I have used the throw away ticket option that Jennifer suggested once before. It worked well. I have purchased my second ticket with full confidence that it will work as exit ticket. Both times I have purchased the option to have the ticket valid for two weeks. Thanks Jennifer for your advice.

Jennifer i bought a onward ticket today...for my trip to cebu on the 7th. Thanks to you and your channel, i have a higher level confidence about my upcoming trip. I followed your suggestion about practicing to enroll on Onehealth pass. And specifically about uploading vacc documents. Whoa! Took me 2 hours! I would have panicked if i had waited. I also bought travel insurance, just in case (i don't bounce as well as i did when your age ;) ). So, i think I'm set except for luggage. But that's probably a solution money money will resolve. You made the complicated simple and the ridiculous tolerable. Once i land, and begin the sweating process, i let you know mission completed. Oh. And my next mission will be the extension...your advice will be followed religiously!

Hi Jennifer, I already left a comment after I arrived in Manila finally after 2 years, thanking you for the advice helping make my entry very easy last week March 3, I was out of NAIA T3 in less than 20 minutes. I also said this before, but I am just repeating based on this video. I was not asked to show my return ticket on entry, nor my insurance. Of course I don't regret having them ready, but, again, I was not asked to present them at all. The only interest was Vaccination Status and my RT-PCR. I will say though, before Covid, when I travelled back and forth to Australia when I was working in Manila, I lost count of the number of times the check in staff at Perth Airport said my return ticket was outside of the 30 day visa free entry, of course I had a work visa so this didn't matter. It was never an issue coming through Immigration in Manila, obviously because I had a visa and an APEC Business Card. Keep up the great work Jennifer.

Before the next topic on where to get the antigen test….look for DOH accredited centers in your area or anywhere.There’s lots of them. Some come in tents where you can walk, there are clinics where you can drive thru and you stay in your car while you get swabbed, and you can go to a hospital and they’ll direct you where to go. Lastly make sure they’re open on the weekends because if your return back to the US is a Monday, your antigen test should be done on a Sunday. I hope this helps.

Hi Jennifer terri. I arrived yesterday at Mactan airport with my 3 year old daughter . was surprised coz I didn’t know that we have to get swab test upon arrival including my 3 year old daughter . I thought only 48 hrs pcr test before flight and 5th day at the quarantine hotel . The plane was packed I believe it was fully booked I fly with Qatar airways. Also they didn’t ask for travel insurance for my daughter who is a Us citizen

Hello Jennifer. I hope you are doing fine. I've been following your page as a subscriber since the pandemic started. I just want to let you know that you do a great job on keeping everyone updated on travel news to get backed to the Philippines. I'm finally going to see my wife there after 2 1/2 years. I will be arriving back in the Philippines on June 17. Jennifer i do have a question for you. Before the Philippines opened back in February the ITAF stated that the only way that a foreign national to enter the country is that they had to be married to a Philippine National. So at that point i was going to start the process of applying for a 9A Visa to enter the country. But my wife and I decided that it would be a good idea to come in June that way i could be there for my birthday celebration in July. So at that point i purchased my plan ticket for the 59 days, which is the time that is given for the 9A VISA. . Then the country opened and they said you can only stay 30 days and then they said recently that before you leave the country you can get extension on the 30 day VISA, So do i still need to apply for the 9A VISA and can i still stay the 59 days since I'm married to a Philippine National. I have a return ticket but the question also is do i have to show the exit ticket? Also, what required documents do i need to show immigration that I'm married to a Philippine National... Thanks

Hi Jennifer, Hope you are doing well. Love your work. Is there any update regarding Visa issuance for Indians yet? Scheduled international flights are set to resume from 27th March and so far there is no news about India to Philippines travel. Embassy don't have answers yet. Hoping you could provide some clarity.

I had all the required items for entry into the Philippines and don't suggest any short cuts but I was only asked to show negative pcr, vaccination certificate and One health pass.
Hello Jen a US Foreign tourist, friend of mine made it to Manila sometime last week and he has a round trip ticket good for 2 months stay there and no problem. We have contact and he got in fine. I thought Cant exceed more than 30 days but I think it’s ok. Didn’t ask travel insurance even Just fyi
Onward Ticket worked for visa application, check-in and immigration outbound from Philippines.
Yes you do need proof of exit ticket
Jennifer can you do a post about intra travel within Philippines like Boracay, El Nido and Coron etc. These places need more applications before travel or a traveller will get a shock at the airport as i did. If not prepared a traveller will.loose everything and these requirements are not published.
Thanks Jenni....one question, do you know how can I check updates about the countries included in the reciprocal agreement for vaccination certificate? My country's certificate is not allowed by now, that's why I want to check...from my embassy in Philippines told me that they hasn't received answer from pilipino authorities yet, so it would be useful for me check those updates....thank you in advance.

I am having trouble with the maths.I booked from the 20th March from Bangkok and booked an exit ticket from Manila to London on April the 19th.Hopefully this is within the 30 days.

On previous trips to PI, the 30 day visa commenced on the day after arrival.
Say I landed in Manila on the 03/30/22 the stamp in my passport would show 03/31/2022 therefore my last day of exit would be 04/30/2022 which is 30 days.
Hope this policy hasn’t changed, can you please confirm because I want to maximize my visa free stay without extending.

Hi Jennifer. Im disappointed you didnt answer my query I sent 3 monhs ago. Im confused about the 48 hour validity on the rental tickets. Can you explain further. I'lll be arriving in Mania on 26 September , hoping the 59 day stay will be in force by then, if not back to 30 days upon arrival. When should i purchase my rental ticket? Hi Jennifer, If I purchase a ticket from LAX ( Los Angeles CA) to Manila and get all the requirements needed, will I have a problem purchasing a separate ticket from Manila to General Santos? Will they require another PCR Test or is there anything else I need to worry about? I plan on taking my flight on Cebu Pacific from Manila to General Santos as they have more available flights. I am only staying for 3 weeks.
I already got my ticket there to Manila 454 dollars than to Singapore for 35 dollars and insurance for 35 dollars can't wait to get there
We used an onward ticket and it worked when we moved to the Philippines in feb 25, we showed it to the PAL rep and the immigration officer and both worked, thank you so much Jennifer for being the best Philippines travel update channel on youtube! Immigration don't check for onward ticket, only the airline check because it's their way of earning double your money.
@@peterseah5587 immigration checked our onward ticket twice, one per checkpoint. Not sure if things have changed since February 25 but that was our experience with it
@@peterseah5587 Immigration does check if they cannot see a return flight on your arrival itinerary. Airline checks because they are required to make sure you have entrance requirements.

I noticed there is no option for a middle name. Does anyone know if this matters? Is just first and last acceptable or should middle name be included on line with first name?
Thank-you Jennifer, I have been following you for a length of time, wanting to go home, I finally arrived on the 5, did have a problem with my exit ticket, not leaving for six months, had my insurance paid for the six months of stay, that was a good thing, but the the thing that let me in was an expired ARC card, that’s what saved me, Just Happy to be home
What's an ACR card?
@@patricks1787 ACR/I Card is registration/ID card for foreigners staying longer than 59 days. If you arrive with an expired one you can renew it at the airport.

Question I'm leaving March 31 9pm out of jfk to Chicago layover 2 hrs then Doha 3hrs then cebu arrive 4:35 will have RT - PCR IN hand by 1pm will I still be ok taking it same day of departure
I got round trip. June 21 heading to pinas and coming back July 15. Sounds like pain in a rear end.
Correction needed - 1st thru 29 is only 29 days. Also as others have commented. The first official day starts with the 2nd. So someone arriving on the 1st of April will need to depart by May 1. This has always been the case.

I do plan on extending once there or will it need to be changed to show 30 days only?? I just want to avoid any surprises when i arrive there
@roy - your insurance of 59 days will be ok and make sure you get an exit/ throwaway ticket which leaves in 30 days or less.

I am trying to purchase one for next week‘a travel through safety wing but I was told that since I am still in the US they can’t sell me insurance and that I have to cross the borders before I can get one.
