Just Realized I forgot to add the Vote count in the video. So here it is: - 15 Polls - 33,000+ Votes - Average of 2.25k Votes per Poll I'll be sure to add the vote count per poll in the next video I do, just like I've done in the previous videos.
I suppose now that I’ve had time to think about it, it isn’t that much of a surprise that the pikmin 4 areas got as high in the pole as they did. They are really well designed and gorgeous. While I’m still not the biggest Hero’s Hideaway fan (more of serene shores and distant spring girlie) I can admit that it still is a very unique area regardless. 5:29 that’s cool to see, thanks!
Thanks for the comment. I apologize for mainly arguing against your comment when showing it, I wanted to get my point across but looking back I could've been more neutral.Again thanks for the comment(s) across the polls, and this video. It really does mean a lot to me. I hope you have a great day.
I really do like the water maps in Pikmin games Distant springs, Perplexing pool, Twilight river and Serene shores. Just being in a pool float and drifting around would be great. I’m sure you can guess what my favorite Pikmin type is.
oh hey it's me i was off this week so I got to watch this entire tournament unfold and oh boi oh boi there was certainly a lot of debate, but I really think that's just because of how good the areas are all round. there is there a lot of nostalgia in the first and second game, a lot of three stans, and the new fans that loved pikmin 4. hence, a lot of arguments ensued but it was fun to be there, I personally haven't played Hey! Pikmin (hopefully that changes soon) but I can see arguments for all the areas. i was slightly against hearth being the fourth place winner, but after replaying it (with only 22 pikmin) it did give me a change to appreciate the area a bit more. Garden of Hope while one of three's weaker areas in my opinion, still is pretty good. it's first run-through is certainly just expanded tutorial stuff, but when louie self-denonates it certainly becomes a lot better. maybe my feelings have just drained for it after learning there was supposed to be a sixth areas with blues. arcadia and hideaway are both just good areas. same with most of the series. pretty well-rounded caves with pretty good level design even if hero's is radically different in that regard Pikmin 1's areas are my least favourite but I've seen two people now place Distant Spring in first place on two tier lists so I can understand I'm the minority here. Distant looks very cool but playing it just feels a bit worse then most stuff, even in two. certainly one's best area. Pikmin 2's best is hard to decide because I like all the areas. Distant Spring 2 is pretty sick but Perplexing lacks some sort of warmth I feel for Valley and Wistful, Valley for it's double purpose, and Wistful for it's post game exclusity and autumn vibe. But hell, if Awakening had better caves, it would certainly by in the running. Most balanced levels in the whole series (you also did what in Awakening Wood in 2014) I'll still stand Twilight River. Even if it's lilypads do slow you down, the visuals of tiny people on a giant lilypad and the fact that the game is time-based makes the mechanic not to annoying. The theming and the way it's split into two sub-areas, one for wings, and one without them is something I really like, as every other area in three you get the new type of pikmin straight away, unlike here. Tropical Wilds is also very good but I don't think it can be my favourite due to the fact that the story, is very short, and half of it's a boss fight, the other half is building a bridge and I cannot actually decide on what Pikmin 4 area is my favourite. Like, they aren't the most balanced (Rescue Command Post, Sun-Speckled Terrace, and Acradia to some extent) I can't decide between the last four. In my challenge run Giant Hearth was deceptivly difficult while also being very fun (did you know you can kill a Fiery Bulblax with one red pikmin and a lot of Oatchi headbutts), Hero Hideaway is just cool but isn't the exact vibe, Primoridal Thicket's overworld is great but the caves are missing something, and Serene Shores is also good, but it's also missing something but I can't decide what (lack of use of hazards? There's lot of water but not much else. Maybe puzzles?) So yeah great video btw I just realized I forgot to say that
Yeah, I'd have to agree with pretty much everything you said here. Some of the placements I did was based on what other have said and had little of my personal thoughts attached to it (Gotta keep the stans happy). And I definitely agree that Pikmin 2 had the most balanced areas in the series. I also have to thank you for being one of the handful of people that consistently participated in every tournament and watched all the videos. It really does mean a lot to me, so thanks.
@@Invizeron np man. it's been fun. the videos really gave me a new prepsective on how most the community views pikmin as a full series. not sure what else to say but yeah, sick content
5:30 I think they were claiming recency bias due to how many Pikmin 4 maps made it to the late stages of the tournament, not as a comment on which of the two finalists won.
Yeah I think that’s what I meant by that comment. The pikmin 4 areas are good, great even, but considering how recent (and popular) pikmin 4 has been it makes sense as to why they were up so high.
Yeah, it was a big surprise to me as well. Especially since other polls had it losing and normally the ratios (winners) of these types of polls remain the same regardless of the platform its done on, which content creator holds the poll, and the amount of votes. Also Primordial Thicket is a great choice for being an all time favorite.
Hero’s hideaway and blossoming Arcadia are both my favorite areas in 4, but garden of Hope should’ve beat Arcadia and perplexing pool I think deserved to beat distant tundra
Idk why but it's like I hold resentment against Pikmin 3 ;-; hate to be that guy, but maybe it's cus I felt like Pikmin 3 was miyamoto's decision to make it simplistic and betray Pikmin 2. I think Pikmin 4 is my fave now but I honestly didn't binge play like I did Pikmin 2 back in 2005.
That not how Recency bias works. It doesn't just go away in three months and can affects hard core fans. Your have to wait a few years to see where people remember it or not.
Hot take: i genuinely do not respect the first 3 areas of pikmin 4 (most else of the game is great) simply because their music is AWFUL. It's. Just. Note note note sileeeeence. The olimar's tale has much better remixes though.
The Mud Pits my favorite cave I jsut wish it had been a bigger cave. 6 levels instead of 3. Also...it needed more enemies or atleast more enemy types that used mud or lives in mud Ps THEY NEED TO PATCH THE GAME SO ENEMIES IN THE OVERWORLD RESPAWN
The house is so...boring. and ruins the immersion of pikmin I love pikmin 1 and 2s grungy post apocalyptic look and 3s maps taking place strictly in nature no human stuff at all thts what I love. The house would have been amazing if it had been run down

yeah I think I know your favorite Pikmin type
it's purple right?
Obviously purples lol

I will never not regard the Forest Naval as an S Tier map
Fair enough, Forest Navel is for sure a great map. I just tried to balance everything as much as I could.
@@Invizeron Understandable, and I get your reasoning for putting it where you did on the tier list. I just personally love it a lot!
super unique. starting at the highest point and delving below
It was fun to see the community argue!
Yup!
Ha ha so funny for real
I love arguing with other Pikmin fans, especially since i've got a lot of hot takes lol
1:33
"Look gary there i am! There i am!"
Whistful Wilds and Forest Navel are my favorites 🤷♂️
It was funny how it was almost always hey 9ikmin then pikmin 1 then pikmin 2 then pikmin 3 and then pikmin 4
Yeah, every bracket was pretty predictable
@@Invizeronforgot to add this: i really love your Videos bc i find it Hard to find a good pikmin youtuber that isn't screaming in your ear
Thanks, I appreciate it.
What's the favorite area in Pikmin 3s mission mode and Bingo Battle?
Yes this would be a great tierlst by community
@@benferrisinverts4198 True. 👍
5:14 hey look at that it’s me!
Primordial Thicket is my all time favorite area.
I'm still in shock and kind of majorly bummed that peoples majority favorite is the boring house.
Yeah, it was a big surprise to me as well. Especially since other polls had it losing and normally the ratios (winners) of these types of polls remain the same regardless of the platform its done on, which content creator holds the poll, and the amount of votes.

3:09 Why did such a great one come in dead last? :( It's by far the best of those 3.
WHAT THE HELL DID HEY PIKMIN DO?!?!??!?!
1:18 And I honestly don't know why the ones in 1st and 2nd got so many.
I think garden of hope would have won if more people played pikmin 3
Never let these people rank again
Distant spring not winning is criminal
I wonder what's next, Pikmin Music Tier List?
There's currently a favorite character tournament on-going on my community tab. So that'll be the next and most likely final tournament I'll host.
I personally think the Impact Site should be lower.
In my opinion the Hole of Heroes is one of Pikmin 2s worst caves.
5:12 No u shouldn't. U should make it a better area like the Pikmin 3 ones.
4:30 WHY :(
I am actually a fan of the Formidable Oak :)
Formidable Oak is great, I like it. I just put it low since its mainly a boss fight.
4:17 Why :(
I still hate heros hideaway, its the only part of the game I don’t look foward to
