Do se do qualcosa a te, Re è il re che c'era un dì, Mi è il mi per dire a me, Fa la nota dopo il Mi...🎶 Che sorpresa sentirti suonare questo piccolo tributo a un musical che da bambina adoravo! Ciao,Glenn💕

Now this is good television. I love listening to Glenn, both talking and playing. What a fantastic soul.

This version of the Fugue is the best that I know.
Just an UNREAL moment of music.

I love that there are 3 different video recordings of Gould performing the Bb fugue (BWV 891). This performance has always been my favorite for its ferocity. As a matter of a fact, this fugue is my all-time favorite piece of music. I first heard it almost 10 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. The fugue is so perfectly crafted that it almost sounds contrived, but develops so organically that it also sounds spontaneous and natural. I still remember how floored I was the first time I listened to the fugue and heard that quadruple stretto/double inversion at 18:49. What a way to end a piece

Almost sounds contrived but still develops organically is exactly how I’d describe it too. I can’t believe I’m just hearing this now 😳

I still get goosebumps when he plays the Bach. Amazing.

My love for fugues is far bigger than decline of the world.
    That's why we will survive.

Glenn Gould made a study of the composition, technique required to perform it, and how to execute it. All of this made it easy for him to explain to others foundational substances of music forms.

There were as many Goulds as there were voices in a fugue

Gould really had a peculiar penchant for yelling matrons.
