I just want to say I really appreciate you posting a video like this where you DON'T catch anything. Although it wasn't as action packed, it was much more realistic and it was VERY informative. Great work!

I love how far you all go to differentiate yourselves from other fishing channels. Lots of other creators show nothing but catching fish. Not Addicted Fishing! The lack of catches really reminds me of most of my experiences fishing!
For real though, I love the content... fish on or not.
That’s why it’s called fishing and not catching lol
This is on point. Fish don't always bite.
@DanOfTheWild how would you use it?
I dont know bout you, I think these vids are the best from addicted fishing.
🙌
hell yeah
Support the ones that take the time to helps guide/ teach us through these hard times of learning, in a really well detailed way. Thank you from my part. Helps build the confidence in the sport that i love.
what’s actually really cool about these vids is the fact that I’m actually about to go on a trip to Colorado for 2 weeks this weekend, and I know next to nothing about trout fishing (I live in Texas, near Galveston) so these videos have been super helpful!
Did you end up catching some good trout on your trip? Hoping it was good, I live in PA and love trout fishing.
Dude I love Jordan, he doesn't give off any vibe that he thinks he's better than you, he's not cocky, just seems like a really good dude. Wish he was my buddy.
Trout magnets are my JAM!
They work so good!
Love all of you guys.
Holy what!? Cole and Jay watch Addicted too!? Awesome!
I’ve caught a lot of trout on trout magnets too!
I wish you made those bobbers in clear plastic !!!!!!!!
Just found your channel and am loving the content. Like others have said, I have really enjoyed the fact that you guys actually show and teach the most common part of fishing - trying to find the fish. Other channels are littered with just the highlights, which is cool, but as a much less experienced fisherman, these videos makes it feel like I’m actually there with y’all learning the tricks. Really appreciate this method
Been killing it lately with the trout magnets in local remote streams. I’ve learned so much from Jordans teachings. Thank you!
I've learned alot from Addicted fishing videos. I still suck though, I need a guided day to learn more.
I love this. I'm just learning all the different techniques for trout/bass fishing and I've landed more fish in the last month then I ever have. I really appreciate all your videos.
Eating trout and watching a video on how to catch more trout... what could be better
I have caught trout up to 10 lbs on the Trout Magnet. By far, my favorite wat to fish!
Stealth is the key on those clear streams!
I like to jig the magnet as opposed to using a float. But it is fun watching the float drop!
Thanks Jordan and Addicted Fishing for another great video!! One of the lures that sits in my bag and does not get used as often as it should. Video reminded me that it is good to switch things up
this channel is so in depth, you guys do a fantastic job. Honestly the best fishing channel I have ever seen
Ngl. I learn so much when I listen to Jordan @ 0.75 %.
Addicted fishing and Richard Gene is all you need.
No better channel on you tube for learning fishing. I'm a Floridian heading to Tennessee soon can't wait to try and catch some trout... a rainbow would be awesome! I'm used to fishing saltwater
2 days in a row right on!
Hey guys I just discovered your channel and wanted to tell you how much I am appreciating it. I do not know anything about about fishing in the PNW and my adult daughter and I are wanting to get started. Your channel is the best I have seen for education. Kudos and keep it up!
Used basically the same setup this morning. Caught my two biggest rainbows with it. Very helpful videos guys
A pink trout magnet is the juice for me.
should you float it or jig it? i have some pink magnets just don’t know how to use em!
@@greasyrails2571 i use mine on a trout magnet float for crappie and trout because theres alot of brush i can get snagged on.
A) Love TM’s! B) I catch everything on em! C) I mainly fish lakes with them. D) I was in the river tonight using them…not so good, but a Daredevil was awesome! E) the run that ai discovered tonight is a “must do” place for your next small river vid with either spoons, spinners, or this set up. You will catch fish while filming….cough cough! Seattle area, really, please come up and I’ll show you the local! F) I need this smaller sized float as I have the Salmon one!
I use trout magnets for Panfish as well. Bluegills love the gold, dusty pink, and black/green colors
Those Trout Mags Work!!! I pulled my first trout with it on a Carolina rig ! I was so surprised bc I had never got any fish until I used those lures
Agree with Ben Kickert, nice to see real world fishing , interesting technique which I will try next time out , good demo of reading the water , someone said gear was too heavy , in rough streams it has to be because of snagging up on rocks , the fish often do not have enough time for a close inspection .
The stream creek and river videos are the only ones I watch and man I learn a lot.
That was a great vid. A lot of fishing vids focus on reeling in fish but you kept the focus on gear and approach. I just picked up the crappie magnet and realized the trout magnet is identical or even the same. I'm going to try the setup and see how it goes. Nice work sir.
We don't have trout where I live, but those Trout Magnet plastics are in my rotation for ultralight creek fishing for panfish.
you are literally such an amazing fishing instructor. thanks for making these videos.
I freakin' love Addicted Fishing ! You guys rock ! I really like the educational videos you all do. Footage is great ! Keep up the great work !
I love how you don't cut out out the slow parts, but turn them into a teaching point instead.
I actually found my fishing skills damaged by fishing RUclips, becuase the illusion of fast catches being the norm tricked my brain into feeling like I should change lures after only 10 minutes of no action, and I spent more time tying knots than with a line in the water
Yea the mini magnets. Love those fished under another jig. Picks up a lot of fish. Fish them on a fly rod with floating line. Never did the float tech like you, will try.
I love fishing trout magnets for stocked ponds.
Just bought a trout magnet kit at bass pro yesterday. Thanks for the information!
Your welcome! Hope you smash some fish.
This old guy learning new stuff , Thank You Jordan !!!
!!!
already know its gonna be a good one
Great video! I enjoy learning from you guys. My local stream is maybe 1/4 of the volume of that stream.... small trout.
i like trout magnents there great, your vedios are great, all addicted guys too! Mich. fishing was great from Buffalo N. Y. Love it
OK, THIS video has some good information. I'm well acquainted with the entire Magnet line. I would say that for a lot of river bows, 8lb is way too big. 4lb is the standard, in my opinion. This video is better than the first I viewed. Props for actually explaining what you're doing. One last thing I'd recommend is a match style rod. Talk about line management! A LONG rod will give you a lot of casting distance and will allow you to fish quill style floats effectively.
I landed many trout last year more than 80 in a month only chartreuse and yellow jig works very very good.
A very, very nice enjoyable video! Thank you!
I get that excited tingle when I watch these videos lol
I need a couple of those floats in my life! Sold out everywhere 🙁 nice vid 👍🏽
Seems like my day on the water... couple bites no fish but you definitely explained that very well on how to use the trout magnet.
Thanks for the trout in stream vids
Jordan is a treat to watch
Very well presented educational content--and excellent videography and narration too.
i like that you showed how to find the "hatch"!
nice vid. im on the east coast in pa and fish smaller rivers. this year ive been using the trout magnet and have had some really good success using a jig and three inch twitch technique. could you guys show how to work a smaller river jigging or twitching rod tip without float??
So I learned something interesting from watching a trout spotting video from a fly fishing channel. Water molecules tend to jam up and slow down when they hit an obstacle like a rock, so trout will often hang out in front of rocks rather than behind them because there are pockets of slow current in front of those rocks that sit in rapids and faster spots.
I have a leftover Rite In The Rain book that I want to fill with outdoors info. Primative camping spots, polaroid stickers, fishing spot coordinates, information on what I've caught where at what time, and the various setups with illustrations. Probably gonna write in a few of your setups
On those kinds of clear water conditions I like to use a clear bobber that you can fill with water to adjust it's resistance for when the fish bites. And a lot less noticeable on the surface of the water.
if you are using a bumper longer than 6-7 feet, I suggest using mono. that is because fluorocarbon lines sink, and if you have your bobber stop within the first half of the bumper line, the rest will sink and will also bring down some of your braid with it. That is all ok until you want to set the hook, and with part of your bumper underwater, the pull will result in first your bobber going down then being pulled back up. I find that my landing ratio decreases significantly when I have a long Fluorocarbon bumper sitting behind my float. in those situations, I much rather have an ultragreen mono for the bumper and maybe 3-4 feet of fluorocarbon leader after the swivel. I should also add that fluorocarbon does wear out much faster than mono, specially if you have bobber stops going up and down the line.
Caught a nice little brown in Provo canyon yesterday on a trout magnet! Jigging it though, not floating
Attention on deck - these trout magnets work awesome!
I've NEVER wanted to see a Bobber go down so badly as I did in this episode... great Video!
Have you watched the maker of trout magnet set up his rig? No swivel and added weight.
Trout magnets are very underrated. They catch EVERYTHING. I caught a 4 lb catfish on a trout mag wit a little scent
I have three go-to baits for ultralight fishing. Berkeley 1” gulp minnow, live worms, and panfish trout magnet. I love them.
Fuck ya !!! I am going Trout fishing tomorrow. Thanks for the video !!!
Great info.
awesome vid that creek looks juicyyyyyy
The green and black ones are my favorite
Well explained.
Need some of those trout and panfish sized floats!!! C'mon man! You're killin me.. haha
Great instruction.
Question so bobber is like a strike indicator so if it stops moving should I set hook like when you fly fish and your indicator stalls or anything that's not natural with current
So versatile too you could trim off a little piece of black stick it in first then slap the greenish under it to throw a multi colored bait it's endless what you can do. I love finding little worms under rocks or trees on the bank and using the natural baits around the river banks
Lol your such a nerd!
When you lost that fish the "DARN IT!!" Got me giggling
You're a loveable dude.
Great teachin 👍
One could use this method with any fly. Thanks!
These videos got me my pb steelhead
I remember when these first came out. I tried one at green peter from the bank. My friend and I caught our limit of trout and kokanee. We were giving away smoked fish.
7:18 looks golden, honey colored, yellowish
Nice video! Although I haven't actually caught trout with a trout magnet (started using it too late in the season), I have had great luck catching tons of bluegill/crappie and small bass with it. Definitely works as a great alternate for live worms..
Jordan you had Shawn shut the camera off and tied up a panther Martin and slammed them didn't you? Lol good to see videos out and if you can handle this heat to produce a video lucky us viewers you all at the addicted crew kick ass! Keep em tight
Love em'!!!
I caught 9 brown trout past week, while floating method down the stream works, I didn't catch any but did snag it once on mice tails. Not sure why but joes flies are the KING.
@21:17 I love the neature walk reference lol
Great video .. Hey Jordan, tip that Trout magnet with a Berkley Gulp Maggot & hang on 😉
If you ever come to West Virginia we have a trout here the D.N.R. came up with the tiger trout .
Baby Thor imparting knowledge!
I got skunked at “Owens river” (Lowers),Mammoth/ Bishop areas in California suffered a disease in three hatcheries that participate in stocking rivers/lakes up there. Not an excuse Lol!! But I’m sticking to it!✌️😉🌲🎣🌲ML&Aloha Braddah’s 🤙🏾Kekoa&Ohana!
I will be fishing The Dream Stream (S. Platte River between Eleven Mile Canyon and Spinney Mountain) in Colorado in a few weeks along with the Frying Pan River (Toilet Bowl). The fish are heavily pressured and are very smart in both places. Hopefully something like this will work.
Thanks for the great vids!! The cased bugs are caddis though.
Was just about to say the same thing…
Ditto.
I’ve jigged them in creeks and caught everything from cutthroat to white fish. Never float fished them though
Jordan always talks about sneaking up on the fish and not spooking them. Have a cabin on the river and have had tons of success in my life there. However, there are always people floating catching some rays. Can see the fish at all depths with the beautiful clear waters however have hard times with getting bites from larger trout. Learned a lot since finding your channel with different methods I’m yet to try there. So my question is do you guys think they haven’t hit in the past due to high traffic of floaters or is this due to my presentation method? Have you had similar experiences?
Nice
What sizes of jigs do they make? I have only seen the little ones that come with the trout magnet
Caught my first trout on the addicted steelhead worms!
Sweet!
Do you recommended walking upstream and fishing as you go or is walking downstream and fishing as you go a better strategy? Thanks ahead of time. Love the videos. Great education
Lifetime fisherman in Erie,PA. Top fishing spots in the country right here. Do you need some video here? Would love to get involved!!!
I just bought some pro cure scent. You ever experiment with squirting a little trout scent or something on them grubs?
I think I should try trout magnets on the Nisqually river in Washington going Saturday early in the morning
black/blue and pink are the best in my experience
You are awesome keep the great content up I live i Washington I sure wish we could set up a fishing trip if you ever want to make a video with a fan/follower 😀
Come fish with me on the Clackamas! Never caught a steelhead, been at it for weeks, need help S.O.S lol.
Awesome video, do you have any videos on brown trout?
They work great on palominos that have been hammered by everything else
It would be nice if those floats could be bought somewhere.
They seem to have an easy good design.
I guess a modified thill steelhead will work just as well.
Bright orange line in crystal clear water
