Great shave Ken, the washer Info actually says to not use the washer. It supposedly puts stress on the threads. Just thought I’d mention it mate. Love my Karve razors! Amazing!

Great shave. I live about an hour away from Six Flags Great America which is in Gurnee, IL located 45 miles north of Chicago. I've been there twice and it's a pleasurable experience. It's nice to have an amusement park in a metro area that has a huge market

The Karve Overlander has the feel of the B plate on a Christopher Bradley razor but the efficiency of a D plate.
Great shave, Ken. I love my Karve C.B.. The B solid bar is my favorite plate. I use the C plate for days when I have 3 or more days growth. I recently purchased 2 Karve C.B. open comb plates and they are also great.

Douglas makes some truly stellar products, his Stainless D.O.C. is one of my top five razors and the man does so much for the wet shaving community as well. I, also love his stuff. I recently started using Proraso Green preshave for the first time. I like it a good bit. Was using Proraso White and thought it had kind of a chemical smell to it, the smell of Green is much more pleasant.

Guess the Karve's the most comfortable tool out there. I even ordered the F-plate 1.23gap in OC version, expecting a killer... But NO, its comfortable and results in R41++ manner (without being biesty).

I have family in India and when I’m out there I always pick up the Saloon Pack of Gillette Wilson Sword as it is also one of my favorite blades as well. I get great shaves with it.
I just bought some when I was there this past year and you get the same pack for 92 Rupees which is roughly $1.30 here. Tough to beat that price.

The note regarding the plastic washer says to throw it away as it may damage the threads if used during the shaves. But we all know you don't read instructions!! 😂😂

Another great shave Ken. Yes I did notice that RUclips has started doing that. I also have to deal with the shakes and due to the fact that they come and go so much and infrequently, I ended up going back to the Leaf razor full time.

Love your videos Ken! I find myself watching pretty much all your videos because I like your stories. However I would like to make a suggestion. I would like to see you do an actual review. I would find it helpful for you to compare one razor to another, and especially share with us what your critical remarks of each razor. I would like to know what you do and don’t recommend. Seems like you do your shave and just make a quick remark on your smooth face and that’s it. But like I said other than that I love the vids!
I have thought the same thing. Like please tell us what are your feelings on a certain product that is being used. Helps us that are looking to purchase with our decisions.
Dylan I have had bad luck with some soaps so I never use them again. Other people swear by the soaps I don’t like

Great shave Ken!!! You are going to love this razor!!! I use the C plate the most, and the B the most on head. For me, I have found Gillette Silver Blues and Personna Med preps as great compliments to this razor. Enjoy this razor. Many of us are!!!

@@kensurfs you have been initiated!!! All you need to try is the Timeless Titanium 95 and the Rex. Both of those I had to work some serious overtime to get them, but they are so worth the price tags.
Gillette Silver Blues work best for me, Wilkinson Swords didn't work quite as well for me but nice that they work for you. Keep up the great videos Ken

Nice shave Ken💈💈 I've had the Karve CB razor(brass)since they came out, been using the C & D plates exclusively ever since. Bought the razor with the A thru D plates but quickly learned the A/B plates were too mild for me. Great razor though, superb shaver, smooth and efficient👌 PAA still a favorite, Doug knows his stuff even if he's a little quirky😉 Derby City Chop Shop "Winter Reserve" shave tonic is absolutely a great after shave, depends on the "vintage" how strong it is I think😁 Gotta get it quick as it sells out fast being a small batch product. Great video and review as always👍 Enjoy!

Hey Ken I like you shaving reviews and watch them sometimes. So you did a wrist watch check and I love the color of Blue of your Seiko. The plastic washers gives you a better hold of your blade and this is good option. Being a wet shaver myself I can suggest to pour few drops of Glycerin into your shave bowl while mixing up the lather and this way you can save the cost of pre-shave oils which are often quite expensive and also avoid the razor burn after shave. I always suggest people to use alcohol free after shave because they reduce skin aging.

I love Disneyland and starwars. The new star wars land is fun! I really want to go to the restaurant 😩.... we have been season pass holders for years until the covid outbreak. Lol. The oogie boogie Halloween bash is epic at Disneyland, we usually go for Halloween and the next 2 days after so we get the Christmas experience too. Hi Ken, the Saloon pack of Wilkinson's sword with 50 blades is approximately $2 in India. Wilkinson's is pretty good, but i like my Gillette silver blues better.

Great review. I love my Carve Razor. I like the C plate best. It is a great Razor. Boom town is a good scent; however, my wife hates it. Crystal skull is also sold at Home Goods.

That's a cool packaged tonic, but I'm just not a fan of bay rum. In checking your link to their site, I didn't see that they had any other scent listed. I wonder if they ever produce any other scent?

I'm new to all this...I just bought a Rockwell 6S to try out and I've noticed it always has blade overhang. In this video you said it was good, why is that?
I like to grab the blade from the sides to load and unload. I find it easier👍💈

Ken, please tell me that you are supplementing with CoQ10. This is critical if you are taking a statin drug.
First Name Last Name I actually don’t have high blood pressure, but a kidney ailment. The blood pressure meds keep me at about 110 over 65. This puts less stress on the kidneys. It seems to work great. Lisinipril

If I could only use one item for the rest of my life to shave with, it would be :
Pre-shave : PAA's Cube (they have the new 2.0 now)
Soap : PAA's CK-6 Cold Spice (Good old Shulton Old Spice!)
Razor : Rockwell 6S (will probably change once I get my Tatara Masamune) with Feather Blade
Aftershave : PAA's Cold Spice Aftershave and Star Jelly
Good shave, but you need to use more water. Douglas' soaps need just that little more, they are a little thirsty.
As for the politics, and history with Douglas, I am aware but I care about what they are now, how good the products they sell and how they treat me as a customer.
The Past is the past, people made mistakes.
Steven Lim I joined over the summer, so only three months so far. I am on the Facebook forums and see people praise douglas for his new ck-6 soap base. However, a lot, a lot of people criticize him now and his past mistakes. What’s so bad about him? ( please inform me, I am will be a future PAA customer)

He has never done me wrong, in fact he has went above and beyond for me as his customer.

I like his stuff, and have bought more than my fair share of his product. My wife jokes that I have enough PAA stuff to last till retirement. She is not wrong.
My advice is this. Separate the person from the product.
Try his stuff, if you like it, buy it. If not, don't.

I have the B plate and I love it. It has zero exposure meaning the blade doesn't stick out further than then plane of the base plate to top cap. Aggressive enough that I can get BBS on a 2 pass shave, but mild enough that it is super smooth and doesn't cause irritation

The instructions that come with the razor tell you not to use it, it's only needed for shipping.
