Hi! I recently discovered you and I thank you because the contents you bring have been very useful to me! 😎 I ask you for advice: can you recommend some soaps suitable for traditional shaving, but which are scentless? I have been shaving my head and beard for a few months, and have only recently switched to a safety razor (Gillette King C)
Thanks Damiano, it’s good to know the videos are helpful 😎👍🏼 With regards to scentless soaps, I personally haven’t used any but I have heard great things about Noble Otter Bare unscented shaving soaps. I trust the brand for sure as I have 3 soaps from them and they deliver based of the description. Hope this helps. Let me know how u go my man.
Hi, what (cartridge) razor do you think gives the closest shave when going only with the grain? I figured that i cannot go against the grain without having ingrown hairs a couple days later so right now I just do two passes with the grain & try to find the Razor that gives me the closest shave for that. I usually do two passes. Thanks :)
@@ketchup4466 compared to a 4,5,6 blade cartridge razor any given area of skin is only touched once with a safety razor, i.e. for a full three direction three pass shave exactly three times. That is always less than with a cartridge razor. Safety razors are also much cleaner and don't get blocked up. It is those two things that cause ingrown hairs, skin infections and razor burn with cartridge razors. Learn how to use a safety razor properly and you won't have any of those problems. Safety razors, especially like the r41, shave at least as close as any cartridge system and cost far less too. For the price of a small pack of cartridges I can buy 100 to 200 double edge blades. Even if I only use each blade once, e.g. for hygiene reasons, it is still far cheaper. Safety razors are cheaper, cleaner and shave just as close as any cartridge razor is capable of and don't cause any of the skin problems either. Then again if you have two left hands, too much money and don't care about your skin then cartridge razors are the way to go.
I have the Viking Emperor but Ibhave my rye on this Muhle 41R. I wanted snnopen comb but I wasnt happy with Razorock SLOC open comb. What is the make of the stand and brush please Thanks great review
Hey Steve!! Thanks a lot bud. The Gillette labs, yes been using them a ton and both the labs are my top 2 carts. It’s winter in Australia so the heated Razor is my go to. Often I switch out to the exfoliating bar.
@@stevehayes8867 it’s a question someone else asked as well and honestly, I haven’t touched the proshield power for a long time now, but…. That would make a great next video.
I use my r41 at weekends. I have a sensitive neck but otherwise normal. I have tried Treet black beauties as extremely mild blades all the way up to extremely sharp Feather blades. I have never cut or nicked myself with it and never had irritation either. I do think if I used it daily I might get some irritation after 4 or 5 days because of how "close" the blade is. I had bigger problems with my King C Gillette and Mühle R89 where I can easily get irritation due to needing more passes. So is it "aggressive"? I would say "yes and no" or a decisive "maybe". If you handle it like an idiot then yes, if you have some experience and a gentle hand then definately no.
Glad to see you sharing new videos, friend! Keep them coming
Cheers Dmitrii, Thanks for the support 😀👍🏼
Brilliant shave and a nice review.
Thanks Apurba Da 😎👍🏼

I would try the Fusion Proglide Power or Schick Hyrdo 5 sense. They are great cartridge razors in my opinion.

@@MegaAluchi Hi Aluchi. The stand and brush both are Muhle as well.

Is it agreesive?
100% it is, handle with care and it also will quickly work out to be one of your favourite razors.

Is this razor closest to straight razor or ringing razor ?
