This just shows how much life is left in older bikes. The bike industry is constantly trying to sell us on sooooo many incremental changes/upgrades that we don't need each year (in turn raising prices more and more). Ride that bike, Nick. Great find!
You’re so right! I went into this totally convinced I’d have to upgrade a bunch of stuff since a lot of the parts are the “older standard” but tbh the bike feels absolutely awesome! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, Todd! 🤙
I scored on 2008 stp with an Argyle rct fork. Awesome bike. $150!!!!!! Give thanks everytime. Anyway your vid really helped I to decide. So glad I did. Been riding it everyday since. Bless up
That’s awesome man! Happy my video was able to help and stoked to hear you’re enjoying your new bike! ✊ Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
I just got the 2010 version, looks sick in the teal color & has better spec (DJ 2). Seems to be working ok, test ride was super fun, feels light. Some scratches on it but that's to be expected, it seems to have been somewhat neglected but nothing that too bad on first sight. Can't wait to work & ride on it :) Your model also looks interesting!
Dope! One of the best parts of getting a used bike is tinkering and upgrading! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! 👍 Hope you enjoy your new DJ!
Ive had all 3 of the stps there a good design strong bikes i ride the stp 3 its more raked out it handles better i wish i had kept the others it would be sick to have all 3 at the skate park to feel the difference
Oh, and by the way, this is my second channel I have another one in the Colemans park video I recommended that you should try out the trail right behind the pump track
Right! I’ve been scrolling fb marketplace for months and haven’t seen one this low. Figured there had to be some catch with it but was stoked to find it was pretty solid. The Norco Ryde looks like a solid bike! How are you liking it?
@@NickandKatieMTB it was decent but even though it was a long it was small for me at 6’4. Was fun while I had it but it didn’t get enough use so I sold it after having it for a year or so.

Nice find! I (Brian) recently picked up a DJ as well…. Haven’t spent much time on it, but definitely plan to!
That’s awesome! Such a fun bike to have around. What DJ did you get?
@@NickandKatieMTB older Specialized. But realized I’m old and really like suspension. 🤣
Super sick bike definitely ganna be the next type of bike to my fleet and this is a perfect example of what I wanna do!
I’m super happy with it! You should def get one after you get your new mtb. Gonna be so much fun at places like Harvest Fields! 🤙
@@NickandKatieMTB oh ya. Still working hard for the big bike tho 💪
@@Ben_Kasper keep pushing! Any day now homie! 💪
nice job guys
Thanks man! 🤙
What skatepark is that? I've been looking for one around here for a while before I sold my DJ
It’s called Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark! It’s top notch!
The York skate park is super fun the vert bowl is super fun to air
It’s such a sick spot. Looking forward to airing out over the copping in the future! Just getting my bearings for now. 🤙

Now that you got a dirt jumper, you should go back to Colemans park and hit those doubles
Absolutely! Can’t wait to take this bike back to all of the skills parks we’ve found over the last year 💪
Sounds like a lot of fun sometimes and I’m probably gonna go to blue marsh
And one thing that I’ve been wanting to do is get a hitch for my grandmothers car, so then she can take me biking to my Commons Park in Ephrata

My icon was a Bryce Harper
$170 is a killer deal, I was looking for one of these a little while ago and couldn’t find anything near that price. Ended with a Norco ryde for $350

@@jeffbenson7712 gotcha man! Yeah I could imagine any DJ would be a little cramped at 6’4. You’d probably need a 27.5 hardtail with dirt jump geo!
I’m looking at buying an older stp myself
Nice man! They’re great bikes!
You could definitely chop a chunk of the seatpost off
True! Shave off a little unnecessary weight. ✂️Thanks for the idea man!
I need this bike😢
It’s for sale on Facebook marketplace!
