    Beautifully made down pipes and amazing built quality. Will follow MB thread on forum on these. I have custom made straight pipe and muffles only (I know Greta hates me lol) ... and it sounds loud, maybe I will buy some exhaust valves with remote control.
    Regarding Black boost intakes: many discussions about them and I still prefer the factory engine look with stock AMG boxes. My car pushes around 800 AWHP with stock intake boxes and drop in filters (K&N style) best 0-60 mph was 2.70 sec (1ft roll -2.49sec) again with factory intake boxes... So I don't know why people say "they restrict air" and pushing toward BB intakes... I believe it is a very good result for a 4420 lbs car.
    Congrats on your new down pipes and thank you for another great video (as always)!

      I've seen your vids sounds great.
      I've been wondering if there's anyway to make these sounds"different"?
      Many people do true duals or an h pipe. I wonder what an Xpipe would sound like?
      Either way, couple people are wondering why I sold my blacklist intake, yes there's a benefit, but it's not huge, and overall the fit was just not great and I didn't like having a trouble code

    from my understanding both the m278 and m157 have a lot of air intake restrictions, some people are putting spacers on the intake box and putting aftermarket filters, granted the cover wont sit properly
    but if you want get a 1" aluminum and bend it to become a spacer along with m10 machine screws and a nut and washer, after bending the aluminum HVAC tape the open end to not get any air leakes (or you can buy them online)

    If you want to retain the AMG tone but louder, try an H-pipe instead of the resonator. The resonator its self is an h-pipe but with some mute. I had replaced mine with straights on a bone stock car and was louder but the tone changed a bit.

    I have a question for you please. Do you think it is possible to mod the resonator like you did for the muffler ? open the box and
    use clamp inside or x-pipe inside. why doing that ? because of the control we have each 2 years here and it will looks stock. Thank you

    • @ExoticCarDIY
      @ExoticCarDIY  11 месяцев назад +1

      I think so, the only issue I see is there maybe less room for the bolts on the clamps to hide in the stock resonator case.
      Alternatively, you could cut a pipe in half length wise, and weld it over the holes to accomplish the same thing

      @@ExoticCarDIY Awesome, thank you very much, you are the boss lol. I have one spare resonator so i will open it without any risk. I will inform you if you are interested. Maybe you are more interested with the X-pipe...dunno... I've heard that the X-pipe could be the solution if you remove the catalyzers for the pollution checking control. hummm i don't know why from my side, it looks no sens

      @@tld-airgunsalafrancaise5965 I'm pretty picky when it comes to sound on cars, they have to send good, not just loud. Many of the h-pipe and true duals cars just sound like an old Dodge truck.
      Typically, an x-pipe smooths out the sound, and increases the pitch. Although, sometimes people say it makes it quieter. I think my plan is to do the x-pipe and then compensate the volume with downpipes and the muffler mod

    Thanks for sharing, an other great DIY video. One year ago, you made the muffler MOD (today i've made mines following all of your advices and i'm 100% satisfied ). You said also in this video that you will probably try to remove the resonator. You did it for a test ? today they are still installed, why this choice please ? i'm thinking to remove it but people are 50/50

    • @ExoticCarDIY
      @ExoticCarDIY  11 месяцев назад +1

      I've been going kind of slow and Progressive on the exhaust mods. But I'm trying to avoid is there are some videos I've seen of the E63 they make it sound like a old Dodge truck. Not sure what makes it do that, but I still want mine to sound like an AMG.
      On the silver car all I did was just the mufflers. On the red car, I've done 200 cell downpipes, I'm actually very happy with the downpipes
      Been a little busy to try anything else, but I actually think I might replace the resonator with an x-pipe in the future

    • @tld-airgunsalafrancaise5965

      @@ExoticCarDIY thanks you soi much for your explanation . I'm also progressing step by step like u . Yes it is hard to find someone who got both removed. Thanks for watching man, it is definitely possible to swap out the front clip however there's more differences than just the front. The body lines that go down The doors rear quarter and rear bumper are different as well. I'm not sure if it be as simple as swapping the hood, headlights, and fenders.
      I prefer the Elegance of the preface lift sometimes as well, but the all-wheel drive and the headlights definitely give the face lift the edge

    Deleting the catts wont add any real power, just like after market CAI's dont add but 3-4 hp and it takes a minimum 12-14 hp to make any percieved performance increaae. They shouldnt be called CAI's either because theres barely less than a 10°-13° temp drop with a better flowing filter while moving. When at a stand still, no change. Plus after testibg dozens of after market intakeson a variety of vehicles, if there are any bends or curves in air intake tubes, the bigger the bend/curve, the less airflow, thus more turbulant flow and drastic drop in any improvements. Any bend or curve over 45° and you will not get any improvements. Those more and higher degree angle of the bends/curves slows down airflow which we dont want. Its flow dynamics.
