    This looks cute!
    There are a lot of this type of game popping up lately. Good to have something to play that isn't all "stress, stress, attack, achieve!" I enjoy that kind of game, but after a while it's just nice to have a palate cleanser like these. :)

      That's exactly how I feel about them, a great little palette cleanser :)

    I love the tides in this it really adds an unique feeling to the game. It immediately felt so prefect for it as well as the (historic) region of Frisia is located near the Wadden Sea an area well known for its tidal flats, where it sometimes is even possible to walk between islands when the water is at its lowest. Due to this and hidden sandbanks many ships found a not so happy end, and still do from time to time, making for many washed up goods like in the game.

    Friesland is a province in the northern part of the Netherlands (Holland for you dummies 😉). It's a remaining of the once much bigger region called Frisia. The games seems to be located on one of the Wadden islands which are part of the province of Friesland.

    • @Bethgael
      @Bethgael 3 месяца назад

      Is this also the origin region of those lovely black horses?

    • @thijseijk25
      @thijseijk25 3 месяца назад +2

      @@Bethgael Yes and no. The horse is named after the Frisia region which was much bigger than nowadays Friesland. The historical Frisia region includes roughly the modern day provinces (from south to north) Zeeland (NL), South-Holland (NL), North-Holland (NL), Utrecht (NL), Friesland (NL), Groningen (NL),the northern part of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) (DE) and the western part of Schleswig-Holstein (DE).

    Do you think the developers ever think "Jonti might play this, we better put in some flowers and fences"?

      If I ever am responsible for a game adding 'fluff' like benches, flowers etc... I'll consider my work here done lol

    Wonderingi if the little one was alseep or you were just lfeeling very chill and zen when you were playing. Bordering on ASMR at some points! Cute little game by the way!

      Honestly a little bit of both! I have been recording when the kiddo goes down, but also I do find my tone shifting when playing these more chill games. The one I did today 'Make Room' i'm practically dozing off lol

    When I commented earlier on the Citadelum video, I nearly added "Frisia is probably not fleshed out enough for a video yet." I'm glad I was wrong :)
    I love that the UI on the right has the style of traditional Frisian ceramic tiles. I can't wait to see this developed more. Already a big fan. It's actually the first time in ages I played a game in German to add to the childhood nostalgia.

      Yes! I'd love to see more variation... I love that specific items like the bell mean you can build a church, would really make me scour the shore each day for the next blueprint!
