- In this video we have an HP x360 laptop that will not power on. Plugged and unplugged there is no activity on the laptop. We go over steps on how to diagnose and find the issue with your laptop. Guys, I have the same problem, but the solution in the video didn't work.
But it inspires me to try something
I unplug the cmos battery and plug the battery + power chord
And the woooorks!!!
After it work I keep the battery and power line connected and now I connect the cmos battery and I try it still wooooorks and now everything works fine

most HP models now do not have a cmos battery.
OMG! it worked! Mine wasn’t coming on and I took the back off rubbed the battery a few times and by golly it came on! I’ve got 2 discussions, a final exam and paper due on this laptop! You rock!!!
bypassing the battery worked like a charm!

I removed the battery and plugged in the power cord and it powered on, thanks, now I’ll order a new battery. 👍🏼

Hi I found you trying to figure out what the problem is with my go envy x360 2 in 1 15. Something touch screen year 2021. I noticed while using my laptop it would get hot which it never did before one day I went to put the charger in where it goes the orange light lit up but only for a second once I pushed the power button the light went away and now I’m trying to figure it out I know it’s not the charger as I purchased a new one it still does not charge or turn on so tomorrow I will try doing as you did here. Thanks for the video and I pray it’s nothing big and it’s just minor I paid extra money for more space better processor etc
That was very helpful, thank you. I removed the battery but unfortunately I'm still not able to power up. The power button lights up and then goes off after 5 seconds. I'll keep trying. As you said, it might be a motherboard issue. At least I'm learning!

Hi, I have hp chromebook 360 14da0011dx i get a amber light when pluged to the charger but it does not power on at all i disconnect the battery and the amber lights flash on and off please hel[p, ive tried a reset and nothing completely dead any ideas...i would appreciated if you have an idea what the problem might be.. thank you.

I have the same x360 I bought a new battery but after the bios screen comes up and you press enter left hand bottom comes up F10 ...bios option and I have to repeatedly press F10 to get to the main bios screen. After pressing yes the computer boots up. But if you turn the computer off then turn it back on you have to unhook the battery hold down the power button for a minute plug in the power cord then turn it on and have to do the same procedure again for it to boot up what's wrong with it?
Mine does the same thing. envy 360 convertible.
It turned after the second time of pressing the power button for 10 seconds.
Turned on when I removed the battery and just powered it via charger.
I have 2 HP x360 laptops. Both of them stopped working this morning. I have not tried opening them up yet but did try holding buttons and power button tricks. Didn’t work. I wonder if some software issue or attack could be to blame since they both stopped working simultaneously. A bit to suspicious!
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Could be the charger. I had two Nintendo switches stop working the same day and the end result was a bad charging cord. Fried some chips on the board.
