Plus being good at a game is a skill, not a talent like everyone tend to perceive, so you can still slowly learn bits of game mechanics at a time to get better at it.

This is Pewd's best video by a long shot. It's so well done, well edited and put together, and an amazing accomplishment for someone who isn't known for playing these games exclusively. I come back to watch this every month it seems, I just love the regular commentary from Pewds, he's actually really good at commentating game play and explaining mechanics. I know he just announced that he's taking a break from RUclips, but I really hope he continues to do this style of video.

Ive been watching pewdiepie since his first slenderman videos and happy wheels, man this video gave me such an big nastalgic kick. I love when he is actually serius and speaks to us like adults. Know how when you die your runes are dropped and you can pick them back up? Gustoc takes a percentage of those dropped runes every time you die within the castle before killing godrick so when you pick them back up that percentage is missing. When you take the secret passage he’s also the one who locks you in the room with the knight guy and as a cool Easter egg you can actually see him tailing you from the shadows when exploring certain areas of the castle. He is important for a certain optional quest line but if you’ve already done it or don’t care it’s really better to just kill him. If you kill him and then take the secret passage you won’t get locked in with the knight

At the end during his last run the way he was extremely locked in, I can relate it so much. I remember my battle with Morgott, I was literally tired of dying a lot, and then all of a sudden I just became berserk and just killed him without making more mistakes. I was dominating him so much.

Say what you will about the zero-death meme being ironic, but he actually put a lotta time and effort into this. He did autistic amounts of research and planning and then executed everything perfectly. Sure, he used some cheap tricks, but he beat the game without dying in less than 3 hours to top it off. He also didn't even use summons or some of the other far more op abilities/weapons that the devs were practically intending for players to use on certain bosses in the first place.

@@KillettRyan Theres an item that you get at the start of the game which lets you return to the last visited site of grace, but you lose all your runes, so he prolly used that but we know he didnt die to morgott because we would see his runes in the arena

I’m bit late when it comes to Elden ring since I just got it for Christmas but everytime I’m stuck I just come back to this video and jacks play-through. It’s insane how I’ve still been watching for 12 years
Update: After commenting this I got stuck on mohg and took a break 😭 and now came back to it and now I’m on radagon and I’m still using jacks and pewds playthrough to see what’s good

I feel the same way! Haven't watched in years but have been playing Elden Ring myself. I remember him dying to the skeletons right outside the Undead Burg in Dark Souls so I figured this video would've been a joke, but I found this totally impressive and really made me reconsider him as a gamer!! This was so good!

Nah dont even stress about the "cheese" strats. Especially the sleep arrows, it is an item included in the game, working exactly as intented. (at least it seems like there is no bug or w/e) This was an insane run and the video was very enjoyable and easy to watch, even tho it was 50 min. Absolutely well played, thanks for the journey.
