Ah, the many Separatist fleets I have decimated with the Pride of the Core in Republic at War
WetToiletSeat love that game Empire at War forces of corruption.
I mean seriously who doesn't like Empire at War
WetToiletSeat me lol sorta
WetToiletSeat Lol malevolence was better IMO, one shot from the ion cannon then I have multiple munificents and a couple Providence class jump in around it and rip it apart
Will Brown The Malevolence used its own turbo laser batteries to destroy disabled ships. It didn't need any frigates to support it.
The Anaxes War College System is a good idea but as it is implemented though it does not go far enough or include a number of items though. It divides the fleet into only 7 classifications, does not IMHO differentiate enough at the high end, nor does it account for support ships, small craft like fighters/shuttles, space stations, planetary assets/vehicle types.

Out if universe that was a compromise between different fans who interpreted the EU differently
Theres not enough ships in the 2000-16000 meter range to justify more ship classes. Especially since SSD's dont tend to be treated as strong as they ought to be for their size. Plus I think your classification is too relatively rigid, since it doesnt give as much room to varying ship roles (i.e. secutor was considered a star destroyer despite being 2.2 km due to its light armament)
Personally I think the biggest issue is its only based on length, despite that being a horrible way of measuring ship size. The executor and Eye of Palpatine have similar length, but the Eye of Palpatine is many times larger due to its shape.
The bellator looks dank af
I feel like, if the empire had a lot more ships that were dedicated anti fighter ships as well as more point defense on there larger ships, than they wouldn't have fallen so easily if not fallen at all to the rebels. I also believe that the grand moffs shouldn't have had so much power. Especially when it came to building up fleets. Bigger, isn't always better. If you throw a victory class up against a squadron of Y-wing's and X-Wings, then as long as the Y-wings around the back or bottom of the ship, then the rebels win almost every time. But if you sent Y-wings and X-wings at a Karrack or IPV-Patrol frigate, then the empire wins.
I love Star Destroyers, they make me hungry for pizza. XD lol
Hey, not to sound rude but a lot of the pictures you used were of the Assertor Class Star Dreadnought that was made about 2-3 ABY. I was just pointing that out because maybe some people would be confused as to what that was
I apologize if that sounded rude
First Galactic Empire you are such a polite person 😃
Wookiepedia says the Assertor was launched after Yavin.
You're very much right, and I appreciate your rare politeness in a YT comment section, but I thiiiink he was using the Assertor as an example of a dreadnought? I don't remember many images of the Mandator line.
You should do a video on all of the types of star destroyers the empire used
Thank you for doing a video based on my suggestion
EckhartsLadder Love the Video...was the Star of Coruscant one of those Non-Fleshed out Old Republic Ships?
I'd love to see videos like this one getting an update from you, with your new playlist, production value, and ever-improving overall video quality.
could you do a video on the smallest starfighters?
Another suggestion for a video would be all Walker types
Mandalorian Dreadnoughts anyone?
lol he said 1000 kilometers Instead of 1000 meters around 3 minutes
Really great videos and channel! Im surprised you don't have more subs... you deserve more honestly
3:33 wait... a THOUSAND kilometers long!?
The tech was there for these large ships, they just didn't need them.
Invincible Dreadnought was 2 kilometers long , and they were old (like 2000 years old and yes, they were in use in time of Galactic Civil War, but not in major fleets).
Your videos are very well made. I think you'll make it pretty well in the RUclips community.
I love ur Doge Photo xDDDDD
During the old republic age many ships were classified as dreadnoughts but few if any were the size of true dreadnoughts
hey Eckarts what is your oppinion on the SDSD freudian nightmare? do you think the empire would have been able to built it?
A Star Dreadnought that was built before the Empire, well before the Empire actually, was the one that the Hutt Clans possessed in their main battle fleet. They picket it up from another civilization and repurposed it for their own use.
It was actually built several hundred or thousands of years before the Empire and was still in service at the time as the Hutts never decomissond it, instead they would update the technology within it.
Although I'm not a big fan of ships that are too big, I like Imperial Dreadnoughts, especially those with super weapons.
Put the preador verses the subjugator heavy cruser
look into an old republic command ship called the Courageous, used during the mandalorian wars. it may be big enough to qualify
you could also lock one the old republic and the sith empire
Supposably and I cannot confirm this there is a geonotion dreadnought for the separatist but I think that's legends if it exists
Cool vid dude yet again... did anything happen to the discord? I can't seem to find it
Damn, you missed a lot of the other ships, not to mention multiple ships that predated the clone wars and MANY ships from the Old Republic/Sith Empire days
Oooh, think about what would have happened if like; an imperial class star destroyer were to appear back in the old republic.
good guys, bad guys... that depends the point of view of each :) anyway great vid.
I'm pretty sure the there was a mandator called The Pride of The Core
Holy crap last time i actually commented on a different video of yours was when you had like 400 subs
Growing fast :P
In terms of naval warfare when aircraft were introduced battleships and large capital ships became obsolete. In modern warfare only small naval ships are used such as destroyers
Tell that to the Gerald Ford, Queen Elizabeth II, Nimitz, Kirov, Kuznetsov, and many more classes that are simply massive, some even more massive than the largest battleship ever designed.
I would argue they simply changed the terminology
they 'call' them destroyers despite being larger in many cases than heavy cruisers of archaic days.
Loving these videos!, been wondering about your intro music though, whats the song called?
I always wondered what the republic did with those 7 or so Mandator class ships during the clone wars. if anything they would be stationed around Core Worlds, but not present during the battle of coruscant, very odd.
they might have been at the battle of corusant but the movies, tv shows, and games just didn't show them
and then the empire was like: yeah but what if we built big ass ships?
Hi! I like the style of your channel. I was wondering what the intro theme is...
Thanks man!
praetor battlecruiser was pretty up there though?
This would be mostly legends but, Did Palp secretly make the death star to battle the Vong and just say it was going to "Bring peace to the galaxy."?
3 years late but met
I think a book in the true Expanded Universe (not that disney bs) mentioned that he made them (death stars) because he felt a threat was coming from the unknown regions and he wanted to prepare for it... also as a side note Canderous Ordo from Knights Of The Old Republic mentioned encountering a strange meteor looking object that melted some of his ships
The mandatar class.
The cattel class battleship is the supremacy (mega star destroyer) of its era.
4:10 thats starwars empier at war
4:37 thats a bellator-class, not a mandator-II. Mandator-IIs are basically the same ship as Mandator-I, they only have long-range hyperdrives installed on them.
Also, the dreadnaughts specified int he example earlier which you show are Rendili StarDrive dreadnaughts, which were made like 200 BBY so they wouldnt be pre-ruusan ship classes.
dreadnOught = super star destroyer. dreadnaUght - the rendili stardrive dildo ships. the spelling is a giveaway.
EDIT 2: you forgot this ship. its never explained if this is a mandator or procurator class, but it's a star dreadnought which as used by a republic member world
www.theforce.net/swtc/dagger.html#battleship4
I forgot: the empire didn't necessarily have less, but larger ships compared to the old republic. the empire was more militarist compared to the old republic, so it could afford to have both a shitload of smaller ships for system and sector patrol, as well as strategic forces with star dreadnoughts, battleships and cruisers.
Warsie there is no official image for the Mandator I
@@Miloreo18 the official image is the same as the Mandator-II, because the only difference is the FTL system is long-range
@@Warsie There's no official image of the Mandator II either though
at 3:29 you say ships that are 1000km or longer or lesser a 1000km dread i would love to see dude :D
koldgrim he probably meant 1000 m (1km) because 1000km is way longer than the executor
Please remaster this one
do all imperial ships
Procurators and that star dreadnought in star wars tales weren't included
Ships that are 1,000 kilometers or less? 3:26 That's a long ass ship.
what about the pride of the core class?
Daniel Martin you are referring to a mandator class 1 ship
What is the outro song?
Amaze
1000km long ships? 1000KMs? The circumference of Earth is roughly 40 000km. So if you put 40 of those ships end to end, you make a ring around a bloody planet!?
カラス there are ship yards, e.g Kuat Drive Yards, is a very large ring formed around the planet.
3:06 is that a cat?
The word executor does not have a z.Its not the exezecetor
loveforlauren Say the word Executive.
I never see anything knew. It is all videos 3 to 4 years ago. Its weird
3:26
1000 km long.... lol
"1000 kilo meters or less were dreadnoughts"
Me watching how insecure ecks was 3 years ago
The republic the good guys? That news for me. after all the good guys would not clap their hands at the sound of the Galactic Empire. The Jedi and republic was corrupt. This is why they where so east to collapse.
Im da 5000 sub
what about sith drednaughts?
A thousand kilometres or less.
the republic din't havee star destroyers they had crusiers.
you really need to change your intro. not only does the audio sounds like a faulty recording, it sounds like that old confederate song "when Johnny comes marching home "
yo
ahem, first
