Back in the summer of 2012, the WWE held a monumental episode of Monday Night RAW, it was a 3 hour special celebrating the 1000th episode of RAW. It was a night that was supposed to combine the past, the present and the future in one night and give us an episode we would not forget.. Something that the WWE has tried to do many times since then. But RAW 1000 just had something special in the air, they were able to put together a show that to this day remains untouched, and still feels like the last BIG time HYPED up Monday Night RAW we had gotten. From legends returning to a crazy main event angle and more. RAW 1000 to this day is one of the best WWE RAW episodes of all time.. and it deserves a LOOK BACK AT! Enjoy!

12 years old me watching this show at my auntie/uncle house 1 week after family's appointment was set on fire (thankfully we we're okay and alive) and the sad is that this show was also the start 3 hrs of RAW for the rest of the decade man what a time it was

I was 12 years old doing this time. To be honest, CMPunk brought me back to wrestling among old faces I’ve seen growing up watching wrestling during my Ruthless Aggression Era days. Seeing CMPunk turning heel was wild. Raw 1000 was definitely a great episode.
The Raw 1000 intro is one I STILL go back and watch. Gets me emotional loool especially the section that’s focusing on deaths and retirements 😮💨

This was during the time I was at my peak wrestling fan point when I was 8. I started watching right after WrestleMania 28 and was almost addicted for months. My older brother was in a baseball all star tournament and had a game on his birthday, July 23rd. His team lost and I rushed everybody in my family to leave so we can get home on time. After probably 2-4 hours, I got to watch the whole thing live.
I remember so many parts of this show specifically. Road Dogg saying “The Road Dogg Jesse James! The Bad BEEP Billy Gunn!” The wedding pastor saying “MAArIge!” in a very unique articulation. Rock saying Daniel Bryan looks like a homeless lumberjack banged an oompaloompa. Lita and the APA coming out and Heath Slater being very not happy about the latter. Undertaker coming out to help Kane. And OF COURSE the great video package at the top of the show with great moments of the first 20 years of Raw like Christian and Chris Jericho talking about shrinkage. And I was pissed at Big Show for DQing the match. I’m perfectly fine with a DQ finish for wrestling matches, doesn’t always ruin a match cause it’s good for protecting everyone and progressing a story, but the main event deserved its run. 2012 Big Show with the damn wool beanie and iron clad contract may be the most infuriating version of him for me. But he’s a legit legend whom I’m a big fan of
This holds a special place in my heart because it was on my birthday, i remember it vividly, I was turning 10 it was pouring rain and my cousins came over to watch it with me and my brother it was awesome

I still remember this episode …I skipped school that day to watch raw but i didn’t knew it was 1000th episode….it was like 4pm-8pm here in India..also I used to watch wwe vintage collection and I saw all the legends on that episode of raw and was so excited and happy ( can’t describe in words) ..i still remember when Brock broke Shawn Michaels hand , I was so sad but that episode was something else ❤❤
This episode was what got me back into wrestling, up until 2014 when Cm punk left & Daniel bryan lost his title due to injury. Didnt watch again until four years ago when Edge returned at the Royal Rumble
when i was a kid my mom would make me go to bed before i could watch any wwe, or my siblings would want to watch anything else. however for this one night, my mom let me stay up to watch the 1000th episode and that will forever be one of my favorite childhood memories
This show is so special for me, I saw it live here in Mexico in the channel TVC Deportes with me oldest brother, the show was amazing it was truly a great time

I remember being at the Raw before this because we just happened to be vacationing in Las Vegas visiting from the Netherlands. Obviously being at Raw live is a better memory for me, but Raw 1000 was the only one I ever got to watch live on tv, which also blew my mind at the time!

It was kind of hit and miss
We started off hot with the Randy and Triple H storyline
Until the matches happened and it didn't hit the mark
But Smackdown had a bunch of great moments in 2009
The rivalry of Punk and Jeff Hardy
Mysterio and Jericho
And the mid card and tag teams wasn't too bad
But Raw really didn't really have that one great moment that people remember
Although I love the I Quit match between John Cena and Randy Orton
But yeah
Nothing crazy on Raw happened that year personally

Man this was my favorite episode in Raw. Rock returns to challenge the wwe champ, Cm Punk being wwe champ for 300+ days, Daniel Bryan getting played at the wedding, AJ Lee becoming a general manager, John cena cashing in his briefcase, DX reunited, acolytes, and that fine ass sexy Lita😍😍😍 (older she gets the better), undertaker and Kane reunited once again, then Punk turns heel.
I also wasn’t really watching as hardcore at that point as I was before or would be after, but that was on my birthday so I felt obligated to watch 😂😂😂

I was at Raw 1000 live. My favorite part actually happened before the show. I made a sign for referee Charles Robinson (always had major respect for refs once I learned they do WAY more in the match than the 3 count). Lil Natch saw it and summoned me up to the barricade to autograph my sign.
I remember watching this as a kid. Watching the brother's of destruction together then punk heel turn to Rock. I was so pissed at Punk that time lmao. That was the time that Raw was carrying WWE and Smackdown has nothing due to Raw having Punk and Cena.
