    I own both and i fully agree with everything you said from a non biased standpoint.. stock motor to headwork the zx10 will rule in roll racing or landspeed where trapspeed matters instead of e.t. But for full builds beyond headwork you cant beat Suzuki.

      ,kawasaki has bad frame design were the swing arm bolts to the frame the pivot bolt is all the way towards the front of the bike if anything it should be on the back side so it has some strength its ass backwards just like they put the c clip holding the trans shaft i guess it would be in[ut clutch is on the other end and rod goes threw the middle of shaft the c clip holding shaft is all the way towards the clutch basket if you put somee healthy clutch springs in it they will break the casr of the enging and shaft floats on a z1 or kz 1000 series kawasaki must be trying to get back at us for fat man and little boy im thinking

      THE TRUTH? Based on what? McBride 900cc based kawasaki was topdog forever. Yamaha's are killing in motogp. I'm a devote Suzuki/Kawai lover myself but let's be honest. Harley vrods owned the track for a long time. Track wins are really driven by engineers putting in the effort to design parts and make them available. Heavy market, fast bike. That's ever evolving.
      A statement like that is like the argument of who's the best guitarist of all time...lol

      @@smvsounds Exactly my point. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love suzuki. I actually put my Kz1000A on the shelf when I bought the then new to America 1986 gsxr1100. Aftermarket parts is what really drives track performance (rider skills being equal).
      Suzuki did blow the doors wide open with the gsxr series in 86. They hands down get the credit...Sport bikes drastically changed after that.

    Gsxr= Chevy
    Zx10r= Ford
    R&d and aftermarket support plays a huge part in any build. Both can be made to go quick and fast. One will cost $1000 to do while the other will take $4000(example). Kawasaki dominates in road racing Suzuki dominates on the dragstrip. Great video

    • @omieboriboun9862
      @omieboriboun9862 4 года назад

      Camshafts for Suzuki's are like 200$ each, a pair of weld ups are 1000$ pair, 1350$ if you want a billet camshaft set for ZX14. Even the labour to work on these bikes cost more for Kawasaki just because of how they engineered the bike. Monocoque frame with build in air box and single block engine case compared to Busa's separate block is even cheaper to ship. It takes $$$ to make a Kawasaki fast, but it can be done. Join the masses or pay $$$ to be different...

    The aftermarket determines the bikes potential. 6mm billet cranks or even 4mm have been around since 2001 for the GSXR 1000. Just look at the drag/classes. Way cheaper to build a Suzuki than Kawasaki too. Always has been this way for big bore strokers Busa and GSXR.

    As a Kawi fan and 18 10R owner, I can accept this. For the average rider with limited funds the cost, performance and reliability ratio swings in Suzuki favor. But with enough money anything is possible ( thinking of Stotz racing success with Honda ). I would like to see more development for Kawasaki and the new 1K's to bring some different mfgs out to the strip tho.

It’s beat quite a bit of newer 12’+ bikes but I account that to me actually knowing how to ride and shift properly. In It’s year range it usually dominates bikes with similar mods and year range 👍🏻 Love the bike and have it setup exactly as I like it, not sure I’ll sell it or not.

      K8 has 64 bit ecu, 2mm bigger valves and bigger header. Also 8 injectors. It has the best flowing head. K3 has the best clutch. K1 has the thickest cases. All Chris's bikes are 07/08 for a reason, those are the best years to build. K5/K6 are the lightest but has a frame cracking issue from factory. 1mm smaller valves than K7/K8. K7 were heavier due to dual exhaust stock, remove those and its closer to K5/K6. Hope this helps, common knowledge from a K1 owner from the beginning.
      There are shops that have been building 1143cc all motor big bore strokers since 2001, 200+whp 105tq on pump gas and no over heating in traffic. That was big street power in '01. Suzuki has been King of Power since its introduction in 2001.

What I also see is tuner that while he reps Suzuki, he also give props where it's due, hence owning a 21zx10r as well as a 16 zx14 for super stock. Would you say, this comparison would have to be altered depending on what type of racing your doing, meaning anything other then Super stock? Seeing David Fondon who's been killing it in Super stock with his 19 Zx10r until recently switching to the BMW s1000RR. Not to mention yourself rocking the zx14 for the Super stock class. with that really long arm on it if the arm isnt strong they will buckle uo under extreme loading and chaiin will doing the snake wiggle on the bottom side the swing arm will twist as wwell i can see almost all of the 6 second bikes with long arms look at the rear tire its pitched at a angle leaning under load they should make a arm that has support on the top side on the chain side and on the bottom on the brake side

    I have a busa gen 1 and zx12. All we do is drag race them. And the busa by far is just easier to work on. And definitely breaks less. Im thinking of selling the zx12 for possibly a 14 or should I do the busa gen 2

    07/08 gsxr1k go for $4500-7500 all day with built $2k-3k head and cams that has bolts on already will destroy any gen4 zx10 and still be under 10k on the track or the street. how much do 4th gen zx10 go for 10k on the super low side to 14k full bolts may be more.

    As a kawi fan I think the zx10r is the fastest bike out the box, so it’s the fastest bike from a roll. Everything else the gsxr is superior in terms of the drag strip. Better gear box better clutch wayyyyy bigger aftermarket for parts relating to the drag strip. I rather own a gsxr for a grudge bike. But I rather have a zx10r for roll racing! Also for power I think the zx10r should be set to rev to 14.5k . 14k is too low maybe one of the reasons it’s not making 200whp but at the end of the day dyno numbers means nothing.

    The dragbike scene caters to suzuki. That is the reason people go with them. The industry makes more high performance things for Suzuki. If the industry made parts to hold for the Kawasaki, you would see a lot more kawasaki grudge bikes. Im a kawasaki man myself but they did screw up on the zx14r chassis set up. It is a freaking nightmare to work on vs the busa. You simply remove the fuel tank and you're down in the engine.

    I don't even race and have no clue but a street racer told me if you are going to build a race bike he recommended the Suzuki GSXR because of after market parts are plentiful and less expensive money wise. I was told the zx14 will not hold up to well with certain builds. A guy on youtube is on his second zx14 he bought because the other one the engine blew up. His other zx 14 is a total loss and it will be scraped for the parts. He was telling me the truth.
