Fallon would ask dumb stuff and fake laugh all the time. Kimmel would be interrupting with jokes every two seconds. Colbert would compete on who makes the most clever comment and be a little too rude. Trevor just nailed it. Great interview...
Im not a fan of fallon but he did an interview with black panter where he had fans talk about what black panter meant to them and he introduced Chadwick to each of them. I was impressed.
*I love Chadwick Boseman so much!* THIS interview highlights the very reason why he was cast to play "The Black Panther". Its because Chadwick carries himself with such authenticity, humility and poise. He embodies all the qualities of a great Leader and King. #FAN

Dom_90 I think that's the point. He doesnt feel like Wakandians(?) are his ancestors because he's been living among black people in America, so he identifies himself with them. He's been abandoned by his biological ancestor(?), so he found home among other African-American in his neighborhood.
Seriously. I've been crying for days like I knew him personally. He was and is just sooo special. His eyes showed his gentleness and strength, and his smile radiated warmth and fun. And his intellect and awareness pulled me in. He was everything. I'm gonna cry forever over the loss of Chadwick Boseman. My spirit is crushed. He was sooo young and had sooo much more to offer and give and show us all. But if nothing else, he showed us that we can be full of peace, joy, strength and purpose even when life isn't going as planned. May the Lord and our Ancestors carry you on. You will forever be in our lives and hearts.
First Kobe Bryant and now King Chadwick! Both in their early 40s and gone way too soon. I'm just blown away by Chadwick's passing, still trying to accept it though I suspected he had cancer I was hoping I was wrong. Such a strong courageous man to have made such phenomenal movies while going through the challenges of cancer. You will be missed King.❤❤
7:45 "people can't listen to that the entire film" can speak for themselves. Personally I dig it 100%. Chadwick is def a great actor. He sells the character very well.
Nah, British accents have been used to convey a more aristocratic or posh sense of characters since the dawn of film. It’s about time that ‘tradition’ goes out the window.
Goodbye to our King. You have made us laugh and now cry. We all mourn the loss of your beautiful legacy and have joined a new constellation in our hearts...
“Everybody should be the hero of their own story. You should be the hero of your own story. “ -Chadwick Boseman Wow!!! Wisdom from someone who will long be remembered as one of the greatest artists of his time melded by humility, personal strength and excellence.
True....the accents tho. When I heard Winston Duke as M'Baku, I was like "Nahhh this dude is Nigerian". I was very surprised when I found out he wasn't. The accent was very spot on even down to the "We would not have it oh!", the way Nigerians speak at times. They did their homework thoroughly. I'm totally impressed with their attention to detail.
Totally agree about being the hero of your own Life! And yes, we can find empathy towards each other if we can listen to each other's pain, we can relate.
Hate and lies don't make one a nazi, unless the person making that assumption is an idiot. Being a member of the National Socialist party (nazional sozialitische) makes you a nazi. That's what makes the leftist rhetoric so stupid. A person disagreeing with you doesn't make them a nazi. It doesn't make them a racist. It doesn't make them anyone but someone who disagrees with you, and if you call them nazis without justification except "hate", then you are just stupid. You are also hating when you hate someone who hates. Why is that such a hard thing to understand?
Chadwick Boseman has such an humble, wise disposition. Great interview with equally awesome, talented Trevor Noah. Rest in Heaven Chadwick.Thank you for sharing your talents and wisdom. My condolences to Chadwick's family.

And a Kudos to this man's groomer because the hair and beard are giving me Hey daddy vibes lol He has such a gentle soul-you deserve all the praise. After watching all of his interviews the last few years, he always did seem tired at first but would take a deep breathe and just GO. Rest In Power King 👑🖤💪🏾
Lol Trevor is so right, a lot of the time you watch African things in American movies and you wonder where exactly they got their information from. Case and point the pronunciation of Lagos in Civil War. But this movie was so authentic I loved every moment.
This interview is iconic. The movie was incredibly iconic. The people behind the actors are iconic. The truth is, this was a movie that spoke the vision and narrative black people have always had about themselves: we know, and have always known that's who we are. It's the rest of the world that needs to see that and acknowledge it. Chadwick Boseman was very instrumental and necessary to King T'Challa in that he brought the perfect grace, humility, vibe and essence that is recognisably and undeniably African. It had to be Chadwick. We can never thank him enough. Rest In Power bro. 🙏🏿🖤
Chadwick Boseman is the right man for the role, I wish nothing but the best for him. I'm looking foward to seeing Black Panther in #InfinityWar and the sequel

Usually crossing arms across one's body is a closed action; an action that deflects and is aimed at protecting oneself and pushing the recipient away. It is a testament to this man, to his abilities and to his humility and humanity, that when he did it, it was as though he was offering a hug and transmitting respect to the recipient all in one, albeit from a distance. Truly inspiring and appropriate in these challenging times. RIP Chadwick Boseman and thank you for sharing your amazing talent, humanity and for inspiring a generation.
In revisiting this interview today, Saturday, April 27, 2019, I understand far more of what Chadwick is saying about everything he touched on than I did when I first saw this interview which was before the movie hit theaters. I'm in awe of how Trevor did NOT mention that he was a part of this movie. I admire everyone's part in keeping it all a secret from moviegoers so the totality of enjoyment and the opportunity to be thoroughly entertained was afforded us all without spoilers.
May I just take a moment to say. Not a lot of interviewers show as much respect to actors or the films of Superhero movies. I really do appreciate the interest and deep insights Trevor took from the film and wanted to discuss with Chadwick, this is probably one of the first times I've seem an interviewer treat the medium as an artwork and not as a bloated "flavor of the month" superhero movie. Thank you Trevor. Thank you Chadwick, and Ryan Coogler, and the rest of the Black Panther cast, loved this movie, seen it 5 times, watching it again tomorrow.... #WakandaForever
ScarlettP .. I know. And I though All the Chris we’re in their 40s. Most are in the late 30s but look like they’re almost 50😆😆, No shade but do look at their pics untouched and raw without any makeup or cover gloss.

So beautifully stated. It's so hard growing up and not knowing truly were your people come from. It feels like a piece of me was ripped away. This film is so important to the African diaspora. I hope one day we can finally connect in some way.
As a Kenyan I genuinely look forward to that time when we can all unite and make our differences the source of our strength and accept each other so that we don't have to seek acceptance from other people😊
Vanessa Rukorio Me too. I feel this movie is like the first time in history were almost all Black People all over the world actually agree with liking this film. It feels like we are on the same vibration or something. I know that sounds weird but I finally feel a strong connection with all my people.
Watching this interview 4 yrs later reminded me of how brilliant Chadwick Boseman was. Both as an actor and as a human being. His insights into the movie and his explanations were so wonderfully deep and articulate. The acting fraternity has lost a gem!!! Continue to rest in peace Chadwick. 🙏🏽 Wakanda Forever! 🙅🏾♂️
Rants And Faves 41 wtf? Dude looks far younger than me and I just barely turned 30. I need to step my game up damn. P.s, I read the comments before I watch the videos so you have informed me lol.
I think a British accent would have been a TERRIBLE choice. Just the idea that they played with the idea is horrifying. I'm very glad they thought better of it.
this movie really united us as blacks, and Africa there was a whole new hype when it came out in February. am emotional i have lost my adulthood hero...
You can hear the quiver of passion in Boseman's voice, making sure he represents his process of thought as intimately and responsibly as possible. He's a very good man. Black Panther IS the movie of 2018. Disney doing it right!
Chadwick is an amazing actor ... He has played Jackie Robinson and James Brown with greatness. "Black Panther" is big jewel in a career that will continue to rocket to higher heights!!
Watching this interview in September 2020 in Joburg, SA. Crying and laughing all at once. I have so much love for you both these amazing men. May your soul rest in peace King T'Challa. Your work added so much value to so many lives.
Chadwick is so amazing! ! Talented intelligent and seemingly mild mannered and humble. If only! He slays every role he plays. I love you Chadwick! ! It's your time! The world is yours, use it wisely.
He was a humble, noble person who always kept his heart on his shoulder. He brought the character-Black Panther- to life, and during every fight scene he radiated power and for every second being in character or not always kept up his own standard while still keeping peace and spreading a warm heart. His smile was something irreplaceable, making us feel proud that he was chosen for this role, to be portrayed as a hero, because even without the suit, he was a true hero within, a Black Panther come to life. For still bringing smiles to millions, while u had a silent war yourself. I take my hat off to u. The whole Marvel fandom is mourning for u, we will miss u, more than words could ever express.. thank you. -Thank You Chadwik Boseman, for everything. Wakanda Forever.
Wow!!!Looking back at most of his interviews, he always said something that reflected where he was at in his life. What he says @4:08 -4:30 quite tells why and how he fought his cancer battle almost alone with so much strength and courage.
I love how Trevor conducted this interview - allowing Chadwick to speak his mind without interrupting unnecessarily like a lot of other hosts do
Supriya Naidu same here, plus he also didn’t make any lame jokes about the president, which was nice to see.
It's all a timing thing really. Each segment in a show got a certain amount of time it can go on. That is showbiz for you.

He was diagnosed at stage 3...
Didn't he!!! HE'LL NEVER BE 4GOTTEN🙌🏾 🕊
My paternal grandmother and my aunt died of cancer...my cousin is a recovering cancer patient and I can tell you..to have done all those movies while battling this sickness is so amazing that words defy me. He was truly amazing and never complained..may he rest in peace.
*Black panther* is such an awesome movie Chadwick boseman is perfect fit for the character , Props to Marvel for choosing him💯.
Kung-Fu Kenny Family You are my fam
#FAN
I loved his spirit! Humble, giving, and smart. His body of work was so powerful. Chadwick Boseman was truly a superhero!
i’m crying i miss him so much RIP to this legend
He never died, he just went to a better place
As along as he is in our hearts he is still alive
He Speaks so wisely. I could listen to him all day
RIP CHADWICK. I WISH YOU HAD MORE TIME. REST AMONGST THE ANCESTORS AND WE WILL MEET AGAIN WHEN THE HEART SHAPED FLOWER REBLOOMS.
I really think he has vibranium in his skin. This man cant be 41!
84music1 you’re right, because he’s 40 lol. He turns 41 this November.
But in all seriousness yeah this dude is the physical manifestation of the phrase “black don’t crack”
Melanin
As my daddy used to say "That boy just got black on his skin "
Well, obviously he took some of the heart-shaped herb. ;1
84music1 😂😂😂😂
His laughter was from the soul. It warms you. So genuine. So authentic. It draws you in. You will never be forgotten King. Rest in Power Chadwick Boseman

Even in this clip, he was likely in pain. He knew he was sick, be knew he was dying.

ScarlettP lmfao I love that part lol thought I was an outcast

Lol
Isn't that what gets them shot by cops?? Lol
Truth be told
A lot of White males get killed by cops as well but I doubt you smile about that lol hypocrite
*Bury me in the ocean with my ancestors who jumped from ships, 'cause they knew death was better than bondage*
Wakanda Forever
ok
Trumpmeister I assume you didn't like that
Isnt that a bit dickish of a thing to say to all those who survived the torturous experience?
NJOverclocked I would like to have a real conversation with you because someone to know the status of those people centuries ago is an amazing person and to be there wow
Dom_90 I think that's the point. He doesnt feel like Wakandians(?) are his ancestors because he's been living among black people in America, so he identifies himself with them. He's been abandoned by his biological ancestor(?), so he found home among other African-American in his neighborhood.
His loss feels way too personal 💔Behind his legendary character was an even stronger person 😢 He was my hero 😔🖤🙅♀️
Yessss even stronger in reality!! Mine too!
Gateaux Q I think he was referring to the African accent not the British
Goodbye to our King.
You have made us laugh and now cry. We all mourn the loss of your beautiful legacy and have joined a new constellation in our hearts...
What a gifted individual with a beautiful heart and soul. This one is hitting me hard. 😭
"In my culture, death is not the end"
Gone too soon❤
“Everybody should be the hero of their own story. You should be the hero of your own story. “ -Chadwick Boseman
Wow!!!
I'm totally impressed with their attention to detail.
as a Ghanaian myself, when I heard him speak, I was like "see omo naija"
Totally agree about being the hero of your own Life! And yes, we can find empathy towards each other if we can listen to each other's pain, we can relate.
A lovely sentiment. Too bad that when white people try to explain their feelings or points of view, they are relentlessly shouted down as being nazis.
Anon Ymous That isn't true.
If you are shamelessly shouting hate and lies, then you may be mistaken for a nazis.
Well said :)
Hands down one of the best interviews of Chadwick Boseman. Great questions, thoughtful responses.
Chadwick Boseman has such an humble, wise disposition. Great interview with equally awesome, talented Trevor Noah. Rest in Heaven Chadwick.Thank you for sharing your talents and wisdom. My condolences to Chadwick's family.
He was sooooo! brilliant, bright, articulate, funny, extremely talented, sexy and educated I just can’t stop crying 😢💔 RIP Chadwick Boseman 🙏🏾👑 I ❤️everything about you and you will be missed immensely😩
I loved the African accents.
me too 👍
They managed to do them well without being hard to understand or detracting from the movie in any way. It was super well executed
Me too. The accents were beautiful. ❤️
chadwick did the accent on point
I like how Trevor said "inspired" bcz south africans were confused by dat accent...
"You should be the hero of your own story" that hit me hard. He truly is Black Panther
Chad, I know you are tired brother. You have been on non-stop press tours. We the fans- are praying for your strength. Can we gloat on how awesome that interview was. And a Kudos to this man's groomer because the hair and beard are giving me Hey daddy vibes lol He has such a gentle soul-you deserve all the praise. So talented and such a beautiful representation of greatness for the culture.
Tiara Sade' I swear I would be like DON'T ASK ME THAT SHIT NO MORE!!!! 😭😭😭😭
Wow this comment... only to learn that he was battling at that very moment 🥺😣 such a strong person
He really did seem tired. I just thought he was so busy.
Meet The Tablés right! For someone in good health he was doing a lot FOR US. Forever grateful!
After watching all of his interviews the last few years, he always did seem tired at first but would take a deep breathe and just GO. Rest In Power King 👑🖤💪🏾
He entered the STAGE WITH Grace and DIGNITY! He even walked that way! I love 💕 it! REST IN POWER CHADWICK!
Lol Trevor is so right, a lot of the time you watch African things in American movies and you wonder where exactly they got their information from. Case and point the pronunciation of Lagos in Civil War. But this movie was so authentic I loved every moment.
For the rest of your life you will be greeted with that...
Rest in peace Tchalla!
Rest in Peace brother, our African gift, my kids loved you in Black Panther, you brought back black pride. We lost a great actor!
Chadwick Boseman is the right man for the role, I wish nothing but the best for him. I'm looking foward to seeing Black Panther in #InfinityWar and the sequel
I NEVER YIELDED AND CLEARLY I'M NOT DEAD!!!
Sammy Derrick " All that challenge shit is over with... I'm the king now!!!"
Ayan Mohamed I love you. 😍😍😍😍
*My Human brain*: What a profound conversation between an African American brother and a South African brother, this is true solidarity, it is the link we need as Africans to band together.
*My Lizard brain*: OMG my chocolate bae and caramel bae are TalkinG to each other, two daddies in one video they're so prettyy helpp
lmao mood
Kkkkkkkk silly

😂😍stop droolin it's contagious
Heart of a lion to keep doing what he loved and keep his struggle in away from his fans. He didn’t want to worry anyone 😥 wanted us to remember him in the brightest light 🙏🏻 Rest In Peace king
Who just comes back to this interview after finding out that Chadwick is no more? Sad news King am really broken by your news RIP I/we'll forever miss and remember you. 29.08.2020
This was one of the best interviews by far!
Chadwick was so emotional at 10:05 to 10:40 and I felt it
I am sure Trevor is watching this over and over again. R. I. P Chadwick "Wakanda forever" honestly I was expecting for black panther 2
I cant believe Chadwick is 41 years old!!! Clearly black doesn't crack lol
ScarlettP I'm impressed
Damn, I thought he was in his 20’s!
Ikr?? He looks like he's in his late 20s
ScarlettP .. I know. And I though All the Chris we’re in their 40s. Most are in the late 30s but look like they’re almost 50😆😆, No shade but do look at their pics untouched and raw without any makeup or cover gloss.
ScarlettP it's lotion.
He carries passion and positivity along with him
SabsAndCo maaaaan why do the best of us leave so early
Just watched black panther 2, I so miss him and those days, I wish I could go back then in time and relive all these years again having my present conciousness
Oh My God I couldn't believe THAT HE'S GONE
REST IN PEACE KING
Powerful words,”Everyone should be the hero in their own story”, Great interview.
Rochelle Dais - Agreed
Very True 👏👏👏
Chadwick Boseman speak really well, damn this guy is well mannered & humble down to earth.
mohd zul Well he went to Howard, just saying.
We will get there.
*LEGENDS NEVER DIE . LONG LIVE THE KING . WAKANDA FOREVER . REST IN PEACE CHADWICK*
Wakanda Forever! 🙅🏾♂️
I know 'Black don't crack' but come on!....He's 41 going on 21 wtf? lol
IKR, Trevor Noah seemed older than Chadwick here, yet Noah is 33.
WHAT??? HES 41?????!?!?!?!?? I thought he was in his twenties!!! Omg 😲
FORTY ONE ?!
Omg he looks good for his age 😮😮😮😮😮
Rants And Faves 41 wtf? Dude looks far younger than me and I just barely turned 30. I need to step my game up damn. P.s, I read the comments before I watch the videos so you have informed me lol.
Not all heroes wear capes. This man was incredibly genuine and will be missed. Thank you, Chadwick. Rest peacefully, King. 🤴🏾🙏🏾❤️
I think a British accent would have been a TERRIBLE choice. Just the idea that they played with the idea is horrifying. I'm very glad they thought better of it.
this movie really united us as blacks, and Africa there was a whole new hype when it came out in February. am emotional i have lost my adulthood hero...
Unbelievable!!!! He was so humble, positive, cared soooo much for others and a REAL LIFE SUPER HERO.💔🇹🇹💙🙏😞😡💔💔💔💔💔
DaftSwank I agree. Those noble "real life" heroes he played were great. I love real life heroes. And this man played them all. He's a great actor!😀
I am not African American but even I appreciated the portrayal of different African nations. Really good movie for a lot of reasons! 🤗
Here collecting memories of his being. R.I.P. We Love You. Wakanda Forever & Always
NOOOOOOO Chadwick he is my favorite actor and hero hope his spirit lives on...Wakanda Forever 🖤
That black handshake at 11:00 gave me life. 👌🏾😭
i just commented that!!!! so beautiful!!!! 💪🏽
Omg yes 😍
who’s here after he died bruh
KiidJohnn me. I’m 😞
I wached before he died also because i like Trevor.
Watching this interview in September 2020 in Joburg, SA. Crying and laughing all at once. I have so much love for you both these amazing men. May your soul rest in peace King T'Challa. Your work added so much value to so many lives.
I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
" Everybody's the hero in their own story "
-Chadwick Boseman
"Everywhere you go now for the rest of your life you will be greeted like this." And so it was.
Chadwick Boseman is going to receive that Wakanada salute from people for the rest of his life. He better enjoy it :D
And now he’s gone. Rest in peace
emily carter I just saw. This is awful... he’s with Stan Lee in the Ancestral Plane now :(
Saw Black Panther last night it was beyond badass!!
I actually cried when I watched the movie. This was so beautifully done for the black race. #Wakandaforever#
Chadwick is so amazing! ! Talented intelligent and seemingly mild mannered and humble. If only! He slays every role he plays. I love you Chadwick! ! It's your time! The world is yours, use it wisely.
"You are a good man with a good heart, and it is hard for a good man to be king." Rest in peace, good man.
