I always took this as reference to ROTS where Anakin says 'You will try' after Obi Wan says that he will do what he must. Don't know if I'm the first to point this out but just saying if not.

What's nice is that those reference were never so aeavy as to cloak the story. THey are very well integrated to the stories and pathing and rarely feel out of place.
