Is this a new series where we each use our favourite car?

Just started iRacing a couple weeks ago and 1600 has been the most fun I've had so far (against AI until I get better) .. It's just thrilling keeping this car right on the edge of control , where one lapse of concentration could send you to the back of the pack. I was enjoying Formula Vee before this and there's no contest.. I just don't know if I should start trying to build my safety rating in any of the Formulas ... I fear I'd be too tempted to send it instead of driving conservatively.

Can you explain the button for clutch set up please? No matter what I do, autoblip, autoclutch or clutch set as a button, the upshift always revs out unless I take my foot off the throttle.

0:55 Newbie here… I guess I don’t understand what you mean by using clutch. The clutch pedal? Push in the clutch pedal, change gears, then release the pedal? Seems slower than just using auto blip so I’m assuming that’s not what you mean. Are there settings for the car I need to change? I saw someone in the comments saying not to use auto blip. Help would be great. Thanks. I am so slow at launching with this car.

Same as every other category. Pray to the iracing gods for competent drivers in your lobby. Rookie through C licence so far, I've witnessed so many drivers who think they can pull off Verstappen esk moves. Majority of my SR losses are from being hit by other drivers. Hell even on the races where I make sure to start from the pitlane, some fools manage to find me on the track just spoil my day. I wish SIM racing hadn't grown in popularity so much, wouldn't have these idiots in every single lobby. Pro tip to those wanting to know how to get past rookies, try a different sim, and join a league. Iracing for the most part is shit.

The Elantra N was my first car I bought in iracing and haven’t touched it since I unlocked GT4 and GT3 racing. But I forgot how to drive the damned thing bc I daily a FWD and compete in autocross with a FWD but all of my RWD and AWD car racing got me used to (Throttle=angle)

for Elantra launch I use full throttle, clutch at bite point + handbrake which I have mapped to a button on my wheel ... on green light release handbrake and the slowly bleed off clutch
