Putting Kang front and center was a mistake in the first place. It took what like, 12 movies before we even saw Thanos and he was only in two movies after that. If they had led up to Kang in a similar way they would have had more time to tell the story. Instead of just throwing everything at the way and hoping something stuck.

Johnathan Majors performance in Loki season 1 and 2 was everything 😭😭 and Kang definitely wasn’t the reason Quantumania underperformed. His character development was the only reason I watched it 😂
I guess I was the only person on this planet that was as excited for Kang Dynasty as I was for Endgame, especially after Loki S1&2, Doc Str 2 and post credits of Quanatamania. I at the very least want to see the initial script for Kang Dynasty

What you were saying about two versions of Doom is interesting. The 616 Doom could face a crisis of self, having him wonder whether that's his destiny. Not all enemies have to be God-level. So for 616 Doom to see this alternate Doom, it would be terrifying... or maybe awe-inspiring. Maybe the theme of 616 Doom being destined to be greater could be a thread that runs. How does the F4 avoid that? Is this potential destiny something that 616 Doom wants? What does this mean for what's left of "616" post-Secret Wars? Will a defeated Doom leave the groundwork for his 616 self to take his place, even if he doesn't want it? Lots of open questions. Lots of possibilities. I'm really looking forward to these movies.

I agree that kang isn't what was bad about quantumania. There was a lot of bad there, but it wasn't kang. I still believe majors should be kang and they should move forward with the kang storyline. Kang needs to be done right and so does Dr doom.

Nikoli W from game of thrones needs to be cast as Dr Doom! He can do the image and accent perfectly and is about the same age and has acted along with Pedro Pascal on GOT. The two together will really sell the friendship & enemy dynamic to their relationship

I think it's fine if they choose to drop Kang, considering how Loki Season 2 wrapped up that storyline pretty well, but giving us God Emperor Doom so soon would be a huge mistake. I'd much rather see 616 Doctor Strange or Scarlett Witch as the main villain with Loki serving as the Beyonder-esque character that needs to create Battleworld and clean up the (Poly)Multiverse. If not Loki, I think The Watcher could fill that role quite well.

What are you talking about, Loki szn 2 didn’t wrap up the storyline at all😂it barely wrapped up he who remains and left a huge cliffhanger for the future of other Kang variants. Mobius says it looks like Antman took care of a variant which we obviously know isnt the case, and there’s still a thousand questions about who he who remains really is and how he built the TVA and where tf the TVA is even located and why renslayer was important in the war, also wtf is up with the mystery of who came first …OB or Timely and literally a million other questions, so idk what’s next🤷🏾♂️
I bet they will say that Lokis tva is containing the Kang threat until they decide on a replacement actor. My pick is still Coleman Damingo. But this will open the way for Doom. Unless they say that he was the one to annihilate Kang.
Doom should not be a main villain till he gets build up
he can be built up in a series of cameos in strategically placed spots in all the movies leading up to Avengers 5/6...hell give him his own D+ special to fill in gaps...just cause he is defeated in Secret Wars doesn't mean his time is over....once the reboot happens post SW, you can actually have him firmly in place as the ruler of Latveria and ready to engage all the heroes...and that blasted RICHARDS

Avengers 5 and 6 should be Secret Wars, Part 1 and 2. That's how fast the plot should move forward after the DP and WV teaser.

They should of made Kang and Dr doom as the villains for the multiverse phase it would of made more sense and the stories would of been way better

If the Void is where everything goes to be forgotten, maybe the 2015 Secret Wars comic tease in Deadpool is a bait and switch.
Maybe the real MCU Avengers Secret Wars will be an adaptation of the classic 1985 Secret Wars comic.
Therefore, we’d get a Doctor Doom where we don’t have to worry about him becoming GodDoom to soon, since that doesn’t happen in the 1985 Secret Wars (which happens to have Kang alongside Doom and Galactus to name a few).
They really should’ve dropped some aggressive Easter eggs in Wakanda Forever about Dr. Doom low-key being behind the drilling for vibranium. Would’ve been a smoother transition to build up Doom into a Thanos level threat.
Kang needs to be Colman Domingo, Denzel or mostly written out and left for dead from Quantumania. Enough of the 99.9% CGI movies like Quantumania (until Avengers 5). Time to get back closer to “real world” sets. Can’t wait for Deadpool 3, Thunderbolts, Cap 4 and Fantastic 4

I agree with everything said here. It takes time to build a character you want to keep around for awhile. They should continue the Kang story, but just make it shorter and finish it off right.

Pingo Doce next to Dr. Doom/Secret Wars. Pingo Doce was in Tne Incredible Hulk---> the origin of The Leader---> The Leader is in The Thunderbolts movie ---> so the bottle next to the comic = The Leader is working with or for Dr. Doom.

Building on your idea of 2 Dooms, the FF film variant can be the key to defeating the God Emperor variant, working along side his rival, Reed. That would go well with a complex character who is redeemable and only an antagonist by necessity. He come out at the end as a kind of martyr status.

Agent Of Asgard ended with Loki as the God Of Stories meeting Those Who Sit Above In Shadow (who Loki theorized might be the Beyonders). And now that he's the God Of Stories in the MCU, and we're moving away from Kang towards Doom, perhaps we'll see him face the "Beyonders" again while trying to save everyone in Secret Wars (we need to get him out of that Multiverse tree somehow) 🙂
Keep Kang as main villain for Avengers 5 (include Rama Tut, Immortus variants). Then shift to Dr. Doom for Avengers 6 as baddie, maybe have him kill off Kang. Agreed though that Victor Von Doom needs to be introduced & explored more in FF.

A really cool cameo for die hard comic book fans would be Jonathan Hickman himself. They could put a meta spin on the comic and say how it’s a retelling of events as he experienced them or something.

i liked youre ideas on how to make god emperor doom, but the way loki ended, they dont really have to dive back into kang it ended and all was fixed. loki is more interesting of a character now.
HOT TAKE:
Doctor Doom should’ve been the big bad of this saga from the start. He’s way bigger than just an F4 villain even if he’s known best for that feud. He’s such an incredible character. If Doom is done right, then personally; I think he could be as much of a legacy character to the MCU (or MCM now?) lore to RDJ’s Tony, Chris Evan’s Steve etc.

I feel like the Marvel Studios problem with Kang in Quantunmania is not that he's bad, is that people didn't look at him as to being in par with Thanos. He wasn't frightening. Most people don't look at Kang after Quantunmania thinking: "wow, that's the next big bad". And you can only make a powerful first impression once!

I agree with you so much, it’s weird to me that like you said they’re ignoring how good the story of Kang was in Loki then pointing to Quantumania and saying Kang is the reason that movie failed when in reality that movie failed because of poor writing.
Or! And hear me out here. We tie it to the comics and boost comic sales even more by having THE MAKER do the construction of battle world. Sure doom is involved but Evil Reed is pulling the strings. Just like that, the cinematic and comics multiverse are directly connected.
I believe the best way of them explaining how they got rid of all the kangs would be from the TVA pruning him out…..😢 that’s what I thought they were doing at the end of Loki season 2
