Play to the mechanics, they want to have fun they want the action cyberpunk has. Let them fuck up a job and have to make back a serious amount of money. Also watch some movies about heists or crime for inspiration. Or for that matter let them become hated by a certain part of the world, let them feel like black sheep.
To understand this you gotta understand the inspiration for this story, gnostic themes (same as the matrix and blade runner, its the cyberpunk genres favorite religion) and the idea of the cult of saturn.
@@relaxedswede I think the cyberpunk genre as a whole along with the matrix movie leans the most heavily on gnostic cosmology and kabbalistic tarot imagery, which Buddhism basically is the same in principle although the practice and vibe is different. That could explain why the monks dont behave completely like monks
