Hype is so much fun to use I was playing last night and got a 54% combo with it but I don’t remember wtf I did 🤣
I literally have no idea how to get the timing with the first 3 meterless combos. Say F124/F4. Dash, F1, 212, Dash 4~BF4m after F1, I cant for my life hit 212 as I am too late. This is also for the other dashes. What am I missing ffs :D
Edit: Other player is just too far away to hit him with the first 1 of the string.
For corner f124 I was able to get 2 b3s before doing your ender for 303.81 dmg instead of 289.41 like you. Very helpful video, thanks for the Johnny content.
For that one specifically, I do this and I deal 313.74 instead.

Pick whichever is easier for you to execute, for me personally, mine seems to be more consistent. A little bit of damage doesn't make as much of a difference as whether you can execute something consistently or not.
I also changed the F124 1 bar corner combo because I find it hard to execute. Instead of dealing 332 I deal 343 damage with:
f124, 212, 4 risingstar ex, 4, f3 shadowkick
also, if you can replace f3 with f32 it goes up to 358, or if you replace f3 with 21 you get 344, but I prefer my version for easiness of execution.
Im afraid to learn this because i have learnt 4 combos off of 212 and you just gave me a fifth because its better than all of them im sick of relearning better combos😂

The best combo I found so far that Cost 1 bar and both assist, is.(Sareena required) 34 back kameo 34 back kameo into 3 4 down back 3 ex (wait till they reach the top of the air), 2, (wait till you reach the floor) 2 1 2 Dash 2 1 into back forward 4 (Then you can use stance to get hype meter)That’s an easy 419. With a opportunity to give hype meter.

Definitely Striker in my opinion. Striker has a better version of Kanos knives in the bombs. The baton attacks for insane mix ups and the cuffs move to restand the enemy at the end of combos and guarantee mix ups

Rax on Johnny is ridiculous. Helicopter allows him to combo into hype without spending the bar, and net allows him to recapture for a second hype use. Rax makes everyone crazy.
BTW its F124 Dash F1 MIRCO DASH 212 Dash BF4. I was trying it and couldn’t get it until I did the micro dash

On 212 f3 212 4 bf4 if you time it better you can get 212 f3 212 f32 bf4 for more damage. It was your first combo in the video

212, 4, 212, 214-db4, kameo, b2 full charge, 4-bf4
Call your kameo slightly after Johnny's arm fully retracts.
Sync the b2 with the 4-5 hit of the kameo.
The timing is HORRIBLY strict. It took me roughly 10 hours of practice mode and a blister on my thumb to figure it out.

what does "~" mean? cancel?
yeah that means cancelling the string into a special move. Or in some cases a special move into a special move (johnny's hype mode ability)
New to MK.. I can't even get the first meterless combo right.
212, dash, F3, 212 becomes
212, dash, f312. 😢
There are easier combo routes, these are the most optimal for the time being.
I have an older combo guide from the beta that isn't as complicated. However, an easier version of the combo could be 212, dash 212, dash f12 shadowkick/nutpunch

Hey bro I don't t know if you know but it's actually possible to combo into hype without a kameo while the opponent is in the air without using bar.
A video about that is gonna get posted on my channel soon( it's rendering now).

Can you do it mid screen? I know you can just standing 4 AA in the corner, but have been looking for better ways to get into hype mid screen
I think the last kombo is not possible anymore. When you get to the corner the first nuptunch can't be canceled.
It can. The way it works is that you must cancel the recovery of the final nut punch after doing 3 and calling a kameo with a jump, a dash or another string. If you try to do double nut punch into cyrax net and then immediately follow up with double nut punch it won't work.
But if you do a jumping attack or a standing normal it is possible
So literally the only thing I changed was the jump after the net, I went straight to the 212 string. Because of that it didn't work. Doesn't make much sense.

lol idk why Johnny is always the character I end up not being able to use. I could climb ranked to the top 2-3 tiers with like 10+ characters in MK11, but not Johnny, could never figure him out. Looks like it's the same this year, I just can't seem to connect the strings no matter how I adjust my timing.
I can even see on the side of the screen that I'm inputting the correct buttons perfectly, but I can only connect with 212 dash F3 then only 2 connects and it drops, even though the input shows 212

@@TheKompetitor I can never do his combos. I tried over and over hundreds of tries, but they don't connect. I try other characters and theirs connect. Idk what the big difference is or why I can't make Johnny work

the timing is very strict, i found that mashing 2 over until the first hit comes out works most of the time
