What was your favorite joke in the 2016 Deadpool movie?
All of them
Peter
All of the blind jokes 😭💀
the balls in holes joke
The entirety of the opening credits.
Beast shitting on dead pools lawn and running away would have been the funniest joke in movie history
😂
What if we let 10yo write a movie
You know... the reason I think deadpool works so well is because Ryan Reynolds is ridiculously passionate about the character... and given his knowledge of the comics and the background of the character - I'm certain he can just be Deadpool without a script half the time. Also - it just works so well with Ryan Reynolds that Deadpool constantly breaks the 4th wall in the comics, allowing Ryan Reynolds to play with all the humor and turn it up to 11... it's such a masterpiece.
except Deadpool others are not really comic accurate
Comic Deadpool shaped Ryan Reynolds to be live action Deadpool how does tht 4th wall breaking motherfuqr do it 😂😂😂
Deadpool movie did NOT disappoint! We couldn't ask for a better actor to play Deadpool.
The improvised lines are the best.
This movie has aged like a fine wine!
All the riffing and "didn't age well" stuff is still funny every time
What didn't age well?
Obviously the “traveling to exotic places, meeting people and killing them” is *_100%_* a nod to _Private_ _Joker’s_ *_very_* similar line in *_”Full_* *_Metal_* *_Jacket”_*
& Kill Bill
I worked for AMC when this came out and the post credits became of one my all time favorites because he calls out out people not throwing out the garbage as a "Dick move" and I actually saw people walk back to their seats to grab their trash and throw it away. On behalf of theater ushers everywhere, Deadpool, we salute you.
Americans have become too comfortable with themselves but big ups to Ryan for doing this.
@@BioHazard2103no but Americans have gotten comfortable with leaving trash and everything they used out because it’s the “workers job” to clean it.
@@BioHazard2103there is other places besides America?
@@GHOST22x02 no he's just crazy
I dont know if it's just me, but this whole thing of trying to quantify Deadpool's 4th wall breaking as some special power that makes him a nexus being, like it really doesn't go right with me, he can break the fourth wall, let's just enjoy that without dropping in a lot of timey wobbly special cosmic powers or whatever 😂
wibbly wobbly timey wimey
On the Dead Pool chalk board, why did you skip Charlie Sheen? Hahaha
I was just coming to see if anyone else noticed lol
same. lol
@@ChrisCEdwards07
Same
I was today years old when I learned “snikt” was how Wolverine’s claws were captioned.
You must have never read a comic
Same how did I never noticed this
even if you didnt... its spoon fed and unfortunate that you couldnt decypher it
Wait til you find out about thwip and bamf
Shing
I still laugh at everything. Guess I don’t age well niether.
As a former Jacksonvillian, I always love when you make reference to it. DUUUUUUVAAAAALLLLLLL
904 LET’S GOOOOO
But seriously why’d you leave??
@@NewRockstars Job offer I couldn't refuse! (Though certain politicians keep me away but, you know how it is)
Captain America does indeed say “Language” if you watch the DeadPool HISHE videos😂😅
The first song when his head hits the radio is a Mexican song
Ryan said T.J. is no longer his friend and wouldn't ever be in his movies ever again after he was up on SA charges just before the release of Deadpool 2
Really he says that?
@sophiawilson8696 yeah I think he did
I’m loving the 30+ minute videos
(Gasping) Glad you (gasp) love them!
@@NewRockstarsOh, we appreciate that you “can do this all day” 😂
When is our next Deep Dive 🥹
@@NewRockstars Gasping to pad the runtime is TIGHT!
I think the name on the phone dial was “Dr Killbrew”. I can make out the letter shape for kill in the first half, and it would make sense he would be in the contacts.
Outside of the early 00’s stuff, this movie got me into modern day comic book movies. Almost immediately after seeing this, I saw Civil War and pretty much fell in love with all of this.
I know people crap on post End Game stuff, but the MCU and everything building up to it was unlike anything that has ever happened. To have such a developed, interconnected universe, and to keep building it and actually follow through and pay it off. That was such a fun, nuts, gigantic undertaking. It really was special.
Yeah it’s gonna be hard for them to follow that as evidenced by the movies they have put out since. The actors and story line they had for the Infinity Saga story was absolutely top notch
@@vipe650r Absolutely! Phase 3 kicked it into maximum overdrive and really has carried us to this point. I have faith they’re gonna get it back on track
One of the soldiers didn't get out. If you pause just right at 33:37, you can see they're both wearing collars. It's a mutant fight club, like Angel and Nightcrawler were in in Age of Apocalypse.
Super hyped for Deadpool and Wolverine!!! Looking forward to revisiting this first one!!!
19:58 The dialogue is also a double joke twice, as Deadpool is *sideways* and it's thanks to *Colossus*
36:20 That was originally planned to be Super Prison known as "The Raft", but due to legal issues, they had to change it to just some scrapped helicarrier.
Tim Miller should direct the next live-action TMNT reboot
He understands CGI like none other
Great call
Either him or Gareth Edwards. Both are VFX guys who got into directing and always nail the CGI in their films. Although I’d say Tim Miller would be the better director even if Gareth Edwards is the better visual effects artist.
I don’t think there should be anymore LA TMNT…
It’s dope how well the Deadpool movies lead up to their MCU debut. A few happy accidents
What one liners don't work for you as I still laugh at them.
10:20 I have mixed feelings on this version of Colossus tbh. I think he's absolutely perfect for the Deadpool films, but he's not exactly what I hoped for in the X-Men tbch. The 3 main things I would personally like to see with Colossus are for him to:
1) be able to change back & form between his human & metal form
2) be in a relationship with Shadowcat
3) be able to do more serious storylines too. I'm not sure if I can picture the Deadpool version doing any of those things tbh - I feel like the Fox X-Men version (i.e. Daniel Cudmore) would've been a closer fit.
Agree
Also about the about the taken nightmare is actually kind of funny when you realise that those films star Famke Janssen who played Jean Grey in the first three X-Men films and DOFP
Love Deadool! Wasn't sure I wanted him in the MCU, but I'm definitely willing to give it a chance.
That rebar scene is actually referred to the Deadpool game as there is inside the scene where you as Deadpool are impalement with rebar
I'm so surprised how many people didn't know you were saying snikt snikt.
Also fun detail about the Deadpool Board, Weasel bet the most amount of money not only bet on Wade
So I believe the "like I made you in a computer" is a ref to the movie weird science. Great nerd film in the vein of Revenge of the Nerds. Something WW would absolutely be into
I wonder if the trainee reference was a reference to another one of Reynolds' movies he had been in, "Waiting..." Where he has a trainee assigned to him during his job as a waiter. Hmm.
I will never be the same after this movie
When I watched it right before the Super Bowl, Ryan Reynolds finished the Kubler-Ross line for Buck and says “No more speaking lines for you.”
You know I never noticed but that prototype Deadpool costume he wears the white one. Actually looks like fantomx from the comics who's also weapons plus
I always assumed the serum they gave him was inert, and they had to do the stress stuff to cause it to actually activate once inside Wade.
I hope Jackman is involved in the next two larger marvel movies, too!
He will and other variants aswell
This is the movie that got me started on watching this Channel since I wasn’t old enough to watch Deadpool yet. I felt so rebellious watching your original breakdown and am so happy to still be here all these years later. Good work guys thank you for everything.
24:13
*Catwoman* in *Batman Returns* (1992 film) also falls into a dump truck ironically full of cat litter.
*"Saved by kitty litter"*
(laughs)
*"Bastard!"*
14:38 ….this was also a line said by the character Joker from the film Full Metal Jacket.
At 15:59 under TJ millers name you can see an erased “Culkin, M” for Macaulay Culkin!
I remembered watching the trailers for Deadpool, I really wanted to go watch it until my parents found out it was Rated R
I was 9 to 10 years old at the time
Same
Damn i feel old
Deadpool is hilarious but I'm glad we got to see plenty of Wade out of the suit during this film too, especially because his relationship w/ Vanessa is so amazing. Plus, Ryan Reynolds is way too attractive & entertaining to be stuck in the suit the whole time lol.
It's crazy we're all the way to Deadpool on this (Snikt Snikt) rewatch!
People who think some things didnt age well after 8 years in this movie wouldnt be able to live back in the day and cant take jokes as they are
Like it hasnt even been a decade, hes saying it like its from the 60s or something lol
The first Deadpool is so good.
I might be reaching with this but the green lantern card at 4:47 is a "V Card", which might be a reference to Green Lantern being his first superhero film
Probably my favorite jokes/moments from this film is the lack of Xmen joke plus the end credits where Deadpool calls out people for not throwing away trash
This is hands down the funniest superhero film I’ve ever ever seen. So amazing.
Deadpool 3 could be an easy way to deal with Kang. Deadpool tells him something like, "Sorry bud. I had to axe TJ, now you've gotta join him." Then it cuts to Mephisto, played by John Tesh, torturing TJ in a special celebrity hell.
When Wade is secretly following Vanessa and he starts freaking out because he can hear everyone's voices, is that the exact moment that his ability to break the fourth wall emerges?
Like that was him first becoming self aware? I know he can actually hear people because they are literally talking, but I like to think that that was the moment he became self aware, partially because of his self consciousness with his deformaty but also because it's literally one of his powers. But my head canon is that this is the exact moment he becomes self aware.
I feel like at 23:42 the trainee reference is a nod to his character in the movie “Waiting”
i remember the first deadpool break down was the first new rockstars video i ever saw, erik did so well in that video i’ve been a fan ever since ❤
Soooo people must have been not understanding the "snikt" haha
SNIKT SNIKT! had me dying
Still don't understand what he's saying or what it means.
@@deggyfreshgaming It's the comic book SFX that plays when Wolverine reveals his claws.
@@deggyfreshgamingit's the onomatopoeia when wolverine takes out his claws.
Why'd he put so much emphasis on it this time compared to the other times?
@@lightningstrike14 People are probably commenting they have no idea what he's saying
The restaurant trainee joke has got to be a reference to Reynold’s movie Waiting…
The first song sounds like a cumbia song, the Batman transition sounds very similar to it
Hare’s something that just occurred to me. I guess in a way the position of Deadpool’s Two Katana Swards when he’s not using them, is in the shape of an ‘X’ and thus continuing the trend of every X Men movie having an ‘X’ for X Men
Like how at the end, theres the same amount of photos (in the same pattern) just like in ferris bueller.
Idk how he didn’t notice but both of the fighters had collars on
Didn’t know you were from Jacksonville!!! you’re my favorite one to watch of breaking down any movies or trailers! I grew up in the San Marco area and now out near the town center. That’s awesome man! Also them saying Jacksonville in this movie caught everyone offguard in the theater! Lol
“And then kill them” is a full metal jacket reference
I remember when that Orange Park AMC opened up. I was stationed in JAZ with the Navy. In fact, I was there the day the AMC opened. The showed a bunch of movies that had been released over the previous year or so for a quarter. I ended up watching 5th Element two or three times for less than a dollar.
I've been waiting all day for this
Nah the body bag scene should’ve stayed in though 😂😂💀
Great vid thanks!!
In X-MEN the animated series, Morph turned into Deadpool once in front of Wolverine...
I still believe Deadpool's 4th wall breaking is part of his mutation that he got from his X gene.
Dormant x gene!
XXX Gene
@@MrGenexxx That could be it🤭
Never had such a relatable moment watching your vids until you talked about the AMC theatre! Such a rundown spot for a TGI Fridays 😂 But lots of childhood memories for me
I really needed this movie when it came out, my Dad had passed away two days before opening Friday night and this movie was what I needed to laugh, cry and love. I'll always love this one, and I knew Ryan would be nominated for a Golden Globe for this movie as soon as it ended, I happened to be right.
Fun fact the actor who plays Buck in this movie officiated my sister wedding it was cool learning about his time on the set.
15:26 this made me whip my head around because I’m literally sitting in the parking lot of OP mall as I’m watching this🤣🤣
Still remember working at studio movie grill when this came out that intro is etched into my brain all time movie
In my head canon, the suggestion of The Rickster as the name of Ajax came from the Richard Schroeder and Erin Gray sitcom Silver Spoons.
I am from Jacksonville as well and it was nice to see a shout out
Been waiting for this
32:13 I'm pretty sure THK's rap song did not appear in the 2013 video game but was a fan song for the game.
Why have the jokes not aged well? That shit is hilarious.
What if deadpools mutant power was to see past the threads or reality and that was activated alongside wolverine’s blood
To say genre' defining (at the time) would be an understatement. This movie is hilarious and was a great parallel to the serious tone of comic book movies (at the time).
Today? All art is a byproduct of the time in which it is produced. It's funnier than Guardians of the Galaxy though not as Epic. It still has its place.
The travel to different parts of the world and kill people line is originally from Full Metal Jacket.
4:40 "Directed by: an overpaid tool"
Without hesitation "That's Tim Miller" 😂
23:39 I feel like this should’ve stayed in the movie. It would’ve made more sense with the running joke of NTW calling Deadpool a trainee in the second movie
I’m just realizing Morena Baccarin was sidelined in a season of Gotham, I wonder if it was for this movie😂
Welll..."Gotham" ran 2014-19, so filming of DP1 would have covered the same time as Seasons 1 & 2 of "Gotham". I thought Morena's Leslie "Lee" Thompkins was sidelined towards the end of the series' run, which would be aligned with DP2's filming in 2017 and 2018 release.
Let's be honest with ourselves Hannibal King is basically Deadpool without the suit he's got the same kind of jokes even.
5 people to do Colossus is crazy. No wonder he isnt in the films that much haha
He looked great though, imo
Olivia Munn was great as Psylocke in Apocalypse.
I think this came out a day early, But I love it 😂
The Zamboni scene could also be a reference to Austin Powers when the security guard tries to stop a steamroller by standing there with his arm out defiantly and Austin just doesn't drive around him at all.
15:24 there was actually in Jacksonville by the Regency mall, but it, like the mall, are gone now
I was stationed in Jacksonville and went to that AMC numerous times, it's honestly a pretty nice theatre from what I remember. The tattoo shop I used to go to is like right across the street too lol
I hope the weapon XI Deadpool becomes headpool
I think Deadpool asked for “Francis” on purpose for one of two reasons either the first and most likely he knew ppl wouldn’t know his government and get to kill more of the henchmen which he would see as a win or the second being that he again assumes no one knows Francis=Ajax and be able to see who’s telling the truth by their reaction of being genuinely confused versus trying to remember/think of a lie so he knows who to kill right away and who to drag it out with for an answer
Awesome video
4:25 what a sonic teenage warhead??!! 🤣
I was stationed in NAX Jacksonville from 2003-2008 and we would often eat at that exact TGIF!!!!
HERE COMES THE DEADPOOL CORP in 2024!
