Thank god he never got his solo movie, given that we have way too much Batman content at this point. I generally don’t understand what’s with the praise of Batfleck. And that script that was supposedly the greatest Batman movie that could’ve been, I find that hard to believe.
If Affleck didn’t “nail everything” that Bruce Wayne is supposed to be, then Pattinson definitely didn’t “fix everything”- it’s just a question of taste, it’s subjective. I do think it's irresponsible for him not to get a bite with flash though unless he's scared of helping kids like he did robin, which still is dumb as he's an adult. This is batman and exploring how he would operate if he became jaded. It's just batman. Not a reinterpretation. It adds to the history of the character instead of creating a shorter history. And affleck plays him the best. Val Kilmer is the only other person besides David mazouz (and Kevin conroy although they assassinated his character in Crisis) to play the character from the comics but with added depth. I'm talking about Batman v Superman not really any of the other films including this one. Not that they're bad. But they have cringe moments. The tune in background is so perfect. It's one of the best scenes in my fav and specially this video. It's like a phrase left by Bruce not only for flash but for us as well.
That last line hurts so much with how Batfleck’s now basically been erased post Flashpoint. This version of Bruce with his specific experiences will never grab that bite with Barry

I have quite a lot of problems with this movie. But this…this right here…is my ideal version of Batman. Bruce Wayne is my all-time favorite fictional character, and I’ve always envisioned him this way: a sad, broken man trying to make the world a little less sad and lonely. A hero who knows his quest is futile, but presses on because he doesn’t know how to do anything else. A dark man who could easily be the villain if he wanted to be, but instead weaponizes that darkness against people who truly deserve it. And you know…I’ve always preferred it when he’s an older guy. RIP Batfleck, the Andrew Garfield of Batman. He’ll always be my favorite, even if the folks behind the scenes let him down time and again.
Affleck really got the melancholy of Bruce's existence right in this scene. Even with the people he cares about, like Barry, he's isolated and lonely and is aware of it. But he also knows its the only way for him to do what he does.

Regardless of what people may think about this film, you have to admit they wrote this scene really well, especially the last lines where Barry just wants to hang out with him.
Ok so not gonna lie if Affleckwas about 20 years younger, I'd have him be thrown into the new DCU, since he was whisped away from the DCEU continuity. This was the most Bruce Wayne moment I've ever seen in ANY live action movie. The fact that we were supposed see him and Joe Mag duke it out on screen is absolutely heartbreaking.
He genuinely was the best live action. He had the physicality, the Bruce Wayne charisma, the Batman grit hardness straight from the books of Miller. He was the best Batman and carried a very poor franchise of films (minus Josstice League lol, can’t say he carried that).

This is one thing I liked about the DCEU, Barry and Bruce had a good friendship. Even in real life behind the scenes, all Ezra's crazy crimes aside, Ben and Ezra both seemed to be good friends as well.👍
"Not this time, maybe some other time" God....I wonder how much potential with Ben's Batman was wasted. For the first time we had a guy who played both good, Batman and Bruce Wayne. He alone could put into screen the ferocity and frustration of and old and bitter Batman, but also through redemption a Batman full of faith like in ZSJL with moments of kindness like this one.
"Your tragedy made you a hero.." When that line comes up, I see him standing with the Justice League as he is brought to the light after all the darkness he's been through.

Ben Affleck has experienced difficulties in his life and has even been broken, falling down multiple times as a person. Seeing him in this state of Bruce Wayne made me very happy. He was a fantastic Batman with bad scenarios, Christian was a fantastic Bruce/Batman. However I still haven't warmed up to Rob Pat's version and I love watching Rob.
Unlike a lot of people, I actually did enjoy BvS and one of the main reasons was because of Affleck as Batman. He did great as the character. Already going to miss his version of the character, alongside Keaton's.

Watched almost all of Batman movies, not even a batman fan and despite Ben Affleck's hatred of his portrayal of the character, he still remains to be my favorite.
I remember watching this scene in the theatre and as someone who had recently gone through a very rough breakup, it had a profound impact on me...gonna miss Batfleck! Even in his very last scene for the DCEU, he gave me some great wisdom at the time when I needed it and quite frankly I still do almost 2 months later. Yeah I agree that Bale was great and Pattinson is doing a good job as well, but Batfleck just holds a special place in my heart like no other.
When I first watched this scene it really didn’t resonate me until viewing it again multiple times afterwards. Don’t let your past traumas define who you are, you have a whole life ahead of you. Focus on that.

Ok so not gonna lie if Affleckwas about 20 years younger, I'd have him be thrown into the new DCU, since he was whisped away from the DCEU continuity. This was the most Bruce Wayne moment I've ever seen in ANY live action movie. The fact that we were supposed see him and Joe Mag duke it out on screen is absolutely heartbreaking.
He genuinely was the best live action. He had the physicality, the Bruce Wayne charisma, the Batman grit hardness straight from the books of Miller. He was the best Batman and carried a very poor franchise of films (minus Josstice League lol, can’t say he carried that).

This is one thing I liked about the DCEU, Barry and Bruce had a good friendship. Even in real life behind the scenes, all Ezra's crazy crimes aside, Ben and Ezra both seemed to be good friends as well.👍
"Not this time, maybe some other time" God....I wonder how much potential with Ben's Batman was wasted. For the first time we had a guy who played both good, Batman and Bruce Wayne. He alone could put into screen the ferocity and frustration of and old and bitter Batman, but also through redemption a Batman full of faith like in ZSJL with moments of kindness like this one.

When that line comes up, I see him standing with the Justice League as he is brought to the light after all the darkness he's been through.

Ben Affleck has experienced difficulties in his life and has even been broken, falling down multiple times as a person. Seeing him in this state of Bruce Wayne made me very happy. He was a fantastic Batman with bad scenarios, Christian was a fantastic Bruce/Batman. However I still haven't warmed up to Rob Pat's version and I love watching Rob.

Unlike a lot of people, I actually did enjoy BvS and one of the main reasons was because of Affleck as Batman. He did great as the character. Already going to miss his version of the character, alongside Keaton's.

Watched almost all of Batman movies, not even a batman fan and despite Ben Affleck's hatred of his portrayal of the character, he still remains to be my favorite.
I remember watching this scene in the theatre and as someone who had recently gone through a very rough breakup, it had a profound impact on me...gonna miss Batfleck! Even in his very last scene for the DCEU, he gave me some great wisdom at the time when I needed it and quite frankly I still do almost 2 months later.
Yeah I agree that Bale was great and Pattinson is doing a good job as well, but Batfleck just holds a special place in my heart like no other.
