Melissa sometimes I contemplate making a video where I cut up a tree and when it’s time to pick up the logs I yell and search for Melissa, misses kapper, iron mike and the Branson...but I’m worried I would hurt everyone’s feelings by mistake and don’t want that. it is a nice splitter and easier than hand splitting. but cut that to one person and see the time. when i hand split there is only one guy plus the wood was all stacked that time needs to be figured in also. one on one with the wood at easy disposal i could split that by hand as fast or faster. if you think i cant put some money on it i will.

I'm glad you finally graduated to a flow thru splitter, instead of one with the foot on the end.. You really did not need Milissa to throw the splits into a pile. the splitter will push the splits off the end and will push up a pile with no one at the end of it.
You make what I call Yo-Yo wood. You pick it up off the ground and you drop it on the ground over and over.
I cut around 2500 cu.ft. of firewood per year. alone. Once a block is on the splitter bed, it never hits the ground again until stacked. in the woodshed. II also do all my blocking and splitting in the woods at designated landings so no lifting and loading of blocks out to another site just to dump them on the ground and pick them up again. and the mess from splitting is left in the woods.
I am lazy so I build mechanical equipment to make my wood cutting easy and enjoyable..

When we moved to this area we had 4 mailboxes smashed in the first 2 months. We found the solution... Schwarnmailbox... made with 1/8" steel plate. Weighs 70 lbs. It has been hit twice but barely a dent. It gets staightened up and its good to go. Needs a coat of paint after 20 years.
