These videos are so simple but helping me through a really difficult time. Just want to say thanks!
You’re so welcome 💚 hope life gets easier soon x
We're having our first significant snowfall right now in SW Ontario so thank you for cheering me up with this video. Have a nice candle burning, sweats on, cozy on the couch with a blanket. Hope you and Olive are having a nice weekend 🧡
Oh god that means us in buffalo will be having significant snowfall soon too. Kill me.
@@jacquelinedaniels87 I felt this because it was literally 80 degrees 2 days ago and now we are at 29 degrees Fahrenheit it’s so depressing i do not enjoy winter hahaha
I’m new to the indoor plant world. I’ve come from outdoor gardening and always had the mindset of “nah, I’ll never get into indoor plants. They’re so boring and don’t produce like crops for food!” And here I am, a couple months later and trying to find space for more plants. Your collection has absolutely made me go out and pick up some plants. I really appreciate the slow paced, relaxed atmosphere you have, especially when so much content online is so full-on and short. I feel like I can truly appreciate and digest whilst doing things in the background :)
Where those mealy bugs on your ghost? I saw something white on the stems
I love how the majestic is window peeping the cabinet 😭
That is for sure a Mcdowell 🥰
All the plants are looking lovely girl !! I’m a underwaterer sometimes too it happens 💚🪴awe look at that precious little Olive having a sunbathe with the plants love seeing her in your videos !!
Hope you and Olive have a wonderful day thanks for the upload
Thank you so much, have a lovely day as well 😊
I'm a brand new plant parent, and I loooove these videos! So many beautiful plants together is really helping me learn the different species by appearance. Thank you!
That new El Choco Red leaf is perfection!!! 💚💚💚
Love these little update/highlight videos, your el choco is thrivingggg wow! I'm terrified of moving mine outside my cabinet (it's way outgrown it), but yours gives me hope haha
For struggling emerging leaves: I read somewhere that someone would dampen a paper towel or cloth with hot water and gently hold it around the emerging leaf for 10-30 seconds, apparently it worked.
Hi Fern! I can't have that many plants due to lack of space and funds for new plants and potting mediums. I'm living vicariously through you by watching your videos
Something I learned about anthurium for the can new leaves not to get damaged the plant should stay moist during the unfurling process, beautiful collection btw❤️❤️
Yes Fern, get a terrarium! I purchased a 10 gallon glass tank from Walmart for $15 and it works great! You just have to find a piece of plexiglass to place on the top, but your begonias are going to love it!! 😁
Terrarium! Yes! They are soooo fun! 🌱🍃🌿💫🌲
Girl! I love all your plants. And all these highlights are just so fun ✨😍
Also, love how hype you get over the sunshine ☀️ So many beauty’s
So excited to watch! Hope all is well ❤️💚
Thank you 🫶🌿💖 enjoy!
Great video as always. Thank you 😊
CONGRATS ON UR CHOCO! I have fallen inlove with it and found a tiny baby for sale, got it and its srpouting a new leaf!! wOHOO♡
Also, I've found that using more CalMag has helped with all my plants unfurling new leaves without as much ripping (including my forgetii, which is in ordinary room humidity). Misting daily too until the leaf unfurls has been helpful for my anthuriums.
hi, it's so great that your el choco is back!!! also the forgetii issue looks like lack of calmag and severe underwatering together.
43min video?!! I LOVEEEE IT 🥰💜 thank you for this ✨
i m so happy to see that you ve posted 😊🎉
Thank you for showing us your plants. I love the updates you give on them and your content always makes me super motivated to care for my plants or get through my other chores. Take care. ❤️
This is so kind, thank you. Really glad that you enjoy my videos and that they help you care for your plants too 🤗 x
That Majestic is truly standing up for it's name! 😍Such a gorgeous plant! The newest leaf is like camouflage! For the Melanochrysum I have noticed that it loves water and needs moisture constantly to size up the leaves.
Great to see how your plants are doing. Some of those leaves are to die for. Hope you’re doing ok too.
One of the first videos of yours I watched was potting up those Brasil cuttings with the moss pole! Crazy to see how much it’s grown since then.
That begonia in the bag 😍 when I put plants in bags their leaves get rotten when they touch the sides! Xx
Hi fern! 👋🏼 that choco red is😍😍 I love your videos 🥰 your plants are gorgeous 😍 💖 🙏🏼
Hey! Love your videos! Tip for the black velvet, when I move my alocasias were struggling so i cut the stem as low as possible off off, and placed the stem in into a humidity box with pearlite to see what would happen. Turns out all of the circles on the stem of the alocasia have the potential to make corms and when in high humidity all of the circles made corms. The base of the alocasias also restemmed from one of the circles and I got around 20 new plants from a plant i had for only one year! If you're gonna chuck it might as well give it a shot :)
🤔 I'm intrigued. I have a black velvet I rescued that has 2 leaves that are still curled under. I really just got it bc I want corms.
Amazing collection. Love your videos. Now I want to get a Choco and a pink Thai. Stay well ❤️
Can’t wait for my majestic to size up! So beautiful!
I’m honestly so invested in your darn variegated Hoya compacta’s 😂😂 a few videos ago when you said you might get rid of the one I was like nooooooo😢
I love your video ,it is also nice to learn names to the plants, I wanted to ask where did you get your little clear plastic plastic pot nice video.
Gorgeous video! Thanks
i would definitely recommend giving your squamiferum and florida ghost some sort of support - mine are doing so so so well and they're upsizing their leaves really quickly! im using large bamboo stakes and they're so low maintenance... i love your videos they're so relaxing and enjoyable to watch
I use a bamboo stake for my ghost and it’s thriving! Best part is there’s no moss pole to water 😆
Love seeing the monthly updates. I have a pasta and McDowell and my Pasta has much darker leaves, and none of the pink accents you mention - hope this helps?
I really like videos like this, it’s like we’re really hanging out and your walking through all your plant babies :) oh and hey’ do you find your variegated compacta has different care needs then the normal green? My green is so happy and chill but my variegated one is always so unhappy no matter what. And I’ve looked for those flat mites or mites in general - it’s so frustrating and I tried 3 different time with different sellers - it just hates me hahaha
You inspired me to get a trailing jade. Mine is doing so well! Happy to see yours rebounded! Do you ever consider getting your forgetii near a humidifier or into your cabinet? Sad to see so crispy🌿💚
Your videos really help with chilling me out-thank you so much. What kind of soil do you use for your begonias?
All doing so amazing💚🌵🌱☘️
Side note, I have the same bed frame and it functions as a clothes drying rack as well! 😂😂
Congratulations on the new flower. Mine still hasn’t. Bloomed.
That begonia at the end is so pretty!
These updates just make me feel some kind of way! We are twinning though - my Thai Constellation is doing absolutely nothing as well 🙊
Fern! First I am a huge fan I watch your content daily & you get me through work! Have you ever grown a silver squill? I have one & it is trying to bloom! I just haven’t seen one in your videos & wondered😊
Yay el choco red is baaaaack 🎉
I fricking gasp when I saw a new upload
Great video. What growing medium do you have your Begonia dracopelta in?
I love your trailing jade.
Thanks!
Hey fern! I am reading "where the crawdad sing" after your recommendation but I watched the movie before finishing it.. I kinda knew the finale but i cried so hard watching it. I wonder you watched it too!
Any tips for caring for a zebra plant? :) Just bought a small one from Canadian Tire and the leaves on it are really nice and big
What nail polish is that? 😍 Love it
Enjoyable video. The plants that have some crispy edges, you cam trim off the crispy edges. The plants will survive the trimming. Take care. Waiting for your next planty video.
I think the Philodendron Florida Beauty is getting too much light that’s why the leaves are coming out completely variegated.
Try moving it to a low light spot 🌹
Vittarifolium idea - try laying that chonk of aerials across a separate pot of pon, maybe some damp sphag on top to make contact with them. Kinda like propping a crawler, just with how yours is currently shaped.
what grow light do you use in your cabinet!
Piękne rośliny👌🌱👍
can you post a link to the no drainage clear pots?
I got a choco because of yours. 🥰
I also noticed my Hoyas just started growing out of nowhere, maybe it’s seasonal
My monstera standleyana albo is also very curly.. I think they just do that maybe? I was wondering the same
I love your bed! Ugh!! Where is it from?😊
Thank you!! Just from Amazon. Search “canopy bed”. I think I might still have it linked in my Amazon storefront x
Some Hoyas prefer it a little cooler than a Milsbo. Bella is one of them
I have both a McDowell and a Pastazanum and that's definitely a McDowell since it has a red cataphyll :] Pastas will be all green.
I watched a video on how to ID them and they said that wasn’t reliable, because occasionally pasta’s can have a red cataphyll. Buuut I don’t know if that’s true or not. I agree with you though, and after reading everyone’s comments I do think it’s a McDowell. Really appreciate the input 💖
Maybe try have the Monstera dubia wrap around a moss pole?
I know this is not planty related. But can you show us your recent makeup and skincare routine in maybe fern & olive channel? IDK you look stunning as always.
Should try your og black velvet in the cabinet before you toss it always brings mine back from the brink of death
Also so glad I'm not crazy for thinking that's a pasta this whole time
I tell by the lobes if they over lap its Dean if they don't pasta
Hello Fern. You give me plant inspiration. I have a question if anyone can give me some advice.. I have a tiny hoya (watering I believe) that I've had for about 6-8 months. I bought it as a rooted cutting and potted it but there has been absolutely no growth. I can send photo if needed.
I'm a new subscriber and your el Choco red is beautiful! I have watched some of your older videos and I was wanting to know do you have a humidifier running near since taking it out of your ikea cabinet? I had one about 4 years ago but i received it in a declining state and despite doing everything in my power to save it, it did not do well and eventually died( there was absolutely no information on this plant at that time). Are there any other tips you can give me based off of your experience? Because of your videos, I am considering purchasing an el choco again and give it another try so thank you for your video content
Hey! Thanks so much for subscribing & watching. No, I'm not currently running my humidifier. The humidity in my home is around 55% currently, so it's not necessary. If it was lower, say around 30% I would run it. Typically, I don't think they require very high humidity, although I do think that they enjoy it when provided. Besides the one instance of rot (which was due to my neglect mostly anyways) I've found it to be a quite easy going philodendron. You should get another one and try again :)
@@wildfern thank you so much, i think i will!
집안 곳곳에 식물이 넘 예쁘게 자리했네요
Yes they are :)
My P. serpens had spider mites as well. On the new leaves. It passed some to my nearby P. subhastatum. No spider mites on my verrucosum. The serpens may be more prone to mites.
I took it from my south facing bedroom to my east facing bathroom, so I can shower it whenever I take a daily shower.
Treated it with Safer Endall. Soap, neem, pyrethrum and jacks brew.
Keeping an eye.
Your McDowell looks similar to my pastazanum. but yours has rounder heart shaped leaves. Have you asked the person that gave it to you where they sourced it?
I may spray my serpens with Castile soapy water every few days. The mites were present even at 70% humidity. I cut and discarded the only leaf where I observed multiple mites and webbing on the leaf blades. I find worth sacrificing a leaf if it helps eradicating those mites.
That looks like my philodendron mcdowell so I guess yours is so also. Nice collection.
Omg sooooo beautiflul
The nursey I frequent has M albos but I can’t go because life got in the way 😢
my McDowell looks exacty the same...
If you want that leaf to pop you have to overly misting it. The water breaks the seal
*maybe one of you guys could troubleshoot with me…* my Florida ghost the leaves come in bright white, but instead of beginning to turn green they start to mush off..?? *help*
Hi Jackie! It's getting too much light ☀️ I had the same problem earlier this year! Had to move it under a less powerful grow light 😊 Good luck, I hope this helps 💚🌱
I would DIE for one of your dubia cuttings if you’re willing to sell and ship 🥹
I'm surprised to see you have plants in clear plastic pots. My understanding was that roots hate light hence why plastic plant pots used by nursery's are usually black or Brown so the roots are kept in the dark.
I think it’s a McDowell! 😊
I have the same issue as Fern! I was sold a McDowell but some have thought it could also be a pastazanum!
Looks like a pasta to me 🙃 they are lighter, glossy & pillowy
Как же красиво! Возможно это рай 😃👍
❤️❤️
Yes is look like a pastazanum mine look just like yours
Sure, squeeze a terrarium in that apartment somewhere 😂🤣😄😉
🖤🖤🖤
Awe Fern, your plants all look so good 🤍 I’m happy that your Epi NOID came back for you 🥺🙌
Oh Fern, you’re up to 99k subscribers now!!! 😮 I’m so excited to see 100k 🎉
I’m a big fan & long time follower. 💚
Same here! It's been so exciting watching her sub count creep towards 100k! She deserves it
Watching this while rocking my Wildfern sweatshirt! 🥰
Love the casual plant check-ins 🪴
Philodendron Green Saw/Ring Of Fire/Jungle Boogie/Crocodile don't need pole, they're grows like anthurium ☕🥰
They don’t need them - but they can climb and they look awwwesome! Even some anthurium can climb, too!
Hows your silver sword doing?
It's doing well! Just put it on a moss pole :)
That's how my sarawak looks like
💚💚
💚💚💚
Always lovingly your beautiful plants, and more when I see all of them. Thank you 🍀🥰🥰🌿🍃
Your Florida beauty is def variegated! That’s an all yellow leaf on the left. Also I’ve found that it takes a few days for the variegation to appear after the leaf emerges. Give it a week!
They all come out completely variegated and then just die off :( so I guess it’s the opposite of reversion, not sure what the name for that is 😆
Ola
It looks like a mcdowell
