Bageshree is the most emotional raaga that I personally feel. It is the mixed emotion of romance and devotion. It's the feeling when you beg to your beloved for something with the tears in your eyes.it's like you are repeatedly saying the same words but in thousands of different ways in order to convince your beloved.
Do not know anything about music, but this lady belongs to a different world - cannot be believed that she belongs to this confusing world - what knowledge !what execution ! No praise is enough for her.

You forget all your problems and start floating on the cloud. People who do not appreciate Hindustani classical music are missing out a large part of musical world…..

Sawani Shende her Classical presentation is beautiful soul searching journey. she mesmerizes audiences with pure yet aesthetical rendering of the Raga.
This was an awesome way of explaining the rudiments as well as complexities of Bageshree... Mrs Sawani has a great way of lectdemoing the session, aided with a celestially blessed voice and clarity of words. Rageshree slightly veers off with Gandhar, a deviation. When I heard this session, I was reminded of "Chahe barbad karegi" by K L Saigal and of course "jaag ishq dard" by the talented C Ramachandra, who was fascinated by this raag and composed other songs too like "na bole na bole na bole re..." And when the topic veered to Rageshsree... "Kaun aaya mere man ke dware " composed by the great Madan Mohan came to mind. The grammar was easy to register, not because it is simple, but because madam is a great mentor :-) It would be great to learn similarly on Chandrakauns! Thank you.
Nicely rendered & amazingly explained..Sawani is one of the leading artist in Indian classical singing in today's era..2nd generation artist & comes from an eminent family which is into classical music since long. Don't want to compare with anybody but would shortly define her as " Kaushiki " from west of India..Thanking this plaform, makers of the video & all artist for promoting & creating edutainment in Indian Classical Music..

FIRSTLY I THANK THE ORGANISERS FOR THEIR COMMENDABLE VENTURE AND SPECIALLY THE MOST RESPECFUL SINGER FOR EXPLAINING WITH DEMONSTRATION SO SIMPLY.SMOOTHLY AND WITH THE STRENGTH OF HER TREMENDOUS KNOWLEDGE IN ENGLISH DISPLAYING HER RICHNESS ON SELECTING THE VOCABULARY TO BE UNDERSTOOD EVEN BY COMMONERS LIKE US.
AS PER MY OBSERVATION I FEEL THAT BESIDES THE ALMIGHTYS GIFT FOR HER SINGING ABILITY ALONG WITH HER BEAUTY ENRICHED BY HER KNOWLEDGE AND CONFIDENCE AND TALENT IS POSSIBLE ONE AMONGST A FEW WHO IS CONTINUOUSLY ABLE TO KEEP A SMILE ON HER NOT ONLY WJILE EXPLAINING BUT ALSO WJILE SING SUCH DCRITICAL AND PROBABLY VERY DIFFICULT RAGAS. WE MOSTLY FIND CLASSICAL SINGERS EVEN WITH THEIR HIGHEST KNOWLEDGE ABILITY AND VAST KNOWLEDGE ARE FOR SE REASON OR TJE OTHER ALWAYS DISPLAY THE CHANGES IN THEIR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS WITH CERTAIN TWIST AND YURNS. POSSIBLY THE RAGAS ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO SING AND REQUIRES TOUNG TWISTING NOW AND THEN TO IMPROVISE THEIR EXPRESSIONS. MY RESPECTFUL APOLOGIES TO ALL THE CLASSICAL SINGERS ZT LARGE FOR INDULGING IN EXPRESSING MY PERSONAL VIEWS WJICH I DID WITH NO INTENTION OF HURTING ANYBODY.
THE LAST THING I WISH TO MENTION IS ABOUT MY SIMPLE WAY OF THINKING. AS SHE SANG YHE RAGAS WITH DETAILED EXPLAINATIONS,, BEING A NONUSICIAN , IT CAME TO MY MIND FROM HER EXPLAINATIONS THAT IT LOOKED AS IF SHE FIRST GOT INTO A CALM POND THEN SHE GRADUALLY STEPED ONTO A CALM RIVER. THEN SHE ENTERED THE SRTEMES OF A LITTLE ROUGH FLOW OF WATER AS IN KASHMIR AND SOME PARTS OT LOW WATER LEVEL RIVER TISTA IN MANY PARTS OF NORTH BENGAL.THEN WHILE STEPING ONTO THE HIGHER OCTAVE SHE GRSDUALLY MOVED OUT OF THE STREEMS TO THE SEMO ROUGH BACK WATER TINY WAVES PF THE SEA. IF MY WAY OF TRYING TO PRACTICALLY BUT NON-TECHNICALLY UNDERSTAND AND EXPRESSY PERSONAL FEELINGS. O BEG TO BE PARDONED WITH FOLDED HANDS IN THE EVENT IV MADE A BLUNDER IN TRYING TO MENTION WHAT I FELT AS A COMMNER. MAY THE AIGHTY BLESS ALL OUR SINGERS,USICIANS, TECHNICAL EXPERT AND LEARNED MENTORS WHO R HIGHLY VSLUED NATIONAL ASSETS ALWAYS AND FOR EVER.
Sawaniji has gone to great height of Indian classical music and musicology. God bless her to rise even higher.

Sawani Shende her Classical presentation is beautiful soul searching journey. she mesmerizes audiences with pure yet aesthetical rendering of the Raga.
This was an awesome way of explaining the rudiments as well as complexities of Bageshree... Mrs Sawani has a great way of lectdemoing the session, aided with a celestially blessed voice and clarity of words. Rageshree slightly veers off with Gandhar, a deviation.
When I heard this session, I was reminded of "Chahe barbad karegi" by K L Saigal and of course "jaag ishq dard" by the talented C Ramachandra, who was fascinated by this raag and composed other songs too like "na bole na bole na bole re..."
And when the topic veered to Rageshsree... "Kaun aaya mere man ke dware " composed by the great Madan Mohan came to mind. The grammar was easy to register, not because it is simple, but because madam is a great mentor :-)

Don't want to compare with anybody but would shortly define her as " Kaushiki " from west of India..Thanking this plaform, makers of the video & all artist for promoting & creating edutainment in Indian Classical Music..
