Build Description
RL 1
15 VIG, 10 MIN, 15 END, 15 STR, 15 DEX, 10 INT, 10 FAI, 10 ARC
Right Hand: Spiked Club
Left Hand: Red Thorn Roundshield (Carian Retaliation)
Talismans: Radagon's Soreseal, Axe Talisman, Blue Dancer Charm, Red-Feathered Branchsword
Physick: Spiked Cracked Tear, Strength-knot Crystal Tear
This was a work of art. Never realized you could do that to his Blood Rain attack.
Imagine wanting to be a king and heaving ur dreams shattered by a L1 Chick in a bikini with a club and wooden shield
Thank you for sharing this. I copied your build and strategy for my rl1+0, and I finally got him!!! The only difference is that I used the twinbird Kite shield
Congrats! This was one of the hardest ones for me personally. I am glad you got it! Huge gg!
@thedtvcop thank you!!! His moveset isn't really too hard to dodge. It's just all the bloodflame he trails around in phase 2. But yes he gave me a ton of trouble too
When he does the fireball in his hand followed by the sweep, you can just circle him to his right to avoid the fireball, then the sweep will go over your head. You can get in 2 charge attacks doing it like that. Good fight bro
The OP's way is more reliable since going all the way to the right can cause him to adjust his angle before he swing or you simply go too far so it hits you with the beginning of the swing. This method the vid is showing is more reliable since you correct the angle first so the problem from above never happen.
Then just don't go fully right, you don't even have to sprint for it. Both methods are fully consistent but the one shown requires more work and has a lesser punish than the other
I just did him on RL1 with upgrades and looked for a source of humility. Awesome kill, thanks!
i did 0+ with a pickaxe at rl120, now im rl35 with a 0+ bastard sword, i need to achive your perfection
You got this
parrying liquid is next level stuff
Wow I thought I was cool for beating him with no armor and no summons. Good shit though
Nah, you're still pretty cool for that
It's impressive that he always knows whether it is safe to dodge backwards for the phase 2 flying blood throw. I always dodge straight into some off-camera fire puddle.
Holy moly, that was intense. Amazing!
Bro you're amazing. This boss took me 15hrs (without spell and physic flusk)
Also insanely impressive
twinbird kite shield would be helpful, raises attack power by 5%, stacks Red-Feathered Branchsword and you can put carian retaliation ash of war
Wtf carian retaliation works 😭😭😭😭
you DID beat the game
@thedtvcop So I figured it was going to be an impressive no hit boss fight with the red-feathered branchsword talisman active, but then I saw carian retaliation on your shield and was like: "Wait, you can carian retaliate Mohg?" My mind was blown when you carian retaliated the blood rain, then again when you survived Nihil without the physick tear. Mohg showed up to play checkers, and you brought out the damn chessboard on him. A-mazing.
Nihil's damage is percentage based (pretty sure it's about 40%-45% for each one), the more HP you have, the more damage it deals.
from full health, even without the physick tear, you can always survive 2 of them.
then if you're healed up before the 3rd, you can survive that too
and of course, lower max health means that just 1 use of the flask ends up doing more percentage healing (allowing you to get to full HP from just 1 use)
kind of a masterpiece, congrats!
3:46 does he always do this if you position yourself correctly? Seems like the best way to close in when he forces you out to avoid fire
He usually does this for me, but not always, though perhaps there is correct positioning to bait that attack every time. Whenever I dodge his flying attack by going past him, my main concern is being far enough to avoid any memes with the fire and one of his melee swings in particular. I did not think of it before, but if you can consistently bait that attack it would be nice, since being farther out seems to bait the spear charge or blood throws.
Congratulations on patience, coordination and speed :)
Well done, from one eldenchad to another!
Well done. I'm stuck at Mohg on my RL1 +0
Literally remembered all his moves set.
What a madman
Any reason in particular for not two handing ? Carian Retaliation is exclusively for the shower move, and it's slow enough to switch to 1H isn't it ?
Awesome vid by the way!
Hey man are you returning for Shadow of the Erdtree? You were like the best lol. I need to ask is there any sort of site you use for a guide on the enemy movesets? Besides the wiki of course
I don't think I've ever had my character fall through the floor like that. In any of the souls games. I wonder why that happens.
thank you so much for giving me hope haha
Legend
Rickety Shield is the lightest in the game, would be slightly better for blue dancer with no downside in this case
Hi so how did you increase your damage to so high(even it still takes so much time, but I guess it's already high for +0); how much possible you think to do such run with +25 weapon, will it be much faster?
And how do I bring a lvl 1 char to here?
What does RL 1 mean, and +0 I guess means no leveling right? Thanks.
RL1+0 is Rune Level 1 (no character levels, starting class wretch) with +0 weapons (no blacksmith upgrades). The damage is decent still thanks to good talisman setup and physick buff. Radagon's Soreseal adds damage through str/dex contributing to scaling, Axe Talisman boosts damage on charged heavy attacks, Blue Dancer Charm boosts damage with lower weight %, and Red-Feathered Branchsword gives damage boost while below 20% health. The physick mix is spiked cracked tear and strength-knot crystal tear, which boosts charged heavy attack damage and strength (both last 3 minutes). With a +25/+10 weapon, the difference in damage is like day and night, even at level 1. You can easily skip nihil and the entire second phase with decent upgrades.
@@thedtvcop Thanks for the details! If I start with Confessor is it still RL1? Or RL 10? As Confessor starts with lvl 10.
Considering +25 weapon as I don't want to make the vid too long; your effort is respectful indeed. If using +25 I will not use other buffs.
@@DD_Quack Confessor start is RL10. A no leveling playthrough will feel the same regardless of RL1 or RL10 though, so no worries there. There are many players much better than me that prefer +25/+10 but with no leveling and no buffs for their own fights.
@@thedtvcop Thanks! Your explanation is very clear and I now understand.
@@DD_Quack Glad I could help!
Actual god gamer
Thank You
yeah, Miquella's ours !
you're actually so cool
Hi. Great fight. I wanted to ask, which is needed to get the soul arrow thing that you shoot at Mohg? I appreciate any information. Thank you very much
Thank you! That is the Carian Retaliation Ash of War, which is purchased from Pidia in Caria Manor. It is a parry ash of war that can also parry spells, such as Mohg's blood spells, which gives the damaging glintblades.
@@thedtvcop Thank you so much!!!
So im really about to waste my time trying to no hit him and not succeed uh
