I just added the denman to my routine and I'm blown away. I have gone from a 2C to a 3A. I took it down to 5 rows and use it for detangling in the shower and also styling. Glad to see it worked well for you.
It took me a while to find a rhythm with my Denman. At first I thought it was horrible for me, my hair was so whispy and frizzy. My hair is similar in texture to yours but it's much thinner due to medication caused hair loss. I finally found a technique in a video that recommended to pull the brush through and curl it under like you might with a straightner once upon a time (gasp!) I started doing this with less sections (literally just 3 or so because of my thin hair) and it works so well. My roots definitely aren't as full, but I use a lot less product, so my hair can go longer between washes. I have chronic pain and neck problems so my previous routine actually took a lot of effort to put product on in the shower, flip my head over, plop, etc. So Denman is actually my new "quick" routine since I can stay upright and I save my old routine for special occasions. Thanks for taking a look at it!
Yes, the curl under-technique really improves the performance of the brush. I've seen a video by PrincesaJay who did a side by side comparison and I was sold!
In Liquid Color yes! Me too! I was a nurses aid and had a neck injury back in 08 (and other chronic issues/osteo, fibro, etc) and this whole hanging your head upside down stuff is KILLING ME. You’re the first I’ve seen to have a similar issue!
@In Liquid Color I'm also a subscriber of yours and a watercolor artist. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome with chronic neck and back pain, and a curly girl, too but with shorter hair. How sweet having a little meet-up here with several other curly-girl artists!
I love this brush. I can't believe a brush can make such a difference. I have wavy hair and this brush is amazing in giving me tighter curls. It's magic and I'm so glad I bought it.
You hair looks great! However, with a bit of practice and a slight change of technique you can even bring more curl/clumps. If you ever used the gdh flat iron styling tool before CGM it is actually a similar technique when you used a flat iron to make curls. Instead of using the brush in a flat downward motion actually start turning the brush as you go down the shaft of the hair and at the very end of the hair strand flick it under as if you were trying to curl it. Hope that makes sense. Then the next thing you can do is, after the hair comes out of the brush I shake that section gently. And wow that really causes a nice springy curl to form. You will get even more definition of your curls. And yes at first the shrinkage is a bit shocking but it is worth the awesomeness of the curls. Try it because in my opinion, the way you were using the brush it was stretching out the hair too much in a straight line. At first I was like oh nooo she did it wrong it isn't going to work. However, you got surprising good results for the way you did it - so if you were to just adjust those two things I think your hair will be even more gorgeous! Which in your case is actually hard to top! Love your videos! Hi from Munich! xo
Hey Betty!! Thank you so much for the information. I’ll try it again. That was my first time ever using it. I’ll probably make a 2nd video with your tips :)
I am 42 and this is the brush my Mum always used on us kids and swore was the best for detangling with the least amount of tears. As an adult I have just continued to use this in my curly hair - inadvertently doing something right - yay! I could never ever finger detangle my hair - it’s just too dry and frizzy. I just started the curly girl method maybe a month ago and have found your videos so helpful- so thanks - and I hope you and your gorgeous family are well 😘
GiLl2De My Mom has one when I was a kid, too! I LOVED it and would sneak into her bathroom to use it whenever I could! (Incidentally, I had straight-ish hair as a kid.)
I bought one at a thrift store when I was 8 or so. I used it for like a decade and loved it for detangling, which is why I’m surprised to see so many warnings not to detangle with it. It works far better than brushes with plastic tips that snag at my hair!
I only use my brush about 1 time per week and I use a generic one from Walmart. I noticed you didn’t roll the brush as you combed through. Doing it that way so your hair glides along the back of the brush. I found doing that gave me good clumps. 👍🏼
Thanks for the demo! Been so curious about this brush.Hope you are doing ok since your miscarriage. Losing a baby comes with such a mix of emotions and good and hard days. Thanks for allowing yourself to be real on YT, against any criticism. I’ve been watching you since you had 2k followers and have gleaned so much from your CG journey. 💗
Curly Susie Oh Susie I didn’t know (I’m new here) I am so sorry hon. Losing a child is awful, my son (he was 8) we lost from cancer back in 07. Sending you a big huge hug.
I'm so glad you liked it! I adore mine. It really helps me get the look I want consistently. I actually apply all my product first, and then I go back and do a swipe with the brush in smaller sections. I have low density hair, so it doesn't take long at all. I think of it like when you use a scissor blade to curl a balloon ribbon. I think your results were the best I've seen them!
I chuckled when you mentioned the 70s Denman aesthetic because I think it was 1977 when I was first given one of these by my mom. She and my older sister (both curly) each had one so I joined the club. I felt sooo cool and grown up! 😉I've gone through many over the years and am amused that suddenly it's all the rage. Nothing new under the sun, huh? Really enjoyed your demo and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with the less experienced curly girls and boys!
my Mama used one similar to this one on my hair back in the 70s so I thought it was a riot that you said it had a 70s feel....I use As I AM CoWash and LOVE it!
To make your hair clump more, try taking every other row of bristles out. Penny Tovar did a tutorial on it and it worked. Just a suggestion. Thank you for all you do!! It’s very helpful and appreciated 🤘🏻🦋🦋
Hey Kerrie! This was my first time trying the brush & I got lots of great suggestions/feedback. I took the rows out like you mention & really curled my hair around the brush & Wow! Even better.
I did try the Denman brush once or twice but didn't find much of a difference. The hairdresser I use in Glasgow (Scott at Belle & Blackley) uses a Tangle Teezer in order to distribute products but the noise of that going through my hair sets my teeth on edge! I'm finding I'm stepping back from the curly girl method a little. I'm more often co-washing my hair and conditioning/detangling then leaving it to air dry on it's own without products. Doing this I'm getting nice natural waves that last a few days. Whereas following CGM I get awesome curls but they fall out by the end of the day and no amount of refreshing is helping my day two hair - it just looks a stringy mess. :(
Hello Susie 😊 Ashleigh from the UK here, I am new to embracing my 2a - 3a natural hair. Watching your videos have really helped so as I bought my Denman brush today, of course I came to watch you. The brush now states that it is "best for control and defining wet curls" ... 2 years after you made this video. I particularly like your make it simple approach and you explain things really well. Love your accent BTW. I will let you know how I get on after watching 😊😊😊😊😊 thank you for sharing
I just have to compliment your eyebrows ( your hair is always gorgeous) . Now your eyebrows are balanced because they begin where the corner of your eyes begin.... so lovely just like the rest of you.... inside and out!!❤️
I love my Denmen brush! I use it much differently than most people. I use it after I apply my leave in after squish to condish to brush the frizzy pieces back into place and re-clump my hair then I plop for an hour with a microfiber towel. Then I apply my products (Mielle deep definition curling custard and the biotera gel) air dry for 30 minutes, diffuse and then root clip. Works wonders!
I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Cost me a pretty penny ($25 - Australian dollars!) fair bit for a brush. The daiso brush worked the exact same and that was $2.80 aud
I love my Denman Brush! I've had it for years. I use it sometimes in a rotating motion with sections of wet hair to create ringlets that just won't stop.
Just purchased this brush for my daughters hair on thursday and love it! Bending your wrist as you get to the end, like when you curl a ribbon helps for a great curl. Then I hold the mid shaft of the section and give a little wiggle/jiggle. I was recommended to wait to use gel until after you’ve used the brush. Haven’t tried it with gel first to see a difference for myself yet. Wish I could share a before and after picture bec it’s amazing! Thanks for your tutorial! Your videos are what I send to anyone who asks about CGM ♥️
This brush has been around for decades. My husband had it when we started dating 35 years ago. And that brush lasted up until about 5 years ago. I couldn’t find in the stores to replace it. But I’ll order one for my husband. He loved the brush. And I’ll give it a try on my routine.
I took it down to 5 rows and it did the wrap technique I saw someone else do... great results try it ! I have waist length hair btw and always sleep in a pineapple with a coil elastic . Thank You for this video and I look forward to more!
I just learned about the denman brush, and I was wondering what my favorite curly girl thought about it. And here you are just a few days later with a video review on it! I took the plunge already and bought one today at Sally’s. 🤞 it gives me nice curls.
I'm apprehensive about using this because my curls are so tempermental. I generally detangle my hair with my fingers in the shower, and if I over do it, (like if I detangle my hair with cowash in it using my wide tooth comb, then with my fingers and leave in conditioner) my hair dries stringy, even if I diffuse. But I love your results, Susie.
I'm 56 years old and it's been only three months ago that i finally got sick of my messy mop and decided to figure out how to properly care for it. I literally just found out about this brush just about an hour ago from watching your video. I'm curious now, what difference does the 9 vs the 7 rows make? If you look at my avatar you'll see what curl I have...which one would you suggest? I have gone to other channels about this and nobody explains this, so I decided to come back to your channel and ask you. Thank you in advance!
If you pull the brush through your hair in sections and turn it as if you were straightening your hair (the way you use a straightener to make curls) it makes crazy good clumps.
This is really interesting. My mum has always used a Denman brush so will have to try this next time we visit my parent. Like you I like to keep things as simple as possible so it's great you don't use a ton of products and really time consuming routine!
I tried it just 2 days back. Curls looked good and as you said, the frizz control was amazing. Went to a party with day 2 hair without needing any refresh. I normally have to refresh every day coz of the frizz.
Just spotted as I am products in Walmart and I am so excited to try all of these! I finally decided to stop fighting my hair and try this. The frizz is real.
Susie enjoy your honest and to the point, no nonsense videos. I would watch to hear your adorable accent any day 😊. My hair is very similar to yours only you have more hair. Just purchased that brush and had great improvement in clumping and product distribution! Love it. One video I watched (sorry don't recall who it was), a gal brushed same way, head down soaking wet hair and brushing from underneath and as you glide the brush down scalp to ends, do a curve as if to do a flip. It really made a clumping difference and also the curl was more defined....make any sense?😑 Thank you keep up your great work!
I think I have hair similar to yours! I always brushed my hair a bunch and tied it down while drying so I never saw it’s natural curl. I lose my curls easily if I comb it dry, too. Now I have a little hope that I might be on the right track with my hair after all. You look great, and I hope you’re feeling well and taking care of yourself!
I’m so glad you mentioned that your curls are “fragile” because mine are too- my hair seems to be very similar to yours - so I have written off using a brush to distribute or even a wide tooth comb for the same reasons you stated. But your results are greet!
My waves are super fragile, like you're describing. I can’t touch my hair without breaking my curls up. I might try this to see if they might last longer with better product distribution. Ty for the review.
I bought one a while back, but I mostly used it to get the knots out of the nape of my neck because it knots up so badly there that I can't get them out with my fingers. I must have gotten the cheapest one at Amazon because the rose don't come out! I've been hearing that you can use it to style your curls, but I haven't really figured out how to do that, so I'm going to watch some of the videos people have posted below and see if I can make it work. Thanks for this video! I think your hair looks great!
I will definitely try it after watching this. My curls are somewhat “fragile” like yours so I was hesitant to try it but I am fighting frizz and uneven product distribution all the time so I think this will work great. I wish my hair had a bigger curl pattern like yours. Your spirals are so pretty!
70’s look🤣🤣. So funny, you are. I’m with you Susie, I condition 1st then detangle with my fingers. To evenly, work the product through my fine hair, I have a lot of it, I started using a wide tooth comb. Minimal breakage. The spacing of the teeth really determined how light and fluffy or thick and clumpy my curls turned out. I agree using the comb/brush minimizes frizz. Thanks for the awesome video!
Honestly, I think your hair looks much better the way your normally style it. Like perfection normally, where this is ok for someone who doesn't normally have incredible hair.
I was just looking at buying this brush recently. I think my wide tooth comb in the shower to brush product through will continue to work well for me. Thanks for the review!
Hello Curly Susie, I love your videos and your curls. Many Thanks! Have 2c -3a curls and I test since almost everything I read about curls. The Denmanbrush works wonderfully with me but ONLY when I use a generous portion of Giovanni weightless LI under the styler as LI. After I have brushed a respective lot I still shake the strand of hair. This helps to bundle the hair. With this routine, I get more curls and less frizz than without this brush. But really ONLY with this LI ... I can not explain it but with all other LI's with me after the brushing the bundling smaller instead of thicker. Maybe my tip would also help you ... Greetings from Germany and I'm looking forward to more videos.
Your hair looks great. Thanks for reviewing this brush-oh and for the Bioterra gel info. My hair gets buildup so fast and the Bioterra doesn’t build up like that. I appreciate the truthful tips for those of us who need a quicker morning routine! Thank you.
Susie Your hair looks beautiful. I bought into the Deman brush hype too but like you I wasn't overly impressed and I agree, it does shrink the curl. A friend of mine owns a salon and gave me a "Wet" brush and I like it so much better. In fact, I have 2. Its much cheaper and doesn't cause shrinkage. Also like you my curls are fragile so I could see a noticeable between the two brushes. You might want to give the wet brush a try.
This is crazy....I bought a Denman brush TODAY and come home to relax and see what the RUclipsrs I subscribe to posted and here this video is!! Glad you liked it....I will be trying it tomorrow !
Susie, I used mine this morning after putting my gel in, like you did....and my gel didn't cast! A very, very soft cast, but I usually get a nice crunchy cast. Did yoy happen to run into that too?
I laughed when you said the brush looked like a 70s type. I was using this brush in the late 70s! 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for these vids. I'm 58 and have hair very similar to yours. I'm just about to start the CGM. Am I scared and worried? Absolutely. But your vids are really helping. A massive thank you from a curly dinosaur. 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Um, going to take a while to get my head around this. First, my mum used to brush my DRY hair with a brush like that as a kid. Flashbacks to puffball hair and it HURT! 😰I used to brush/ comb through on wet hair and it always dried really flat and lacking volume and definition on my 2c/3a hair. And I've just gotten used to NOT using a brush with the CG method. 😂 Thanks for the great video though. It's a process and it's always nice to see others trying out new things on the CG journey.
I actually use after I squish in my conditioner and it works amazing. So I’ll condition, pin it up, let it sit, barely rinse it, (head upside down the entire time) then squish my conditioner in, add products, then use the denman, squish it up again. Love it this way.
You’re hair is so beautiful!! I’ve used this brush off and on for a couple of years. I use it to detangle, mostly so the menfolk in the house don’t complain about all the hair in the shower 😂. I do like the way it spreads the conditioner. I need to experiment more with combing through product.
Was so excited to see a video from you! I can tell it definitely made your curls more defined. I have the brush too and am still trying to find how to use it best for my hair. I am going to give your method a shot next!
I had a similar experience as you. I felt the products went on more evenly. I had less frizz too. My issue was that I kept dropping the brush since my hands were wet with cream/gel. Maybe if I get better at holding the brush and sectioning my hair I’ll use it more often. As it is, I feel that it is a little too much trouble for the results. Maybe I’ll get better. Thanks for the review!
I had the same issue with the brush flying across the bathroom. I now keep a towel and wipe my hands in between every section - a pain but I can't stand that sticky feeling on my hands.
I tried my daughters Denman brush, and i wasn't a fan of it. My daughter uses it every wash day. Oh!! i think you're going to Love, the As I Am Coconut Cowash, One of my favorites!
I am so happy I stumbled across your channel. My hair and yours could be twins. At first I thought, oh well here's another woman with curlier hair than mine. I'll never get mine to look that great again because I've straightened it and let it dry out. But...when I watched a few of your videos, I noticed that your morning hair, your post-wash cowash hair, all of it, looks just like mine! There's hope!! Haha! I'm going to follow your list of to-dos (or not-to-dos) and give my curl some time. Thank you!!
Tried to buy one but the delivery date was soooo far away due to Covid......didn't know you could take out some of the rows....good to know. Also just wanted to say hello to a fellow caper!
Your the first curly hair person who has popped up that actually seems to have the same similar hair to me aka white girl curls, especially the per wash picture! And I have seen the really curly ( I think of them as Irish Jewish or bi racial women’s curl although of course that isn’t the point and I forgot the number/letter terms) the clumping of the curls and de frizzingmight be a bigger deal. I rarely ( x2 yearly) brush my hair, wide tooth comb in the shower full of conditioner , So all I could think during your video was this would just add so much time and then you said it!!!
Lovely curls as always! Just wanted to tell you that I tried shea butter JBCO leave in mixed with Bioterra gel and I got nice softest curls ever with this I also tired the Pacifica pineapple curls shampoo and conditioner it’s really good! Thanks again! For some reason the products which work for you works well for me too :)
Walmart also sells the Denman brush. Curious to see what you think, I wasn’t impressed. I love my comb in the shower to detangle. After watching I have to give it another try. Thanks for the video
It's not just using the brush itself, but how you use it. As you brush the product through you're supposed to rotate it as if it's a curling iron. That's how you get big clumps and curls.
I just bought a denman a couple weeks ago. I definitely have not found it to help with clumping or curling but i like how it puts product through. I've only been doing curly girl for a month though so I'm thinking my hair just hasn't found its curl yet and the brush isn't magic. I took out every second row as it seemed thats what everyone says to do but i may try putting them back to try. 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for continuing to show us different options. You're my favorite "curly" and I love that you represent us Canadian gals too, even if you can somehow still manage to get products I can't find here in the west. Thats my biggest frustration watching curly girl videos.
Great to see you!!!! Been toying with trying this... thanks for the video!!!! I’d love to see you review the Curlmix Avocado Moisturizers and Flaxseed gels. I have 2c/3a curls and I’m HOOKED!!!!
Curly Susie, your eye makeup is perfect in this video, as well as your hair. We have the same hair type and we use the same gel. I use my gel with living proof curl cream. Can you share the eye shadow and eyeliner that you used in this video? It is so beautiful.
Hey, loved the video! I found that the brush was worth it but like you, I like to get ready as fast as possible so I don’t use it daily. If you take video suggestions, could you try doing the method of roping product through like powerdomi does on instagram? She has a few videos in her instaprofile (under the button igtv) where she demonstrates her product application, diffusing, and sotc. I don’t have great curls on the top part of my hair but with her method, my curls start at my roots now and I’ve gotten lots of compliments.
Is your hair high porosity? It's amazing that there's still a lot of water in it (at least it looks saturated) when you scrunch after applying the products! Mine doesn't hold that much water at all. P.s I'm so excited to see your India Batson video! She is the first curly youtube I ever watched and she inspired me to start the CGM! I found your channel soon after ☺️
Thank you for this video, Susie! I bought the Denman a few years ago after reading about it on Naturally Curly, but I had no idea how to use it, so I gave it away. I am definitely going to give it another shot, so off to Amazon I go! Oh, and that’s +1 on the awesome brows!
I just added the denman to my routine and I'm blown away. I have gone from a 2C to a 3A. I took it down to 5 rows and use it for detangling in the shower and also styling. Glad to see it worked well for you.
I’m gonna take a couple of rows out next time.
Same with my hair! Areas that would just frizz now are nice and curly, and it was very easy to use. I'm glad I finally gave it a chance!
These reviews make me wanna try it so bad!
When you take the rows out, will you do a quick video discussing that ... I'm a visual learner and the videos are very helpful!
Rachel Walker Me too! ☝🏼😊

I just got my Denman brush & used it for the first time this morning. I love it! I didn’t expect such good results and I’m so pleased.
I took it down to 5 rows and it did the wrap technique I saw someone else do... great results try it ! I have waist length hair btw and always sleep in a pineapple with a coil elastic . Thank You for this video and I look forward to more!
Your eyebrow looks so nice today! It frames ur face so nicely!
Great demo! I just used mine for the first time today. I noticed a difference with the frizz control as well. Yay!
Fellow Canadian!! I am just starting my CG journey. Thanks for giving me Canadian options to buy!!
I love the denman brush I started using it like a month ago, I use it in the shower after I apply my conditioner, and after I plop before my products.
I just learned about the denman brush, and I was wondering what my favorite curly girl thought about it. And here you are just a few days later with a video review on it! I took the plunge already and bought one today at Sally’s. 🤞 it gives me nice curls.
Your eyebrows look great Susie
Yes! They really do!!
I was just going tru comments to see if anybody else spot it as well 😊 your eyebrows looks great👌
I'm apprehensive about using this because my curls are so tempermental.
I’ve tried it the way you suggested and in smaller sections since I made this video and you are right... big difference.
Wow, you are so clear! Love the high def quality!
Thank you Tracey! New camera :)
I love every moment watching your videos.
I bought that same brush a couple days ago but haven't tried it yet, I'm glad you made this video!
OMG..I have been doing my naturally curly hair so wrong...thanks curly girls for helping me embrace being a curly girl
Glad to see this video. I was considering purchasing this brush but really wanted to know how it worked for you.
I think your hair looks nice. Thank you for the honest review, and tips.
I just got a new denman brush and it works really well I love my defined curls and more added volume😃
Ariana Star - my hair is fine also. Do u use it w/ all the rows or did u take some out? Thx.
kristine Kerr-I don’t use the brush. I use a very wide tooth comb, but if I had a the brush I would removed some rows and see what works for my curls.
Honestly, I think your hair looks much better the way your normally style it. Like perfection normally, where this is ok for someone who doesn't normally have incredible hair.
I'm new to CGM and just wanted to say you are SO helpful! I'm loving all of your videos. Thank you so much!
I was just looking at buying this brush recently. I think my wide tooth comb in the shower to brush product through will continue to work well for me. Thanks for the review!
Hey Heather. I made this video today & I have to say that my hair looked even better a few hours after I made the video. It is definitely worth a try.
@@CurlySusie ah thanks for your honest feedback! I guess I can always return if it doesnt work out for me!
I used a wide tooth comb before switching to the Denman. It made a noticeable difference for me. I did take mine down from 9 rows to 5.
Susie! Your eyebrows are amazing. You were beautiful before and now you are VERY beautiful. Thanks for the great videos.
Great Video. Step by step 👍It's a great brush for smooth hair , frizz control , tighter curl's 👍 ❤️ it's definitely a tool to have. Nice Job
Hey Kristen. I loved it. My hair looks even better now hours after the video. I have a lot more volume.
Thank you so much for these vids. I'm 58 and have hair very similar to yours. I'm just about to start the CGM. Am I scared and worried? Absolutely. But your vids are really helping.
A massive thank you from a curly dinosaur. 💕💕💕💕💕💕
I just started using one a week ago. I think a haircut is the only thing that can fix the curls on my head.
Thank you Suzie for showing us this video it's been very helpful xx
I detangle with a Denman brush with condish in my hair. I'm going to try using it with gel. I'm amazed at the no-frizzies.
Your hair looks fabulous Susie!
Thank you 💕💕
Your finished hair looks amazing. I can’t wait to try mine. Thanks for the description.
Yay! I was just thinking of you & hoping you’d upload. I’m still trying to decide whether to purchase that brush.
We Are Legion do it!
Thanks for this demo. I’ve been seeing the denman brush all over social media but didn’t quite understand how to incorporate it into my routine
You just made me give in to buying the Denman brush!
My hair is very similar to yours. Awesome video, thank you! 🥰
I just got one and love it too! I got the 9 row, took out 4 and it’s perfect! I get virtually no frizz when I use it.
I actually use after I squish in my conditioner and it works amazing. So I’ll condition, pin it up, let it sit, barely rinse it, (head upside down the entire time) then squish my conditioner in, add products, then use the denman, squish it up again. Love it this way.
I was just wondering about that tool. Thanks Susie!!
You look so pretty even without makeup. I’m so jealous. ☺️
Omg your unstyled hair is exactly the same as mine, finally I've found someone with the same texture!
Thank you!!
Thank you for explaining everything so clearly!!! Just got mine today I can't wait to use it but I want to make sure I get it right
After watching your review I just order my brush, I trust your opinion. Thank you !!!
My hair actually looked even better as the day went on... my curls had a smooth look to them. Love it
Tried to buy one but the delivery date was soooo far away due to Covid......didn't know you could take out some of the rows....good to know. Also just wanted to say hello to a fellow caper!
Your the first curly hair person who has popped up that actually seems to have the same similar hair to me aka white girl curls,
especially the per wash picture!
And I have seen the really curly ( I think of them as Irish Jewish or bi racial women’s curl although of course that isn’t the point and I forgot the number/letter terms) the clumping of the curls and de frizzingmight be a bigger deal.
I rarely ( x2 yearly) brush my hair, wide tooth comb in the shower full of conditioner ,
So all I could think during your video was this would just add so much time and then you said it!!!
Your hair turned out great! I've been wondering how that brush works. You've convinced me to give it a go. Thank you for explaining the brush.
I just visited Nova Scotia and I'm planning my return. You live in a georgous place!
That's how you get big clumps and curls.
seitanismycopilot thanks looks like I need to watch a few videos on how to use, do you have a suggestion? Thanks for feedback 💕
@@JessacaRedd yes check out this one it's a great turorial skip to about the 3:12 mark

Also here's one that focuses specifically on getting huge clumps

@@littlemissink that actually works great the curling motion as you glide through! Saw a video somewhere.
Well... You sold me on it. I've been considering trying this and after seeing your results I'm definitely willing to give it a try
So excited to see a Denman tutorial on someone who has fragile curls like mine! Where does your hair stand on the whole fine vs coarse spectrum?
I just bought a denman a couple weeks ago. I definitely have not found it to help with clumping or curling but i like how it puts product through. I've only been doing curly girl for a month though so I'm thinking my hair just hasn't found its curl yet and the brush isn't magic. I took out every second row as it seemed thats what everyone says to do but i may try putting them back to try. 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for continuing to show us different options. You're my favorite "curly" and I love that you represent us Canadian gals too, even if you can somehow still manage to get products I can't find here in the west. Thats my biggest frustration watching curly girl videos.
Wow! Your hair looks beautiful!
Looks amazing. Zero frizz for sure.
I may have to try it again. I have used it 2x and I've not been happy.
"A 70s feel"...I love it and I agree. I also turn to Curly Sue and her videos because she is smart, pragmatic, and down-to-earth :-)
Thanks for the review of the Denman brush. This is something I’m interested in and considering buying. Great timing for posting this video.💕
Wow your hair looks amazing and there is no frizz!
Also you're supposed to spin the brush as you pull the brush through, rotate it like a curling iron to get the clumps.

You look so amazing in this video! You always do but you look so well rested and your skin looks great! Skincare routine please!
