I had my 9 1/2 baby at home with no meds but when I had my implants I had the worst pain EVER. It’s no joke…I made the mistake of immediate implants which failed because I had lost too much bone. Others that works great, but if you get the option for bone grafting and ozone, try it! I’m sending every bit of love and support I can to you! I am soooooo sorry you’re going through this, but we’re all supporting you! And more importantly, when you get those teeth out you are going to feel soooooo much better overall and your heart will be safer. I got IVs after to help with immune support, and that was really helpful. Hang in there sweet soul!! 😘😘😘 (PS. Might be too soon, but what other adult gets to sing “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…!” 🤓😘🥰)

I have worked in the dental field for over 25 years. The way you are feeling is very valid. I am thankful we have creators like you to be extremely transparent about your dental journey. You can still go out to eat with a flipper/retainer. You will become an expert on removing your flipper/retainer covertly in restaurants, just do it at the table with a napkin and put it in your purse as if you’re taking out a piece of gum. I assure you no one will see. Or excuse yourself once your food has arrived to “wash your hands” and take it out with privacy. Just make sure you keep your lips together on the way back to the table! Once you are finished eating just go back to the restroom and put it back in. Hope these tips help! I’ve been through it myself and know exactly how you are feeling.

Shea, I had a deep cleaning done in two sessions and after the second cleaning they asked me if I want to have the 2 extractions done right then and there bc I was already numb. First I never had so many injections done in upper and lower jaw in my life (6-8 or more) Now I have TMJ with splitting headachs day and night. In and out of ER's, urgent care, PCP, ENT. Living every day and night on pain killers. I just hope dentist did not damage some nerves and it will eventually go away. Can't live forever on pain killers bc I am afraid of liver or kidney damage. A lot of people going through dental issues let's just pray together for a good outcome. Everyday will be a little bit easier. Love you and hang in there❤

What a blessing to have such a supportive husband during this struggle. The people we love are so integral in helping us through our really difficult times. You obviously have many people who care for you, a strong support system, caring and competent doctors, the where-with-all to have your needs provided, and the courage to endure. Many are praying for you. Try to rest and lean in to all of this love, concern, and support. Trust, rest, and heal. You are not alone.

Wow. This is just so unbelievably vulnerable and empowering to share this journey. So many of us struggle with intense shame, embarrassment, guilt and so many other compex feelings over our teeth... and its so much deep than vanity! Thank you so, so much for using your platform to normalize these issues... This is the kind of content i come to RUclips for. To deep dive into all my guilty pleasures, of course, but to find content and creators who are really sharing things that make me feel seen, understood, and less alone. I have so much empathy for people who know this unique pain and frustration 💓 You've got this, girl!! 🫂🦸‍♀️

Shea- I’ve worked in emergency dental department for years. I have every sympathy for you, you are definitely not alone, there are millions of people in your situation.
It’s a long process to have teeth replaced, and you are privileged to be in a situation to afford to get the treatment when many more can’t!
Thank you for sharing to the world your experiences, I wish you the best in your journey, please please share your confidence in the dental profession and less of your fear! So many will be following your dental journey please use this as a way to inspire them to get the help that only those who have been fully trained and licensed to work in oral health can give.

I opted to be put to sleep for the bone grafting. Is there anything you are doing additionally to try to keep from another implant failure?

I know how you feel. Been having dental problems since I’m 12. I’ve had more root canals than I can count. Some so bad that I had to bear unbelievable pain until they could put Novocain down into the root. Now after replacement bridges, posts & crowns I thought I would be ok in my senior years but after COVID I was encouraged to get the booster shot so I got the Moderna vaccine & I have never been the same. I’ve lost my smell & taste. I’ve had new bridges, less than a year old, becoming infected & little by little I lost a lot of my teeth after sufferings through infection after infection. I’ve gone through all my saving & now they say I have bone loss & needed cadaver bone to rebuild bone yet the still want to put in implants with no guarantee it will work. Since I don’t the money for implants I got false teeth on the top except for a few front. My mouth hurts 24/7. My tongue is always crack & red, I bite my front lips all day & look like I had a bad lip job. Roof of my mouth is so sore & denture is pushing my two front forward & one is so loose I doubt if it will make it through 2024. Implants are not covered by insurance so I am up shits creek. I’ve also had to have sinus surgery because teeth are a part of the sinuses. Who knew? I am resigned to be miserable for the rest of my life…..
I will be praying for you & wish you the best of health besides a year goes quickly & you don’t have to wear the bottom thingy unless you go out or are filming. The winter is here so wear turtlenecks or scarves & no one will even notice.

Shea, I had to have my 4 top front teeth removed. It’s horrible physically, emotionally and let’s not even get into the financial burden. I never know if my new teeth will last a month, a year, a few years or a lifetime. Nevertheless, your story really resonated with me so I had to comment. Wishing you the absolute best. You’ve got this.

Hello Shea! I just wanted to say I just felt this in my soul. I had an implant done on one of my top teeth in the front and I was terrified. It’s been a 2 year long ordeal and I finally went yesterday and got fitted for my permanent crown and I can’t tell you the relief I felt. Hang in there babe! I haven’t been able to bite into food for years.. I know so much how you feel. 💖💖 you’re so strong for sharing this.

Shea, you are in my prayers as you go through this journey. You will never know how much of an inspiration you are to so many. I admire you so much. I too had to have an implant and I was so terrified at the thought of it and leading up to the procedure. I know, relate, and understand all too well your fear. You will get through this and know this, so many love you and respect you for being so real in all that you do! You inspire! Keep on being you!

Teeth are such a stressful thing! I've been through it, too. I've gone through the extraction, bone graft, and implant process and I was so nervous about it not going well or being painful or failing, but it was smooth sailing and not painful at all other than paying the bill. Thinking of you as you go through this. It will soon be just an old memory - I'm confident you're going to come through this!

However I did and I’m still rocking your fashion buys at 68! Just be strong and know that others have gone through similar experiences and have come out on top! You have to be strong for your boys too!

Shea I am so sorry you have to go through this. You are so incredibly brave for sharing this journey. I used to work for a dentist who did implants and the journey was a long one for most, long being a year, like you said. But the end results were always mind blowing and brought most people to tears depending on where the teeth were. I've been following you since my 9 year old was a few months old. You helped get me though those long nights of midnight feedings and I so appreciate you. You will get through this. I am and I'm sure we all are praying for your strength and quick healing. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
