Many of those people have thick brown hair which doesn’t need to be washed often but if you have blonde hair especially you are ALLoWED to wash you hair daily or every second day as long as you aren’t putting in a lot of shampoo!
Is it true that you should use a moisturizing shampoo if you have eczema on your scalp but greasy hair the next day? Is your scalp over compensating by producing more oil si cells it's not getting enough moisture? Ty!❤
I have that exact Belula brush pictured. This morning as I brushed my hair on the third day after washing, I was thinking how perfect and free this hair oil was that I was distributing! I know curly girls may not be able to do this and that is sad. Both of my daughters have curly hair from their dad. It is beautiful, but a process to care for it.

Wait so I purchased a wooden hair brush for this purpose because I heard it distributes the oils and now I have to buy this kind of brush? So it’s no longer a wooden brush with wooden bristles?
The last two appointments were 8 (6-8 months apart) when I went to cut I had to cut away the 4-10 cm that had grown back because it was thin, stringy and no longer curled what am I doing wrong? There are so many of them at the top, voluminous and strong from chest to stomach they became thinner and
a brush with wooden bristles. They are easier to use too since they aren't that different from regular brushes. (A boar bristle brush is difficult to clean and not suitable for a lot of hairtypes because it's like brushing your hair with a lice comb. I had one years ago and in hindsight it pulled way to much on my hair, took forever to use and i eventually had to throw it out because you can't clean it properly). For me brushing my hair makes it look way more grasy but i think it's a hair type thing (if you have any sort of curlpatern i don't think brushing will help - made me more greasy anyway). I think Abbey sometimes forget there are more hairtypes and most studies are on pin straight hair.
That's actually healthy. I don't buy into this training your hair, because the longer you go without washes, your hair will be drier and scalp will be covered in sweat, dirt and oil. I see so many girls now with hair that looks awful and like it's covered in syrup. I'm sorry but I prefer healthy styled hair like I just left the salon
Make sure to keep them clean though! Use the end of a rat tail comb or the little metal comb it comes with to take the hair out, then just rub some shampoo onto the bristles, rinse, and let dry. Do NOT submerge it in water.

Is it true that you should use a moisturizing shampoo if you have eczema on your scalp but greasy hair the next day? Is your scalp over compensating by producing more oil si cells it's not getting enough moisture?
Ty!❤
Theres a dermatologist called Dr Dray who has great videos on eczema here on YT. I recommend watching her!
MY hair is so thick it's almost impossible to have a soft boar bristle brush get thru the thickness little lone touching the scalp.
I bought one but feel like my hair is just too damaged for it. It really helps with the oil, but my hair right now breaks even when I detangle with my fingers 😓
What’s the name of the brush?
+
They’re boar bristle brushes :)
Mason Pearson
Do the boar bristles one with regular bristles mixed in work just as good?
When I do that it just drags the oil on my scalp through the rest of my hair making it look even more greasy
Oh yeah a boar bristle brush literally changed my hair for $10. I love it!
Any other bristles i can use for hairbrush to hv same effect?
I cant go 4 days without washing my hair i’ll be drenched in oil. I tried this brush but how often do i need to brush to actually see results
Can you recommend one?
Hard to wash these wooden brushes. So i got a plastic denman one. It has both nylon and natural bristles.
That is a good aveces. Remember to clean your brush regularly, Periodically😊 Just remember to clean it.😅
My brush only lasted a few months. It got fuzzy stuff in it that I couldn’t get out. Dust maybe? Idk. Maybe I just had a crappy one.
ew how would you clean this porous brush 🤔
yeah id like to know that lol. very adamant about having a clean brush
Soak it in hot water with shampoo
@@caitroseco6752 lol I feel like it won't be thorough enough for my liking. The porousness will absorb the shampoo water too lol..maybe I'm too much of a germaphobe 😅
@@b3an72 lol yesss how will it get cleaned deep inside those bristles??
Got this brush like a year ago, love it and all, it Is soooo comfortable on my scalp, basically a mini massage, BUT i cannot seem to clean it well, the gunk is like stuck in the roots of the boar bristles. Any tips people🥺? Tried water and shampoo, picking with like hair sticks/needles etc
How do you keep the brush clean though? I have one and it’s oily now.
I have fairy thin hair. The boar bristle brush that I got. Was so soft that it didn't go through my hair.
Can you wash a brush like this?
I just bought one of these brushes, and it jas been amazing!!
First! --how often should you use hair masks?
When you wash. She washes her hair once a week
Wait so I purchased a wooden hair brush for this purpose because I heard it distributes the oils and now I have to buy this kind of brush? So it’s no longer a wooden brush with wooden bristles?
I use a wooden one and love it. My hair is very healthy but I wash every other day. It is not good for my scalp health to go any longer than that.
The last two appointments were 8 (6-8 months apart) when I went to cut I had to cut away the 4-10 cm that had grown back because it was thin, stringy and no longer curled
what am I doing wrong?
There are so many of them at the top, voluminous and strong from chest to stomach they became thinner and
What about silk fibers bristles??
What is the alternative for boar bristle brush?
a brush with wooden bristles.
Is there a brush that doesn't have an animal hair as bristles?
It’s a no for me. I have to wash my hair every other day.
Same!
What ?4 days? My hair gets oily after a day ☠️
Im gonna try this brush, my hair gets greasy after two days. Like it feels gross and looks gross 😭 let’s hope this can somewhat help
Make sure to keep them clean though! Use the end of a rat tail comb or the little metal comb it comes with to take the hair out, then just rub some shampoo onto the bristles, rinse, and let dry. Do NOT submerge it in water.
Also wash your hairbrush regularly ❤
What about people with curly hair?
Isn't that oil unclean? Why would you want to distribute it to the lengths of hair?
My curly hair would punish me for this.
Where i can buy
Need a vegan version of this recommendation.
I've replaced my old boar bristle brush with the Wet Brush Go Green Treatment & Shine hair brush - it uses synthetic boar bristles
@@SkyBlue3197 thank you!
The word is that brushes with bamboo "bristles" also do the same! But frankly, I'm also a big fan of wet brush.
Ethically sourced Bor bristles?
I imagine some dude running running after boars in the woods armed with a pair of scissors xD
How do you clean it though
4 days after washing? For oily hair? Oily hair people wash hair everyday otherwise we look like we didnt wash our hair for weeks
Us oily headed girls out here like nah fam, that’s crap. Straight. Cap. Been there, tried that, literal oil slick. Don’t do this.
P.S. it’s also, really bad for your hair.
Vegan / cruelty free alternatives?
Brushing makes my scalp produce more oil. They are so much flatter after I brushed them.
And you can now thankfully buy cruelty free/vegan boar like bristle brushes:)
