    Really like that case, especially the side profile.
    It has a simplicity without being boring.

    Photos and videos can only convey so much. I was immediately positively impressed when I had an opportunity to see and try on wrist at a Worn & Wound Wond-Up. Was one of the few watches that stuck in my head after the watch fair. The case felt very well built and it boggled my mind that such a compact diver could be 1000m.
    Eventually I got one. I had to go with the Pac-Man dial and I got the limited edition Revolution Collab version that's all black DLC called the "No Barracuda" .
    I agree on just about all your points. The case is very reminiscent of a Panerai... Not the Radiomir, but more like the Luminor and Submersible cause of the lug style. Yes, they could have elevated the quality of the grains of rice style bracelet. The links are ok, though, one side had super tight screws. Messed one of them up sizing.. oh, well. And, the clasp certainly could be updated, too. I'd like a clean simple double pusher deployant.

      I wasn't sure if Vostok borrowed the look from an old Nivada or vice versa but the similarity is there and it doesn't help Nivada.

    Very nice I like it it seems like they add some diversity to an oversaturated dive watch Market. That has to be the best spin rate I've seen in quite some time

    I do like it. The timekeeping for the price is not good. I'd be hesitant about that movement choice.......

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  Год назад

      I’d put that down to poor regulation - most likely not the movement but the watchmakers who put it together

    I like the dial and the indices are cool. And it's about the dimensions of an skx013. The bracelet looks nice but the clasp is a letdown at that price. Still very cool.

    Really interesting piece, shame about the bracelet but you could always buy it on the strap and fit another one.

    what's up, Ivan? hope you & your family are all doing well. Interesting watch you got there. We do not see much of that brand in USA, but I have seen a lot in Mexico and few other Latin countries. I wonder whether it is popular down under where you live. The design aspect of it, it is not my cup of tea and price seems to be bit out of the range, but it is somewhat interesting. However, as you said, the bracelet and clasp look really cheap considering what they are asking. Of course, with that asking price, I would rather buy Tissot or Hamilton...etc
    PS: I hardly ever forget to reply my comment, but I guess that you missed one. ha ha. Anyway, take care and see you next time.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  Год назад

      Hello Alex! This watch is online only as far as I am aware... not seen in shops here either. I think there is a bit of genuine history and design here to justify the price... certainly much more "off the beaten track" than Tissot anyway! Cheers, Ivan.

    Thank you for this video. Do you happen to know if servicing this watch is expensive?

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  Месяц назад +1

      It’s a standard dive watch construction with a standard 2824 base movement - shouldn’t be much more to service than any Seiko diver

  • @pelicanhead

    Could be wrong but l thought they kept the pressed clasped to stay with the vintage aesthetics. About the small screw heads, l would suggest a smaller screw driver.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  7 месяцев назад

      Upgrade some parts but don’t upgrade others - you like that move?
      Re: screwdriver - don’t be daft, you should use the correct size otherwise you risk “screwing” it up 😂

    • @pelicanhead
      @pelicanhead 7 месяцев назад

      @@PerthWAtchYeah, I'm a carpenter and know a thing or two about screwdrivers. You seemed concerned about the small screws and l was merely pointing out the need for a small screwdriver to fit as l couldn't grasp why the size of the screw should be an issue. Maybe you were addressing desk jockeys who have the hands on capabilities or a puffer fish.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  7 месяцев назад

      Smaller screws which require smaller screwdrivers are easier to damage in bracelets like this. That’s a simple fact. And many screwdriver sets may not have a size appropriate for this. Another simple fact.
      My hands on skills are better than a puffer fish but I (and many others) have damaged screws in these settings before. The smaller the screw, the more likely.

    • @pelicanhead
      @pelicanhead 7 месяцев назад

      @@PerthWAtch l would suggest purchasing a set of good quality jewellers screwdrivers. I have never damaged a bracelet resizing it via the screws. There is no shame in being incompetent with tools and if this is the case take it to a jewellers and have them do it for you.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  7 месяцев назад

      You miss the point and make some wrong assumptions. My comment is also meant as feedback to the company and can serve as a caution to viewers.
      People should NOT follow your advice about taking to a jeweller. You obviously haven’t been around watches much - most jewellers will run a higher risk of damaging these screws than me (and many other watch enthusiasts).

  • @bluecollarwatches7048
    @bluecollarwatches7048 Год назад

    More than what I budget for a watch, and it looks like a Vostok, and for that price point that bracelet is a let down from the appearance.

      @@PerthWAtch sometimes you have to actually have a watch in hand to pass an honest judgement but the RUclips reviews are always an important part of researching a watch before purchasing. My honest opinion is that it’s overpriced, for $950 I don’t think I would be a customer for that watch. Straps would be ok but myself I usually go for a stainless band, just my preference.

  • @BryanO92
    @BryanO92 Год назад

    That is not a $1150 watch. Shocking clasp, I don't like the end links, there is no way that is a $200 bracelet. One of the few cases where I would forgo the bracelet and buy one aftermarket instead. So what are you getting for that money? Water resistance. You're paying about a $400 premium for a 1000m rating, plus $200 for the bracelet. This is otherwise a $500-550 watch on leather I would say.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  Год назад

      Yeah fair points mate - I think it comes down to how much the brand is worth. I don't know much about them but they do seem to have history. The bracelet is lousy but the case is very good I'd say.

    Too small for the average man, unless he has small wrists and arms. Should be minimum 40 mm or preferably 41 mm . I guess they are targeting the Asian market . I agree the bracelet looks . cheap , especially the clasp . They should have done better .
