Great video. Love how the tips are about actual nuances of driving the car instead of entry level advice like "hit the apex". Took a second and a half off my time around Spa literally the next lap I ran.
Hi Tom, your best bet is to ask on the iRacing forums, Facebook groups and on the Reddit groups to see if anyone is currently running a league for the FR2.0. You would be welcome to come and race the Dallara F3 with us if that took your fancy? We have another 8 rounds of this season and the following season sticking with this car. The F3 and FR2.0 have very similar traits. The F3 is possibly slightly easier to catch spins with.
@@LimitofAdhesion I think something that might take away from that feeling would be including a clip or voice over intro of what the video is about before the main channel intro :)
@@LimitofAdhesion I can give my thought, I tried putting first gear as lights went red, then only just accelerated when light went green, whthout any clutch or break in the process, managed to get past 2 cars at the start and eventually win the race yesterday in top split, that felt awesome.
Awesome stuff Giorgio. Congratulations on the win. I recorded starts for several cars yesterday for the video so that will be up today or tomorrow. With the FR2.0, I use a button clutch on my wheel. 1st gear and throttle so that the green rev counter is just above the 1st gear indicator on the in game wheel. When the lights go green, I release the clutch and wait a beat for the car to start rolling before accelerating. Dave from the hot lap videos does it a different way. Full brake, full throttle and just release the brake when the lights go green. It works but I think it is a fraction slower. Anyway both methods in the video. Thanks for sharing your way. That's the way I often start in the Radical and other cars with high power and low weight. Works well as long as you are smooth with your right foot. Cheers Gareth
In my opinion, FR 2.0 is the best openwheel car in a simracing history)
Thx for the video
Thank you! Glad you liked it.

Really pleased to hear it helped you so much Chris. That's great news.
Thank you for this video, made things a little clearer to me. I’m not faster yet, but feel
way more comfortable now. Speed will come one day….. :-))
Glad it helped John. Once you're comfortable in the car, the speed comes fairly naturally.
Great video. I would have called tip 5 "Don't turn into the corner too early" since that is how it's normal described.
Thanks Matt. Yes I could have gone with that. But I had Martin Brundle in my head!
Really great tips. Thanks!
Thanks Andre, glad you enjoyed it.
really liked this video, great examples
Thanks so much Basil. Glad you enjoyed it.
Makes me sad this car is gone from officials :( its what got me into open wheelers 😢
It was my first purchased car on the service. Racing it in the final season made me fall in love with it again. It was pretty special.
How would I get involved in any f2.0 league racing?

intro is a tad long mate
Thanks Ethan, I think you're right. Will be a bit more self editing on the next one!

How to get away well at the start? Im struggling
We've been talking about a starts video. I'll get it done soon.
