Holy tip: you can avoid Nihil damage by using Ash of War: Vow of the Indomitable on your shield.
edit: after 10 months I tested it again and it didnt work. Guess they fixed this pretty quickly :(

Honestly, this was the boss I was waiting for. He does so much AoE in his second phase that I imagined it would be the hardest to do hitless.

There is a way to nullify almost all the damage, and that is the bubble tear. It takes The two first hits and then The third takes about 10% dmg

@@kokofast1 i said almost impossible because it is possible to kill him before he gets nihil off. you can melt him down with the comet azur combo before he can channel the three rings around you.
Just want to say, awesome battle as always. Btw Ongbal,you dont had to be pressured battling the boss everyday for us. You just had to flex your godly skill like the true Elden Shura Lord you are.
Those extra attacks after he died... I felt that. Must have been an especially challenging one considering one misstep in phase 2 and you die to lava, + losing a physick slot

@@bscutajar you forfeit a slot for the purifying blood tear which blocks nihil, and after the transition it's basically useless

Besides the "Nihil", Mohg has to be one of the most challenging but fair bosses in this game and is one of my favorites for sure. This is a challenge I would actually consider doing just for fun.
Besides the unavoidable attack that will kill most players instantly... it is "fair."

@@Ghostzyy him spitting fire all over the place that staggers you as soon as you touch it is so unfair because even though you roll to dodge the actual attack, you will still get hit and staggered by his diarrhea fire

Out of all of the fights you've done, this is the one I was most curious about. I was thinking his aoe flame/blood damage be leaves all over the floor would make this boss near impossible (besides the nil damage) to do hitless. But damn you proved me wrong. AGAIN!

it took me like 5 minutes at level 130
lvl 120, dual katanas and I almost killed him before he went to 2nd phase. the fight itself took less than 2 mins. this guy is very good to stack bleed on.
Me struggling at lvl 80 thinking that he is not so late game boss 🤡
Took me 3 tries because i tried outlive the blood circle thing he does.
Comet azur 2 tries 2nd one took 20 seconds
The most important strategy I learned from this video is that 95% of your roll dodges are to the right and that you can stay close to this boss...great job, thanks!
This is a tip that works on a lot of (humanoid) bosses actually ! Because bosses are right handed, dodging to their left (your right) is advised to avoid a combo extender.

You know, I'm starting to feel like I can't say anything else than "Well done Ongbal", because you are so consistent at no hits. Really impressive as always :)
I see you use the Cold Club a lot. Is the extra damage induced by the frost effect really interesting compared to the blood loss of a Bleeding Club (if such thing exists) ? If I'm not mistaken, the frost effect lasts over time, and so you need it to be completely gone before being able to reapply it, while blood loss is immediate and the boss just gets an increased resistance to bleed afterwards so you don't proc it over and over. Considering you keep hitting the boss, the blood bar should fill rather quickly.
Frostbite also reduces damage absorbtion by 20%.
I think the reason he choose frost over bleed maybe because he use strike weapon and focusing on using charge attack and jump attack with deal high damage and high poise damage in order to deal as much as damage as possible per 1 swing. So when frost effect kick off(even just one time), that period he going to deal even more damage. Imo, if he use other fast weapon like katana and focusing on spamming light attack then bleed might be better.
@@sirapopsriaumpai8178 Frost build up is higher at lvl 1 as well, 105 vs 83 for bleed most of the time on max lvl weapons.

@@mavvynne444 He actually sets up red feathered branchsword so that it procs after nihil. Pretty smart play on his part.
@@mavvynne444 what he meant was that there's a tear for the flask that can negate Mohg's nihil attacks. Basically rendering you immune to that spell but not immune to other attacks
You actually don't have to dodge for either of the two attacks (explosion and swing) if you circle around to the right slowly. The attack at 1:43

Dude you have taught me well of dodge timing. Ever since I started watching your vids I have started to kill bosses without being touched. I'm no lvl 1 wretch boss killer ..but I'm definitely beginning to make them look stupid when they whiff

The only reason I was able to kill mohg was because of bloodhound step spam in his second phase, it convinced me that a no hit run was simply impossible (aoe bs), until now

Do you know about the mist raven Ash of War ? Grants slightly less I frames than Bloodhound step but allows you to perform a strong jump attack instantly after

@@djriqky9581 Raptor of the mists is a ash of war that works exactly like mist raven from sekiro. Do the yura questline, you will get the ash of war. He can be first found in limgrave near the murkwater cave. Just follow the path down the river from the cave. Also you need to complete his questline for getting the purifying crystal tear used in this video to negate nihil otherwise this boss is a major pain in the ass for anyone below lvl 120-130.

boss change move sets depending on distance, Mohg specifically has really fuck ass annoying mid to long range moves while pretty easy to dodge close range moves, so despite his scary goat face and giant ass trident ya gotta get all up in that and never leave his ass for longer than 3 seconds
I have a panic attack after watching Ongbal's HP got nihil 3 times + avoid fire on the ground.

Have you tried purifying crystal tear and indomitable vow? Since it doesn’t stagger you might be able to avoid the damage with the true invulnerability
As far as i know he was using the crystal tear you were talking about
You still take a little damage from nihil even with that, he’s using it
@@sauce8767 He's talking about the one Ash for the shield called Vow of the indomitable, that completely makes you IMMUNE to any damage in the game, including Nihl to my knowledge

When I fought Mohg in NG + 1, I killed him before he started his Nihil-attack. It's crazy how much easier NG+ is.
I’ve wanted to do a play through similar to this. Not a level 1 play through, but one where the only equipment I’m allowed to use is the equipment that the class starts with.
This boss is so goddamn hard, always misses a dodge because of the weird timing of his attacks. Thank you Ongbal, I will learn from this video to beat him.
When we gonna see some flashy stuf and cinematic fights, as allways i enjoy this too but the cinematic clips of you styling on a boss is the best content of yours i would say. Like with sekiro doin some awesome combos and using warious items to bully the boss, nobody was near your lvl in that stuff, yea the speedrunners and like no hit runs are impressive but they are less entertaining.

There's a stone that stucks Mogh in place for a few seconds, it can cancel the nihil animation too, but im sure someone already said that before

In DS3 when your frost buildup procs there is a cooldown period before the next frost buildup starts, and you can use something like offhand fire dagger to quickly apply fire blight and reset frost cooldown. Does that work in Elden Ring?

I'm currently stuck on this boss. his phase 2 just murders me. I was curious to see how you deal with all his AOE crap, but he barely really got around to it. I guess being a gaming god has its benefits. His delayed hits mess me up.. and his downward spike with the spear also hits me like 99% of the time, the windup just seems to short

AMAZING! I just beat this boss and it was ffucking hell. But it feels soo good.
This is my favorite fight in the game. The whole time I was wondering if there's any way to get to the red pantheon in the siofra sky and I realized I was finally there! Not a big fan of the voice acting though I think they should've tuned down and distorted his voice to sound more twisted and demonic
