain sight . So stupid !
I have resorted to using my smart phone to give me a daily reminder to take my Vitamins! It goes off two times and then I swipe it off my phone after I have taken them. This has been a game changer.
I'mma keep it real. I have multiple alarms on my phone for my adhd meds AND I keep them right in sight where I take them at each time and I can STILL forget to take them. This morning the alarm went off, I took one tab in a pouch out, put it on the placemat of my kitchen table where I was having breakfast and walked away from it. LOL. Even with meds and multiple supports, the struggles are so real. Keep the faith adhd peeps.

Dani, maybe you could create a few boxes with kitchen things you had decluttered because you had double versions. They could be "starter boxes" for someone who just moved to your city in South Korea. And you could offer them in the great way you offered the clothes boxes ... Just an idea ... : )
P.S.: It could be a starter box for someone who loves baking, too, and has just arrived in the country from the US or Europe ...

I really like the party cabinet! Very clear to have such a dedicated space and it makes sense to have it up high since it’s not every day that you throw a party.

Use a daily pill organizer and put it in a visible spot. The bottles can be kept in the cabinet. Refill the organizer either on the first or last day of the week.
Dani is making a great impression on anyone who sees her problem solving with such grace and humor-just the kind of worker and coworker companies wish for! This is a great unintended interview in addition to the formal ones she is taking!
Dani might find using a small weekly meds dispenser a good way to have meds visible but large bottles out of sight. Just refill the small one weekly.
Watching you talking to Dani in the first episode is so different to now! You were trying to be so careful and diplomatic with her! You have a new friend there for sure!

For the kitchen, my one suggestion would be to swap the contents of the two base cabinets used for food storage and baking pans so that the baking pans and utensils would be closer to the "baking station." It would save steps while baking.
I Just love these decluttering/hoarder video's. It really helped me in my journey to start decluttering about 4 years ago. I'm still not there but it gets easier. Big thank you for the people that open up their homes.

I’m watching my 18 month old granddaughter and I had to wait to watch today’s episode after I put her down for a nap. The struggle is real!
Would it help for Dani to print out an inventory of what lives in each bottom cupboard & tape it inside the door? That way she won’t have to wonder if the waffle iron is in the back on the top shelf. I did that when my mom came to live with me awhile & it kept things from constantly migrating to where a space was empty at the moment, but something else really lived there. Think that & decluttering her house (took years) started me on my declutter journey.

It took me 7 years, sweep after sweep until I only had what i can actually use. Now i can thoroughly clean my house in a few hours, and i love it. These videos were so good to watch. I was cheering for you the entire time. Keep it up. You did good. I feel like you have broken the pattern of overconsumption and accumulation along with the fears and anxiety that goes with it. As someone who loves to bake, can I suggest that you swap out the locations of items you have in the lower cupboards? The baking pans should be in the lower covered directly across from the baking station. The food storage containers would make more sense being located directly across from or closest to the refrigerator where they're going to be stored.

I've always read its not safe to place food storage, pots and pans, food or anything that will touch food under the sink. Makes me nervous when I see this.

Great job! My husband has way too many baking trays and SOOO much "Tupperware" ie mostly not actually nice Tupperware. We have a cupboard of doom in our kitchen. Open the door to look for something and half of the contents will end up on the floor! Can't wait to declutter that. Also, drawer. We have a drawer like Dani's unlimited space drawer.

🙋🏼♀️slapchop owner here. I donated mine five years ago, and this winter I inherited my mother in laws Pampered Chef’s famous tool and donated that one without hesitation.
I couldn't do the everything out at once unless I had a huge table. Otherwise would be overwhelmed and nowhere to move.
