Blast from the past, I used to live in Powmill.
Hi,,,am from phillipines god bless you all....
You should def. do it both ways around to even out wear on the tyres 😊
In 2006, I did an Anticlockwise tour of Scotland starting in co Durham and going up the east coast, along the top and back down the west coast before going round the Isle of Skye. I did a lot of zig zagging along the way going inland to various places such as Tomintoul, Avimore, Applecross as well as numerous other places and used campsites all the way with the only exception being 1 night in the hotel at John O Groats. My base layers etc were washed in the on suite facilities and dried on the radiators in the room. I covered around 1400 miles in 9 days with a 2 day stop at one campsite because of torrential rain . One of the best times I had on my 650 Bandit. Who needs to go touring abroad on a motorbike when Scotland can give you so much, providing of course, the weather is kind to you.
The borders can be pretty spectacular as well
Busting to get to Scotland on my bike. Luckily I got Welsh countryside on my doorstep. That road around 16min mark bit of me that 😎
Glen Cafe was looking fine - always a nice stop off - nice little vid series bruce as always - some good memories from our own west coast trip in 2021
Loved that Bruce - particularly like the sound of your ol' tractor when you opened her up on the twisties at five and a half minutes in.....lovely! Roll on some sunshine eh!
Cheers Andy! Aye I do miss that Jekill and Hyde exhaust 🥺👍
Great vids brother! Enjoyed em!!
Cracking footage there and I'm definitely going to sample they roads, the Kilder Forest is now on my " to do" list, cheers Bruce❤
👍 Great video
Quality series Bruce, I loved all of it. Like you said, they sell quickly, very quickly 😅 one day I will have to do this, excellent keep up the great work, well someone has too 😂take care, stay safe 🏍👍
Brilliant love the banter you lads have, miss that not working now. I do think you are spoiling the guys with that last Hotel though😂😂.
Having been part of the 2023 Scotland tour - totally awesome. It is a riding tour not a sight seeing tour but you can ride at your pace and it you fancy pushing yourself then there's always the crew at the front to ride with.
Will I be doing this again - hell yes, booked up for 2024.
Make sure your tires are good, a comfy seat and look forward to the best riding out there.
[Bruce didn't pay me to write this]
How much did he not pay you?😂😂😂
All joking aside, looked like a blast, hopefully as good or better next time round❤🏴
Ha Ha thanks bud - cheque’s in the post 🤫😉
Awesome
Loved to see that you went to kielder then down the A68 to the last hotel stop. Hope you enjoyed the blind crests on the A68
Wow that last hotel!!!
Great watching what time of year was this trip. Heading up there beginning of June this year. Fingers crossed the Weather is kind too us.
Would love to join you on one of these one day Bruce. When I can finally get some time off and a bike that doesn't look like a plod bike (RT-P with high vis markings for events)
Hey loved this episode probably cause ya stopped for lunch doon the road from me lol true on not much in central belt either road wise but the forth and Carnwath to bigger couple nice stretches and St marys loch is a great road to ride too.
You know that bikes got 6 gears🤣
Good series👍
Fantastic series Bruce, loved it. We did NC500 3 times now, going to WAW after TT and then back to Scotland again, never tire of NC500. We met you at Peel during TT in the ice cream queue :D
I thoroughly enjoyed this series TP1. And best of all these roads don't necessitate a 4 day ride to get there, don't involve an overnight ferry, don't involve catching a plane with all the issues of taking kit, and you don't need to visit a money exchange. I'm off to Muir of Ord in June for a week and looking to do some serious miles exploring the Highlands.
Heading up past that way myself enroute to the Outer Hebrides for a week of exploring.
What are you riding? @@RichO1701e
The road from Moffat is probably the best and some lovely lines there Bruce before the camera died ,,,👍👍🏴🏴
I do love that stretch between Dunkeld and Crieff, cracking bit of tarmac!
I agree, Michael Harts sausage rolls are amazing but the pies are out of this world! The best pies on the planet!
These are my play roads (I'm in Edinburgh) loved watching all the videos and interesting to see what routes you picked.
Hey Bruce,I watched this tour between yesterday & today & it really looked amazing! 😎👍
Did Mick ever find his memory cards? 🤔
Oh & is it classed as bike-ist if you don't allow Ducati's on your tours? 😮🤣✌️
Yet another epic Scotland trip. I need to get back and soon. Top job bruce
Really enjoyed this series, Bruce. Reminds me of the Highlands trips we used to do but not done for a few years. A bit like The Angus In Blairgowrie; used to stay there loads many years ago for work but it got a bit tired. Sounds like it’s much better now from your reactions?
Did the SD cards turn up or have they gone the way of David the sheep 🐑 mia
The big blue bike looks nice.
Cracking tour series probably the best one I’ve seen, loved watching every episode.
Is April a good time to visit Scotland 🏴
The Derwent manor is literally 5 mins from my mams house. We can see the hotel over the valley.
Great series again. Looking forwards to my trip in May/June. We’re running the other way round and have a few more days. However, I’m a little worried….. I’m on a multistrada…..
You’ll be fine for fuel (if that’s your concern) - across the top just make sure you fill up in Wick and then you’ll be fine until Durness up in the North West corner👍
@@teapotone more the reliability lol
I can agree on the sausage rolls from Michael hart in cricklade . They are the dogs do das but you want to try his pies I live in cricklade to ain’t I the lucky one 😜😂😂
What a finish Bruce , absolutely brilliant and a lot of fun . Tha ks for the great entertainment. Great tour and I'll say it again, Scotland is magical 👍
Great series. Think I’d need to start with a new tyre? lol.
A great series. Enjoyed it. Thanks Bruce
Loved this series Bruce 👍🏼 so much so, the mrs & me are looking at doing the highlands again this summer, instead of our plans of doing south uk into northern France.
The difference with riding those roads to what we ride in the high peak Derbyshire, is when you say “ this is an awesome road” , is in the highlands that road is 40/60 miles long 😁
In Derbyshire ( my local roads ) the same quote is around 5/7 miles 🤣
Love the highlands 👌
Just makes me home sick and counting down the days when I can ride them roads again ❤
Amazing series Bruce, thanks for sharing! 👍👍
👍
Cracking roads and scenery. Glad you enjoyed it
Every one a winner 🏆 great series 👏
Great series… booked on this year’s run… can’t flipping wait!!! 🤪🤪🤗🤗👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
What an epic tour! Even clocked my work van at the pumps at heartlands services 😂👌
Brilliant series pal loved it. You were tired when you came and did the off-roading with us on the Sunday. I can understand why now what a brilliant tour
SOMEDAY!! I WILL RIDE SCOTLAND, SOMEDAY!!!!
Enjoyed series up therecoupletimes later in year, last series road to St Mary's loch is awesome
Great series Bruce never been to Scotland ashamed to say but will look at one of your tours in Scotland, keep up the great work vids 👍
The three wheel thing is called a spyder. They come in many forms, that one was more sportier one. The cardo app you can change the audio from music and standard to voice clear.
So when you looked out from your balcony at the Derwent Manner Hotel you would have been staring at my house on the top of the hill. Should have mentioned it and I would have joined you for a pint.
Get out my backyard🤣know a lot of those roads as live just off the A68 near Corbridge, yes I’m spoilt and I ride a Multistrada V2S which is more reliable than previous GSs🤣
Great series Bruce, and nice to see my playground at Keilder.
What road was it? I'm looking for an alternative route instead of Jedburgh when going up/down from Essex.
Fantastic series buddy 👏 👍 🏍🚜
Fantastic tour Bruce enjoyed every single minute thanks mate 👍
Great job selling Scotland Bruce . Job done indeed
Brilliant as always...Great series 👏
Bruce, great trip. Is this an annual event? If so, what sort of bribery would you recommend to secure me a place in the near future? ATVB
Great series, Bruce. A suggestion: Occasionally you have, um, "technical difficulties" in the videos when your speedometer is not legible. ;) You might want to check whether those difficulties are "prone to spread" over to the gear position indicator and the rpm display. Reason: The GS's tranny gear ratios, final drive ratio and rear wheel diameter are readily available numbers. With the currently selected gear and the rpm, one can easily multiply out the numbers and get actual ground speed even if the speedo is not visible. You know better than most how much holier-than-thou people are itching to snitch, even if you are thoughtful about where/when it is safe and appropriate to be doing what you're doing. With all the necessary numbers, a prosecutor's job is easier. Feel free to delete this comment if you are concerned about the content.
Great end to the series, it's been 9 years since I was last in Scotland on a bike.... I must change that.
Hi Bruce , brilliant video's, cheer me up as it is miserable here in Nofolk. Glad you all had alot of fun. Enjoyed the banter too😊
Brilliant series Bruce. 👏 I'll be going the opposite way around on my oll Tiger 955i in spring . Solo blast around for me 😊
Excellent video, you were having some fun there!
Another great video you have a very hard job
Love the vid mate! Perthshire is like a second home to me and my family so doing something like this would be an insane experience! Awesome stuff!
Fantastic series! Apple cross was my wish list too, it was amazing but I couldn't stay too long because my brother was a cold arse. 😂
I agree that there aint much in the central belt. Though i would recommend the Campsie Glen and the Dukes pass.
That shell garage is like 5 minutes from my house 🤣🤣
fantastic set of vids mate will have to get some experience as only passed my DAS on the 19th of Jan 2024 lol then save and come on one
Great video again what’s the link to the bike competition with accident claims ?
Thanks bud, competition link is motorcycleaccidentclaims.co.uk/teapotone
@@teapotone thank you cant wait for the next episode
Derwent Manor's a good hotel, been there a few years back.
Felt like something is missing ! Oh, yeah : where is the legendary Scottish summer weather gone in this one 🙃 ?
@TeapotOne I know you said before but can’t find the video. Which iPhone do you use and which phone mount is that?
Not just wales with the 20mph then😂
🤘👍👍👍👍🤘
Hi Bruse, I am awaiting a R1300GS what satnav do you recommend for it.
Can you tell me the brand, make and model of your phone holder? I wanna get something similar if I can.
Sounds like sabotage, destroying a good man’s sd card to “force” him to go again! 😂
Whats was the name and location of the last hotel?
You must have the only four speed gs in the country 🤔
Gez o ...what did that gaff at the end cost.
Nice one Bruce. Another quality series 👏🏻 Can riding in Scotland really be beaten?
Can I ask you, or anyone else who uses the Lone Rider handlebar bag, transferred it to your 1300? does it fit as well? and any issues with it interfering with the access to the mobile phone compartment?
Living in Scotland I can only say the roads are great but easily beaten by many of them in the Black Forest and the Alps. I don't follow the type of riding here as I like to look at the scenery as well as the road so stay within the limits for the roads, I don't treat them like a race track. I now ride one of those three wheeled things, a Spyder RTL, great for long trips, only drawback is you can't filter due to it's width.
Hi Bruce. Great ride again and bless my sole, as soon as you did you did that heading over the border booo, did the sky just get a wee bit brighter? 🫶🤣🤣🤣
