I hope he didn't get rid of that script. That script is part of cinematic history. The movie that would've been. It's not useless. Someday when he's ready maybe he'll read it or something. They were more than two people working on a project. They were friends. Two creative deep thinkers who formed a close friendship in a short time. And losing a close friend unexpectedly is one of the hardest things to do.
I think that Chadwick would have one of them to keep with the comic book and not focus on his passing away he was more about the art and not about focusing on himself when people grieve it's hard for them to sometimes think about what the person would want and it's more about trying to get through the grief
I can now understand why it would have been impossible for Ryan Coogler and the actors to do a movie with a recasted T'Challa so soon after his passing. The were in grief and mourning. The movie they did had to reflect that. ✌🏾✌🏾

T'Challa as a character means a great deal to people in what he represents beyond the page and the silver screen. Some feel that to kill the character in a way kills or diminishes what the character represents. That said, what Chadwick brought to the character will never be duplicated and regardless his legacy will live on. But the fact is, he died, the character like so many others in fiction still lives. So do I think the character should be recast? Absolutely. If Robert Pattinson died in a car wreck, WB isn't going to write him out of their sequel. But given the circumstances and the timing of when this movie had to be made it is very understandable that for at least this film Ryan and his team used this film to pay tribute and honor their fallen King. Take this with you on your way out the door: Alfred Tennyson once wrote, "Authority forgets a dying king." I saw the movie and I feel it was for all of us who mourned Chadwick. The movie felt more like a memorial that gave us all permission to work through the stages of grief together. For me, I walked away feeling a bit of peace.
I’m still not over his death I still cry every time someone says his name I have never been this emotionally attached to a celebrity in my life. His death really affecting me and I don’t even know him personally.

He was such a great person! To see him working so hard during those choreographed fights would have been gruelling for even the fittest but when you're sick with cancer. I can say that the first time I saw Chadwick in the marvel universe Avengers, his aura shined through..he embodied the Ta Challa character of Black Panter. I wished I would've watched it before his passing because then I would appreciate the movie so much more but I'm somewhat relieved I didn't because the pain I would feel would be too much. Ive watched at least 6 videos dedicated to this man ; Chadwick Boseman and each of them hit me like a ton of bricks to the heart, My curiosity has led me to this video and I'm now writing in this comment section because I've seen and understood how much of an impact this man has made to the world, I am proud to be a black person and I hope others can continue to honor him even in death.
The first BP wasn’t just a movie but a moment in time and history for Black people, and Chadwick lead the way in shaping that moment. Knowing Chadwick was sick and basically dying makes it that much more phenomenal. No way they could have just moved on. They did an extraordinary job with BP2, especially having to rewrite the entire script. It was an awesome tribute to Chadwick while setting the stage for the new official BP in future productions. Kudos to Ryan!!!
I assume its mostly the same script bc the original release date was slated for May 2022 so there’s only a 6 month difference which may seem like a lot but I’m sure the studios take a long time to do final approvals of new scripts and stuff like that

I was upset when they decided not to recast but now I see it would not have worked. The cast was grieving. They did BP2 incredibly well. They addressed all you go through with grieving. Anger, sadness and incredible change.
And this is why this role wasn't supposed to be re-cast(so soon). It was beyond a character it was history and a connection that will have to be continued without his physical form.

It’s just the craziest thing that Chadwick never spoke about his illness and did arguably some of his best work in that period. Just to think what he could’ve done beyond this, it’s just so crazy and sad ya know
tbh I wouldn't mind if Coogler releases the original script as a book. I don't think Disney or Marvel Studios will sign off it but I would read the original vision with T'Challa.
God made it possible he held on to his hand the entire time he was going through his illness. Yes terminal cancer makes you very tired. A very strong man. He was a true hero. RiP!
An individual dies, passes on from their time on Earth. They are accepted by The Lord, ascend into Heaven, for all eternity. Pure Love. The people who remain on Earth, cry, as is to be expected, as is normal. Meanwhile the individual is Happy. There is so much in the world, on Earth that doesn't 'make sense', prompts further questions. One thing for certain, There definitely is more to the experience beyond the world, the Earth, There is Heaven. There is salvation of the soul, found in Christ, through Jesus Christ. For the time he was here Chadwick hit us hard with his presence, so it makes sense his absence hit even harder. I remember the jokes on social media about his appearance.... Horrible. I will miss Mr. Boseman. He has a permanent etch on my heart. A King always🤍

He knew he was gone by the second movie. So he gave us the greatest Black Panther movie ever. Hits hard though to know that he pretty much had no fight left. It would be hard to even do a second film, even with his blessing.

The sequel may not have the impact of the first film, but the sequel is certainly respected.
It’s just the craziest thing that Chadwick never spoke about his illness and did arguably some of his best work in that period. Just to think what he could’ve done beyond this, it’s just so crazy and sad ya know
