Had a Nvidia Shield for nearly 10 years and it was the best £180 I've spent. It's saved me buying numerous boxes that all would of failed and I'd seriously recommend it to everyone! You won't be disappointed. Your Welcome! 👍

ITVX is available for the following consoles: Shield, XBOX, XBOX ONE, XBOX S and XBOX X.
Although ITVX is a bit pointless when all the 'only available on ITVX" is available a cpl months later, plus FREELY will be launched soon that will have apps for the above console, Android, apple and Roku but not FireTV.
Nvidia shield sounds good if you only need 1 or 2. I got 5 fire sticks to replace. I am not shelling out 1000-1500 just to say i have the best android box. they just get used for tv watching anyway. i already have an ONN and never had a problem with it. if the firesticks no longer allow me to watch tv the same way, ONN it is

I just bought an ONN which is cheap and its way better then the fire stick. The fire stick is so slow along with how the internet works

@cwtek1 YES I HVE THE NEW WALMART ONN GOOGLE TV STREAMING DEVICE IVE HAD IT FOR A WHILE NOW WORKS GREAT FOR 20 DOLLARS LOVE IT JUST AS MUCH AS MY FIRESTICKS
I have 2 t95q android boxes streaming flawlessly for 7 years running android 8. Also 2 onn tv boxes one new and one older streaming flawlessly

I just bought an onn box for 20 bucks to test it out. Passed with flying colors. When amazon makes the fire sticks useless to me, onn has a good cheap alternative.
I hope they bring one out officially in the UK to support our TV apps.

The only reason the Shield exists is because of the Nintendo Switch, it is the same SoC that the Nintendo switch uses. Nvidia won’t develop a new SoC Just for the shield, the shield was a side project that was developed to provide a cloud streaming platform for GeForce Now, game streaming etc.
Nvidia has abandoned the game streaming service now because it wasn’t profitable and now Microsoft and Xbox are doing game streaming they have thrown in the towel.
So I honestly can’t see NVIDIA making a new shield unless they have left over chips from a new Nintendo Switch console that meets the requirements to be a suitable chip for an Android TV box.
You said that the ONN is not suitable for the UK, but is it safe for the USA? I have used one for several months without any (apparent) problems.
Yes ok to use in the US, but if you want some UK focused apps then not so good.
Onn is a Walmart brand, just like Equate.
Doesn't a VPN take care of the UK apps not working?
Good Advise and walkthrough I started with one but I've now gone Quality. 👍👍👍👍👍 I also tested onn and got rid.

Yup, the Onn TV Box is seriously underpowered to be an adequate emulation device and Google has removed the ability to access external storage, but at only $20 USD it’s a good streaming alternative.
@@NoName-zm1ks External storage can be added with an otg block connector far better than otg cable. As more direct block has male connector to device then female power cable in and then USB in end of block
I gave up with these all these types of Android boxes years ago and went down the Nvidia Shield and I've never looked back I have a 2017 & 2019 TV Pro models.

The first generation onn 4K box updated to Android TV 12 should check that out still a great box

I have never had a issue with a android box yet I have had quite alot of issue with a firestick
My firestick has been pretty reliable!
I started of with a cheap android box and then upgraded it to a better one which is now used as an emulation machine using emuelec. I bought an nvidia shield tube version a few years back for £70 and also picked up one of the older shield models for £40 which was a lucky bargain. I'd never even consider a firestick to be honest.

@@cwtek1 yeah the tube was a local chap who had it as a test unit from Nvidia and the other one was local ish so had to get it for that price which came with the remote and controller.
Mecool boxes are great. Tested and no malware. Fire devices are trash and can't wait till they change their OS to Vega and they sit on the shelves and get dusty.
Good advice. My cousin actually bought a T95Z box recently. Is there any way the malware can be eliminated by use of some protection or anti-virus measure? What would you advise?
I am afraid the malware that was installed at the factory cannot be removed as far as I know.
Firesticks are pure garbage, a $10 android box would perform better than a firestick
Channel 4 player is a problem for me. How can I get it for my 4K ONN and or Mecool KS2 deluxe?
As I said in the video at the moment you can’t as far as I am aware.

I speed up all my streaming devices by using developer options then change 3 animations windows including onn tv box and chromecast with Google TV

Tbh chris whilst I agree I wouldn't really buy another amazon device period now they are changing to there new operating system they have done it for me I just hope there sales take a massive nosedive good video tho bud

I am In the UK anyway so wouldn’t need a VPN for UK stuff.
pretty sure buffering is a result of internet speed in combo with cpu of device. As an example i might get buffer on my firestick but on same exact site on my laptop I get no buffer as my laptop is a spec MONSTER compared to my firestick.
This is all correct yet ? And if it is I have heard than Kinhank sticks have cpu strenght far stroner than firestick
Also the Wifi on a Firestick is not as sensitive as a Laptop.

DEFINITELY get an Onn 4K Pro and the Kinhank over the Firestick
The Tanggula elite max pro stop working all the apps on there don’t work and the vSee box stopped working stay away from these boxes because they’re expensive and when they stop working, you’re screwed
I have had android box over the years good and bad one but never had updates so I start buying Amazon stuff so I have two fire cubes one in front room one in bedroom and fire stick in sons room they all fantastic but but once update stop that me finishing with Amazon stuff ,nvidia shield all the way hope they give regular updates 🤞
Lets hope they update the Shield soon, its long overdue.
You didn't mention Rokustick which is a good stick
Roku's are good but not as flexible as the Android boxes as you cannot side load on them.
Am sticking with the Firestick for the foreseeable future, have just bought the new 16Gb stick. When I do change I will buy Nvidia. 👍
Hopefully the current sticks will still be perfectly usable for many years to come!

Best cheap alternative to a firestick is the Chromecast with google tv! Might be better honestly

I have the old ones.7.1.2 boxes. Seems ok. The new ones like u mentioned,maybe shit. I love the older boxes,than the 11 to 13. I own 6 7.1.2 and never have issues,really. I'm in canada

all bullshit! there is supposed to have malware which doesn't do anything, and the developer who supposedly put a malware CAN do anything him want (probably coffee too). 2nd, Just buy a certified box, like Mecool, G1 or Xiaomi and change it to UK region in settings. I can't even comment about plug, this is the most stupid argument.
Scary stuff!!! I'm scared so bad I don't think I will be able to watch any android box without my house blowing up!!! This is a bunch of bullshit. Maybe will it will give you the shits as well!. Have The T95 The Nivida Shield The Fire Stick 8k End Of The Day No Good Unless Your VPN'd Up
I am in the UK so don't need a VPN, but still cannot get some apps to work as they are only licenced on UK devices.

Unfortunately info on here regarding Nvidia Shield is slightly incorrect as Channel 4 is not in Shield Google Playstore and is unsupported on Nvidia shield.

I can tell you from experience. Do not buy an android box with low specs. If you do of course your going to be disappointed. My android boxes start at least 4 gig ram and 64 gig hard drive.

HI i have G7 Max Box Much the Same NO BBC IPlayer ,ITVX, but both 4 & MY5 are ok From US Sling,Roku Ch Do not Work but its great box can watch uk app via my Lg Tv

Channel 4 plays on firestick only channel never did a Google TV version only mobile and its rubbish

The 1st Gen ONN Android TV Box 4K is the replacement for Fire TV Stick 4K it's fairly fast. The 2nd Gen ONN Google TV Box 4K sucks, always freezes & sluggish, it's trash.
I have found mine to be pretty good so far.
