I didn't see a single horse in this entire video. Nice work, Jay. :)
He said he had been watching you to much, and yet I never heard him say "crap" once. lol
@@Vonbek32 Oh, I'm sure he says it all the time while watching my videos.
Very nice. Great detail. Love the bits of humor 🚲....and your twin brother must have been a great help. 😎👍
Drew, I feel you’ve been a positive influence on Jay. I like dry humor Jay. You both have taught me so much! Thanks!
I think jay actually purchased his lumber instead of robbing his neighbors
You have the best channel! You include literally everything! I am 74 and just beginning to learn woodworking skills. Thank you ever so much!
"A .37hp Bearkat with an off-grid calorie burning powerplant"
You legend 🤙😂🤣
Nice design! Quick tip for the end clamp at about 9:29. Put a nut on the bolt before cutting the head off. When you take the nut off, it'll fix the threads that might have been damaged from the cut.
BD; A golden Oldie.
"...with an off-grid calorie burning power plant." Beautiful. 0:58 in, and I'm smashing the Subscribe Button!
This is genius. I was about to attemp a Moravian workbench because it knocks down-I have very little shop space-but this is most of that functionality in a tiny form factor. And its cheap, so I could use this a while and decide later if an upgrade is really needed or not.
Hah! You were in a good mood while narrating this - kept me laughing! Cheers
I haven't watched one of your videos in awhile, but I always appreciate your building skills, narrative ability and sense of humor. Great job.
Jjjgu
agreed . . .
Das ist - für mich und meine beengten Verhältnisse - eine sehr gute Idee. Danke!
Been watching you since your apartment shop, and you've been a great inspiration for me to get making something, whether it be simple or detailed. Enjoy your down-to-earth personality.
Thanks for sharing. I learn so much from watching your videos, and enjoy the way you describe your thinking process. I was going to build myself a new workbench but have now changed my mind and want to do something like this. I like the portable aspect of what you've made and yet still get the stability and clamping options as a normal workbench.
Loved the shout out to Drew--Fisher Shop is one of my favorite comedy channels on RUclips...and I learn a bit about woodworking and see some cool projects in the process of being entertained.
Great designs, Jay. I was thinking they appear to be quite light, but you addressed that. Something like this would be a great option for a small garage woodworker like myself.
If you angle the legs in like a Moravian workbench it will help greatly with the walking.
Great presentation & wonderful sense of humour.
I love the commentary and tool description!! You are my hero! Thanks for a great video - as always.
Love your humor. Learned a lot because of that.
First time watcher of one of your videos and that clone in your glue up tripped me out. Anyways, this is exactly what I need. Workbench functionality without the size. Not able to dedicate my entire garage to my hobbies since I'm not the only person that makes decisions in my house. Btw, I enjoy your humor...off-grid, calorie burning, work plant. Keep it up and take care.
I like your usage of words. Thanks.
This has to be one of the most timely projects I've ever run into. I was just trying to sketch out something similar to your traditional work horse for my very crowded garage workshop. Now I can refrain from burning my brain cells and defer to your well conceived design. Thank you my friend!! Cheers, dave
Oddly, the very situation has just happened for me! Not seen this channel before, but have just sat down to draft a plan for my own crowded garage workshop.
So-ooo many good ideas that I can use!
Looks great. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
My shop is a 10x12 foot shed; most of my actual work happens out in my yard, so I really like this idea.
Beautiful project 👍🖐️🖐️
Fisher! This dood is just making wood parts and dust, Where da horses? Seriously Jay, I love watching you work. It's like watching myself =)
Very cool. All the professional tools in that shop are somewhat intimidating to newbie
So nice to hear the witty humor with well spoken diction to boot. Very nice project as well. Extremely well thought out holding options!
This is a great idea! I lost my ability to use my shop last year, and need to start small to get things going again. This is simple and yet really functional, allowing for a lot of the tasks that I use as a moderately experienced wood worker.
Awesome!! I built the matchfit version and it was the best decision ever :) will probably build this traditional version also :) regards from Portugal!
Muchas gracias por compartir este gran proyecto, muy útil para personas que tenemos poco presupuesto, saludos.
Awesome project. Happy to see a new video from you
Overdrive bits are Fin awesome.

GANZ LIEBEN GRÜSSEN.~Sara~
Love your approach. Professional and informative and the humor doesn't hurt one bit.
Clamping style explenations were really helpfull. Changed my mind about the twin screw vice.
Fantastic!
Great too see another video Jay I've really enjoyed your style and sense of humor. Even some of your home improvement videos I've watched and enjoyed so please keep up the good work and the vids. Thanks
I love it especially the vise
What a useful, creative, and beautiful piece Jay!
Amazing build that is incredible versatile. It just dawned on me, and it might be an easy upgrade that is not in the way when you don't need it and i'm far to inexperienced to just do it so i'll share it for you instead. On all four legs, cut a foot in length of the same material as the legs are, but make them slideable and be able to rotate them so they stick out flat on the floor. When you don't need them, just flip them up and fasten with a hook or similar. That yould give the table the support it needs in that direction, only when you need it. Fast and easy to fold and unfold. And from what i can see, they would not be in the way when unused either. Think of them as foldable stabilisers. Thanks for the video.
Love the workshop, small piece of heaven!
Excellent small bench for my limited space shop! Excellent.
Excellent narration, thank you
Good video, I like the traditional bench.
“Too many Drew Fisher videos “🤣🤣 you can never watch too many of those. Nice project, excellent video!
Brilliant!!
Excellent !
Beautiful
I'm lovin' self-deprecating sassy Jay 👍
You got me in the first 15 seconds...... Squat rack, bench press and wood working shop in one. Well done.
Great video Jay . The double J never gets old. and yes Drew Fischer video are very entertaining as they are inspiring.
Nice. you do great work
This is amazing, I even like the idea of having this just as a bench top system for smaller workshops. Thanks Jay 🍻⚓
.??? ?
Definitely need to build myself one now! Around 18:00, I think I would want to add a middle row of dog-holes and use a two dogs on one side with the clamp on the other in the middle set of holes to provide 3 stable points of contact.
I like this presentation! Great vid! Semper Fi
Thanks for videos
I love your videos, very clear instructions and the products you produce are awesome. Thank you.
Awesome Jay! I love them both great work brother. I am just starting my wood working shop. I have really limited space and that would be a great addition. Keep up the great work
The tip about the cork rubber is great, i have some to install in my bench vise and i will wait to see how it does with just one side.
Nice idea,beautiful work....
Really nice! A workhorse like this might be just the thing for certain folks I know. Have to think about that.
Hey, these are both really cool! I just received my Microjig dovetail router bit recently so a building I will go! The traditional workhorse does seem a bit more beefy. Nice job!
1:48 had me howling. Just brilliant
Damn you are a funny saw horse mate!
Must try this
I have never before hit "Subscribe" on a woodworking channel 90 seconds into the first video I watched. Your commentary delivery alone is worth the sub.
Good design, well executed. Excellent video. Thank you.
Great work!
Outstanding job! Thank you for a great video!
I love that the board in the vise looks like an optical illusion at 12:10.
Ooohh... 12:14 is an Escheresque optical illusion. 😄 It looks like that board is clamped in the vise at the front of the horse, but behind the shelf at the bottom of the horse.
Yes, I was just going to mention that, but you obviously beat me to it. It took me a while to get it straightened out in my head.
Fantastic stuff.
5 seconds in and already love it 😂
very nice. thank you. be happ. bravo.. see you...
Great idea for beginners!
Have hold fast and never saw them leather boots to protect the surface.
Great DIY Sir
Excellent, thank you
This is a nice design Jay! Another youtuber (think It was Wortheffort) pointed out that any bench that is lacking mass can be fastened to a large sheet of plywood/OSB - your weight then standing on the plywood is more than enough to keep it from walking around on you!
Muchas felicidades por tu trabajo saludos de México
Great video =)
At 12:01, it looks like you've made an MC Escher Workbench. The board in the front vise looks like it is disappearing behind the lower support stretcher. Fun little illusion you made there.
Jay loves hhis editing tricks :)
Hey Jay! It was great to meet you the other day! Thank you again for the great looking signs! They are in the process of being painted. We'll send you a picture of them when they're finished. Or, you can see them if you make it out to the shop next week. I love this bench, functional and beautiful to boot!
Great to meet you as well. Y'all are welcome any time. See ya soon.
You're genius guy
Nice job! It did my heart good to see you lock the nuts on the 3/4” all thread! I see so many of the Moxon vises built with the threaded rods permanently sticking out several inches beyond the vise jaw!
Nice piece of work. Thanks for sharing.
Dude. The humor is great. Thanks for the video.
good very good
Buenisimo ese banco muchas graciassssss
Love the humour😊. I made version of your match fit, but as a Bench... Giving you the credit you deserve. This version is also great. I love the way you have made the vice.
Good sense of humor. Less than 10% humidity. Where do I sign up for a horse? or a donkey...
Love it, may have to build both
thanx4post
Top tip. A layer of cork or vinyl added to the bottom of the legs makes a small bench like this much more stable to work on. The added friction helps to prevent the bench from skating off across the workshop floor, reducing the need for sandbags.
Another thought. If you still need extra weight, go make friends with whoever is in charge of your local dump/recycling center. Ask them to keep an eye out for weightlifting weights - not the cast iron ones, they are easily recycled, but the cheapo plaster filled plastic ones that usually end up in landfill. I've done this in the past & ended up with 50kg+ of weights for free. Better for the environment too...
so this work horse can be disassembled into four components and stored away or transported? A knock down so to speak. that is awesome. I'm inspired to build one for my son. thanks for the video.
Hilarious commentary in the video, great work!😆
Very nice thanks!
I would drill through the handles and all thread once together and add a roll pin for mechanical lock that can still be removed.
Beautiful build Jay, sturdy, heavy, high quality and precision, well explained also. New sub.
Love your videos, content and humor! Good work man!
Nice💪😎
That is awesome! It is on my To Do list now!
I like the added planing stops!
