I considered a 35C originally, I really wanted something that I could tow 100 miles without needing to trailer it so I went this direction instead. Also looked into the HO & SHO models, but I think the Box Wedge fits my needs the best. Enjoy your weekend Around the Yard! Take care - Brent
Jerome - Glad you are enjoying the 28 Pro. I considered that model initially, but it seemed awfully similar to my NorthStar in capacity 22 tons vs. 28 tons so I started looking at the 35 ton models. I’d be in trouble if I lived that close to the factory… kid in a candy shop kind of thing, I’d want them all… 😂 Minnesota suites me well, just far enough that I can’t stop in after work, it has to be a special planned trip. Enjoy your Memorial Day, take care - Brent
Yeah, I’m glad I have the sorting table extension. Jury is still out on weather or not I needed the 30 inch stroke, but I think eventually it will be used. (Probably with the Cotton Wood trees that have to come down on the property.
Thanks Heath! Very pleased with it so far. Still working on getting into a groove with it. I’m sure that will come with time behind the controls. Have a great week Sir!
Thanks Del! I am amazed at the amount of wood it can produce and the consistency of split size. There is some slash, but a lot of it I am stacking into the tote for kindling. - Got your note & stickers, thank you again. I have just the place for the channel stickers, I think everyone will like the idea too.
This splitter comes with the a single knife, bolt on 4-way wedge (I think its 4-5 height adjustments), and the box wedge (3.5”x3.5”). The box wedge is pinned in place, no need to adjust the box wedge. IMHO this size makes perfect fireplace/ campfire wood. @Wolfe Ridge MFG also makes a bolt on 6-way and a 12-way wedge for increased versatility.
The stroke limiter adjuster plates are a “new” thing this spring, previously not offered. The idea being if you have a 30” stroke run 30” wood. I more got the 30” stroke so I have the option to run bigger wood. I had in mind cutting 30’s of cotton wood or willow that just needs to be split to dry and strictly use it for campfire wood here at the house. I may end up calling WR to see if I can purchase a 24” pull back arm, or I could look into making one or making a slide on attachment that could be adjustable depending on the stroke limiter setting I choose. Wolfe Ridge is good about customization, when I hear back I’ll try and let you know or do an update video on it. Thanks for watching, enjoy your day Around the Yard! - Brent
should be able to easily do a face cord a hour which i assume you are counting stacking it also, i split by hand and can do two thirds of a cord split and stacked if i have it staged right. i am looking at getting a splitter, im getting to old for that type of work.
@Dee Derp & @Dylan Matter - So the struggling I think was do to air in the lines. I no more than bounced this down the highway for a few hours and then I’m sure it wasn’t level when connected to the lawn tractor for the first run or so. Since then It has run much better with much faster cycle times. Keep watching, I’m still learning the machine… I wanted you guys to see it for the first time the same time I was. Thanks for the comments. Enjoy your day Around the Yard!
Nice looking machine!! Im impressed by the box wedge, may look at adding it later this year to compliment my 35c. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day

That is one serious machine 👍👍💪💪
Thanks Andrew - More to come!
Thanks Brent! Enjoy!!
Thanks for watching Chris, hope you are enjoying the Holiday weekend with your family.
That box wedge is working great Brent. Welcome to the Wolfe Ridge experience!!
Thanks Dick! So far, so good!
Nice rig! Bought my 28 Pro a year ago from Chris, only 15 miles from where I live. Great vid!

Works great Brent! 👍 I like the Large table on the end that holds the splits when you don't have help. You can make firewood in a hurry!!

Looking good
Thanks Jeff & Patty - Trying to keep up, doing my best.
Nice looking splits.
Also, Brent. Welcome to the Wolfe Ridge family..😁👍
Thanks Daniel you among others are who I have to blame for joining this great family of firewood fans and Wolfe Ridge owners.
@Around The Yard : For such a great piece of equipment, I will definitely take part in the blame for the purchase. 😁👍
As you should - Thank you Sir. Have a great night!
Heck yeah Brent congrats on the splitter! Looks like you are going to make a lot of firewood in a hurry.
Hey Matt! That is the plan, time to get caught up on tree service wood… I have too many wood yards scattered around the property. 🤣
What a beast! Sweet splitter Brent👍💪👍
Now if I can just get some time to use it. ;)
That’s a beast. Awesome machine. I have the Pro 28 C
Which wedges do you run on your Pro 28 C? I have yet to try the single knife and/or the 4-way.
Looking good. Nice splits.
Thanks Heath! Very pleased with it so far. Still working on getting into a groove with it. I’m sure that will come with time behind the controls. Have a great week Sir!
Very nice machine Brent !!

Hey Brent , I got your note and sticker today also . Thank you very much !!!!
You’re welcome!
Nice WR Brent! Congrats 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Todd! Is it your time yet to upgrade?
Nice machine Brent ✔️ that beast will always be hungry 👍🪵🪵🪵👏🇺🇸 Rick
Thanks Rick! I’m sure it will be, the trick is finding the time to keep it fed. Fortunately the time to split a face cord just went down dramatically.
hi there nice splitter john
Thanks John, I think you still have the fastest splitter on RUclips.
Can you put other wedges on that splitter or is it strictly a box wedge? Can you adjust the wedge height?
This splitter comes with the a single knife, bolt on 4-way wedge (I think its 4-5 height adjustments), and the box wedge (3.5”x3.5”). The box wedge is pinned in place, no need to adjust the box wedge. I'm surprised that the return arm isn't adjustable. For 16" long logs it would be nice not to have to use the full 30" just to bring the log back.

That sure is fancy ought to be able to send alot of wood threw that rig in a hurry
I’m figuring out it is much faster than I am, especially creating content in the process.
should be able to easily do a face cord a hour which i assume you are counting stacking it also, i split by hand and can do
two thirds of a cord split and stacked if i have it staged right. i am looking at getting a splitter, im getting to old for that type of work.
If I was doing this by hand, I wouldn’t be splitting wood. Too much time, that’s the reason for the hydraulic upgrade.
Nice splitter
Thanks Larry! It has been a game changer in the Woodyard. No complaints so far. Wolfe Ridge MFG makes great equipment.
Looked like it was struggling, to me.
Poor design on the box wedge. 35 ton shouldn't struggle like that. Seen other brands do better on less tonnage!
