Have you every heard the question, if you knew you were going to die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day? Well Chadwick gave us a great example, living out your purpose to the very end. Even, Simone told Whoopie, he asked her to establish his foundation, and the next day he transitioned. RIP, my Africa brother!! You was truly anointed by God. Peace and love, Wannabes Forever!!!

I hope he didn't get rid of that script. That script is part of cinematic history. The movie that would've been. It's not useless. Someday when he's ready maybe he'll read it or something. They were more than two people working on a project. They were friends. Two creative deep thinkers who formed a close friendship in a short time. And losing a close friend unexpectedly is one of the hardest things to do.

I think that Chadwick would have one of them to keep with the comic book and not focus on his passing away he was more about the art and not about focusing on himself when people grieve it's hard for them to sometimes think about what the person would want and it's more about trying to get through the grief
I can now understand why it would have been impossible for Ryan Coogler and the actors to do a movie with a recasted T'Challa so soon after his passing. The were in grief and mourning. The movie they did had to reflect that. ✌🏾✌🏾

@@Michael.Miles1 Yes you really do lack empathy, you just admittied that you did'nt even think about his feelings or the rest of the cast and crew who worked with Chadwick until just now when the man broke down in tears about it. But that was the first thing I thought about when Chadwick passed, because along with his family THAT'S who's effected the most by it. Everytime I heard a recast Tchalla argument not ONCE did I ever see someone acknowledge how they felt about it. And it's for that reason I never took them seriously and was seriously against it. You were only concerned about yourselves and the movie not the actual people who had to push through their grief to get this done.

So myopic in your thinking and do not have the capacity to see things beyond the simplicity of black and white or right and wrong. In a situation as complex as this one there is no real "right" or "wrong" just two awful solutions to a heartbreaking problem.
Believe it or not there ARE other factors involved. T'Challa as a character means a great deal to people in what he represents beyond the page and the silver screen. Some feel that to kill the character in a way kills or diminishes what the character represents. That said, what Chadwick brought to the character will never be duplicated and regardless his legacy will live on. But the fact is, he died, the character like so many others in fiction still lives.
So do I think the character should be recast? Absolutely. If Robert Pattinson died in a car wreck, WB isn't going to write him out of their sequel. But given the circumstances and the timing of when this movie had to be made it is very understandable that for at least this film Ryan and his team used this film to pay tribute and honor their fallen King.

@@Michael.Miles1 You know it's easy to predict when people have been called out, because they suddenly start using mental gymnastics and adopt a it's everyone else that's the problem not me argument. Plus bringing stuff up that had nothing to do with the argument in order to score some kind of victory. I never said that recasting in general was a bad idea, what I said was YOUR not taking into account the feelings of Ryan coogler and others the ones who actually knew Chadwick and that is wrong no matter what so as long as you people don't I don't feel inclined to take you seriously. You and the others apart of the recast Tchalla movement are being selfish and apathetic that's all there is too it. And until I see a recast argument that takes Coogler's and the others grief into account I won't bother looking at it.
I saw Black Panther 2... Two days in a row and l cried my eyes out both times. The movie was AWESOME and the dedication to Chadwick was done beautifully. Ryan C. God bless you.🙏🏽💔

I saw the movie and I feel it was for all of us who mourned Chadwick. The movie felt more like a memorial that gave us all permission to work through the stages of grief together. For me, I walked away feeling a bit of peace.
Me personally i like it more than the 1st. 4 what Ryan & the cast were up against idk how they oulled it off
I’m still not over his death I still cry every time someone says his name I have never been this emotionally attached to a celebrity in my life. His death really affecting me and I don’t even know him personally.

I feel the same way. I feel like I lost my brother and I don’t even know him personally myself. It’s been hard for me to watch Black Panther since his passing, but lately I’ve been watching it in honor of him. I saw the second movie as well. It was really beautiful how they honored him in Wakanda Forever.

That's how emotionally connected he was to his friend and brother Chadwick Boseman. They had a deep bond and probably could've done more great movies together if Chadwick was still alive.
Chadwick would be so proud of his Black Panther family rn. They did a phenomenal job with the film and continuing his legacy. I hope Ryan knows that.

He was such a great person! To see him working so hard during those choreographed fights would have been gruelling for even the fittest but when you're sick with cancer. That must have been so draining for him! What a trooper to the end! We have to keep his memory alive every time! I for one will never forget him!

The first BP wasn’t just a movie but a moment in time and history for Black people, and Chadwick lead the way in shaping that moment. Knowing Chadwick was sick and basically dying makes it that much more phenomenal. No way they could have just moved on. They did an extraordinary job with BP2, especially having to rewrite the entire script. It was an awesome tribute to Chadwick while setting the stage for the new official BP in future productions. Kudos to Ryan!!!
I remember being devestated by Chadwick's passing. Seems like he was an all around great guy and definitely went way too soon. Definitely watching the film in his honor 🤲🏾. It was an honor watching the first film 🙏🏾.

It was heart wrenching to hear Ryan and to think about Chadwick, what he did... knowing he wasn't going to be here. What strength and grit that took. I can say that the first time I saw Chadwick in the marvel universe Avengers, his aura shined through..he embodied the Ta Challa character of Black Panter. It was just the way he carried himself with a strong sense of pride, humbleness but quiet strength 💪 he will be missed. May he rest in peace.🙏🙏🙏

I assume its mostly the same script bc the original release date was slated for May 2022 so there’s only a 6 month difference which may seem like a lot but I’m sure the studios take a long time to do final approvals of new scripts and stuff like that

That's the sound of loss and love. Ryan's love for his friend, collaborator and brother impacts him in such a way that although the loss can be overwhelming, it's encouraging and motivating to be authentic and purposeful during our physical existence called life.💜

4:53 The matching outfit made me feel so happy , I just watched this movie today and I cannot begin to explain the sadness I feel. I wished I would've watched it before his passing because then I would appreciate the movie so much more but I'm somewhat relieved I didn't because the pain I would feel would be too much. Ive watched at least 6 videos dedicated to this man ; Chadwick Boseman and each of them hit me like a ton of bricks to the heart, My curiosity has led me to this video and I'm now writing in this comment section because I've seen and understood how much of an impact this man has made to the world, I am proud to be a black person and I hope others can continue to honor him even in death.
And this is why this role wasn't supposed to be re-cast(so soon). It was beyond a character it was history and a connection that will have to be continued without his physical form.

I get the feeling those a part of this movie are worried we were traumatized by Chadwick's passing or by the internally felt pressure to make sure the meaning of the first one wasnt brushed over... on the first, we're fine, on the second, we handled it and were heard so we're fine on that too. You all have a clean slate and a built in audience (that will be singing the movie's praises) for take off into this upcoming release on this next Black Panther FILM!!! Good luck, everyone!!!
I went to see Wakanda Forever last week. It was an amazing film! I loved it and cried so hard at the end. Rest in Heaven Chadwick. We miss you. #Wakandaforever
I was upset when they decided not to recast but now I see it would not have worked. The cast was grieving. They did BP2 incredibly well. They addressed all you go through with grieving. Anger, sadness and incredible change.
it is amazing that he was dying while doing all those action segments in the first film..i really didnt needs this because i am crying but i needed this to know and see such a man. i am so down he is gone but uplifted that someone like this was in my time..a true inspiration. Listening to Ryan who was close to Chadwick, who obviously had a lot of respect and care for him and his realization of the subtle signs that he now realizes he missed but now make sense, is difficult to listen to. Although Death is a part of life it was far too soon for young Chadwick, which is why is so upsetting to those who loved him and those who respect the value of life.
You will forever be admired, loved, missed and thought of Chadwick. Rest my brother

He knew he was gone by the second movie. So he gave us the greatest Black Panther movie ever. Hits hard though to know that he pretty much had no fight left. It would be hard to even do a second film, even with his blessing.

It’s just the craziest thing that Chadwick never spoke about his illness and did arguably some of his best work in that period. Just to think what he could’ve done beyond this, it’s just so crazy and sad ya know
