    Just bout this kit and the 2 1/2” to 4” I’m really exited to use them. I’m a 4th year apprentice but I’m a tool fanatic…

      You will have this for tool forever, one of the best tools I own. You are going to be looking for any excuse to knockout a hole.
      I have some videos that will help you practice for your J-card test, I just put one up on voltage drop.
      Thanks for watching.

      @@jarrettthejourneyman7196 used it today! Was punching out 4” holes, all I can I can say is WOW… 80 percent faster than my formans pump action one and it’s way lighter lol I think he’s a bit jealous🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    I have this same 6 ton kit, I bought an extra ball attachment for the 1/2" draw stud so it can be used with the quick change ball cup (saves a lot of time). There's the 1/4 turn quick release version now available as well which speeds things up even more. I have used his kit in stainless steel cabinets and it cuts through like butter. I'll soon be investing in the 2.5" - 4" K.O kit to complete my set. Having come from the hand ratchet to the hydraulic kits, this thing beats them all.

    Does the 3/4 invh punch and die require the 3/4 draw stud? Does each size require the same size draw stud,?

    • @brockroe73
      @brockroe73 Год назад +1

      The 1/2” die requires a smaller draw stud but 3/4”-4” use the same draw stud.

      Johnny Freeman I haven’t been able to get my hands on 10 ton. I have used this one to knockout 4” stainless steel with no problems. Milwaukee sells bigger KO’s for this kit.

      Jarrett the Journeyman...well it seems like the 10 ton has all the knockouts with that set...do they sell different variations with these sets?

      Johnny Freeman check out the Milwaukee 2677-23. This is the six ton with the KO’s shown in the video plus the 2 1/2” to 4” in another case.

    I mean if you have alot of holes to do it;s better than a hole saw but at the price point I just can't see the value of it vs holesaws

    • @jarrettthejourneyman7196
      @jarrettthejourneyman7196  4 года назад

      Matt Newman hole saws work well, but you need something like this when you are punching holes in stainless steel. Thanks for watching.

      We have had a maxis punch set on our truck for the last 6 years gets used weekly on all commercial jobs not a single piece been replaced and that set was also 2k. Many many holes needed to be punched in panels and cabinets and troughs and hole saws just don’t cut it (pun maybe intended) saves time and headache

    • @colinnoelle3569

      Holesaws are shit. They constantly break and you run the risk of cutting shit holes.

    Hi Jarrett ~ Thanks for the great video, but I'd like to know what your max cutting capacity is? In other words, what's the thickest steel you've been able to cut through without putting the tool system at risk? Thanks again.

    • @jarrettthejourneyman7196
      @jarrettthejourneyman7196  3 года назад

      I maximize thickness I have done is 14 gauge and that was a mild steel. Thanks for asking.

    Just curious I found one of these sets in a camper I bought and it’s missing a couple thread pieces what would it be worth?

      It’s hard to say with out looking at its condition. I know a complete set with larger knockouts runs $1400.00.

      @@jarrettthejourneyman7196 I guess, one would be on the lookout for one in the second hand market for quite a while...I suppose if someone does installations all day long, the price is more than justified by the time saved. It is a very nice tool but it's not for everyone.

    Wow 2k plus to knock out a hole.. $20 for a hole saw that'll cut a hole with a bit of a burr.. I can't imagine how this could pay for its self

      @jarrettthejourneyman7196  5 лет назад +5

      You obviously have never punched out a 10 foot trough with 50+ holes at different sizes. It would take you all day and you’d burn through 5 or 6 hole saws where as this tool would get it done in an hour

    • @TR-ut3yh

      @@iSousa77 Amen to that. It would pay for itself in a few jobs.

      It all depends on the amount of time and application, saves alot of time and fatigue. Overall worth it forsure
