Because of YOU bro, I just caught my first big striper EVER!! My ultimate PB isn’t that big, but 28.5” and 9lbs is HUGE to ME!! I’m 46 and have been river fishing striper my whole life since I was 7 with my Grandpa. HE used to bring in 20’s by the PAIR on surf leaders in the river. I went and bought all your stuff. But what I ended up trying, because I wanted to cast further, was the ol’ buck tail setup. I haven’t tried your stuff yet but it’s obviously fire. Thank you for reuniting the fire of fishing inside me and I’m passing it down to my two sons as we speak! Thank you bro!!
🔥🔥🔥 video Ed! Thank you for supporting my tournament, I really appreciate both of you! Keep it up! You both will always have an open spot in any of my tournament. 🙏
I would say it was the best fishing week of my life too! You smacked them! Hopefully this bite continues throughout the fall and winter! Great show bro!
Nice fight on that striper! I think I may have hooked onto one today that or a halibut not sure ? he absolutely ripped my drag . Penn Pursuit 4 Penn Prevail Rod 30Lb Braid With Mono Leader 20G Honoreal Lure . I lost him he ripped off my lure I may have had my drag too tight but he was still ripping drag ... Baja California
I did go to Dillon beach. Watching your show help me map out the beach. Finding fish was not a problem. Hooking them took talent I need practice. You have to be quick. I did take home 4 two barred two red fin. Mmmm not my favorite fish to eat. I will try eating them again. I’ll filet them and make fish sandwiches.
How do you find fish? I’m surf fishing in SoCal mainly in the Santa Monica bay exclusive to Manhattan beach redondo beach el segundo beach and palos verdes ….. thank you!!
Just watching surf fishing videos on YT from guys in your area opens up all kinds of avenues. Then use Google Maps to research other beaches that are worth fishing. That's how I started, just four months ago. This channel has years of surf fishing videos, of catching fish and more importantly, drone footage of how to read the beach and how the fish position themselves in the ever-changing topography. @@ReptilianUnion
Awesome video, I'm new to the channel and I love your content!! Really appreciate you mentioning you wouldn't have wiped the sand off had you not decided to keep the Striper, as covering a fish in sand to then wipe it off is the best way to remove all of the slime, which is essential for protection against infections and parasites. handy trick for keepers though as it makes the processing later much easier.
I have a hard time watching videos after I go out and get skunked. I think I may be a Jellyfish. I’m back I caught a nice on on Sunday. I’ll try not to get skunked anymore.
What’s a good casting, limp, thin diameter, braid line for main line u would recommend imma be targeting surf perch, striped bass, halibut, off Ventura.
@@Hook2Cook Fsho bro thank you. And thatl be good enough to cast both Carolina rigs and jerk baits with that same main line attached to a leader? I’m also gunna tie on a leader I did see u show a Pline leader for ur leader on one of ur videos. Do u recommend anything thatl compliment the Diawa line? I will be spoiling these lines on a Diawa 3000 Saltist. Your awesome bro!
sounds like a great combo. I always tie a leader to the end of the braid. the FG knot has been the best for me using mono. you can use it both for jerkbaits and carolina rigs.
@@Hook2Cook Forsure bro I didn’t mean to go against ur advise but I got stuck watching ur videos and Vince’s videos wich got me to buy the Alien braid. What do u think about the Alien Braid?
Man, the whole west coast, must have been lots of competition.. and you guys killed it. Don't give up! Q: Are you guys fishing on Vanderberg ? Looks a bit like Minuteman Beach.
Dude! Please do not go into the ocean water like you do. It’s the under tow water that’ll knock you down and drag you out underwater. Your waders will fill up and also weigh you down. Everything moves fast before you know it. It’s not worth it. Stay on the waters edge from the beach, if anything. No need to get yourself in trouble just for a few “more “ yards of casting your line. Always think SAFETY Be safe 🙏🏼✨
Happy fishing Tuesday 🎣 👍🏼 @hook2cook I'm a big fan of yours and @manseraoutdoors I love and enjoy seeing your fishing videos I'm from San Pedro California I love Pier fishing 🎣I love that stripper bass it was a big one I thought it was about 32in I wish to someday meet you guys and fish with you guys

Diawa j braid 8x has been good for me. I’ve been trying the battlestar alien braid and it’s been good too since it was made with surf in mind.

Another awesome video Ed!! Gosh so close again!!! How far were you off? Looked like an amazing few days of fishing though. 🔥
Probably like 3”… the other team put up even more monster numbers. UNBELIEVABLE numbers since he was fishing the same beach and holes
Nice video bring your tape or ATLEAST don’t tell the Fish Policia you ain’t got it they start set tripping off that aye

1 more question if possible. how much 30 pound line can you put on the VR75? the only charts i found was for mono or 20pound braid
@@Hook2Cook
Not sure the exact amount but it’s probably about 350 yards aka more than enough
Bro all you need is sand fleas for good perch 😂
If anyone is in socal hit me up I’m in Victorville and ready to hit the beaches early morning
Awesome!! Love the surf content!! I wonder why Jun didnt make a video or announcement on his RUclips that the tournament was this week
