      Me too. I also feel like Chadwick’s legacy as T’Challa would’ve been maintained if the character lived on. Obviously Chadwick has a great legacy despite it. I just feel like there was more for that character to do in the MCU and as you stated the character is a symbol and I’m sad that they moved on from that symbol. I have not seen the sequel yet but tbh I never saw T’Challas sister as a main character type.

      Bro, a totem is literally a symbol. The character is the totem, because the character, according to you, is a symbol. And you just said that you don't kill the ideology because the totem breaks... But here you are butthurt that they continued the ideology when the totem broke.
      You're talking out of both sides of your mouth, because you don't even understand the meaning of the words you're using. By your own argument there's no need to recast, because all you need is a new symbol, and we'll be getting one going forward. Probably M'Baku in the short term, and T'Challa Jr. eventually.

    • @dawb86
      @dawb86 Год назад +1

      @@JCPRuckus M'Baku, like all the other major male characters of Wakanda and the greater MCU in general, has been nerfed. It was symbolic that he not only didn't challenge her for the throne personally but to have Namor crack his shield with that hard hit and completely neutralize him yet he stabs Shuri through the abdomen and she continues to fight and nearly wins. I don't know why you're all assuming that child is going to be used later down the line to become the king as Nakia isn't even raising him in Wakanda. You said the character (I'm assuming you meant title itself) is the totem.They're saying the story of T'Challa himself and obviously the one which Ryan wanted to tell originally was greater than just one man and they should not have abandoned that plotline as even Chadwick would probably have felt there was a greater purpose with that story. It tied in much more with the original as T'Challa had now become (through no fault of his own) an absent father and was re-establishing that connection with his young child as well as his people.

Why you think because of TChalla's absence and his death is pervertedly Celebrated for it? Also, why is phase 4 exclusively nicknamed the "M-She-U " when the previous phases had issues with female characters anyways, let's not forget that Captain marvel felt like it was a "Shoe-in" to Endgame and was made to be stronger than both Thor and hulk, after her first movie, while they were nerfed in Endgame. Also, let's not even add the pseudo Discrimination against other men in different ethnicities with Latinos/Hispanics and Asian men, both being under represented or suppressed in mcu, or not being in leagues with our black and white male lead characters. In either form, dads of any race just can't simply be heroes or leaders and always seen as a villian in some sense

    Black Pantherette 2: "Where are the Men at Forever" is a disappointment for Marvel/Disney. The original Black Panther (BP1) outperformed BP Forever. BP1 grossed $1.34B world-wide and BP2 Forever is at around $801M. Also $1.34B in 2018 is about $1.8B today, and BP Forever isn't even close.
    No private, profit-making company is in business to break-even. BP Forever is a financial disappointment. "BP2 Forever" needed around $800M to break-even before they can make a profit. It's box office is around $801M now. With the release of Avatar, BP2 should be flat lining now.
