We used to find shark teeth on the beach in Florida every day. If you're lucky, you can find Meglodon teeth even. I've seen people walk the beach in the morning and collect a sandwich bag worth of small shark teeth regularly. I've never seen one out here. Love the surf fishing content, btw!
I believe they use those tractor tires as a bumpers for ships and it’s on a rope and I guess maybe the rope broke and it fell off but they I seen those on big ships all the time wrapped around the whole thing that’s how they recycled tires you know it just like what we have put to it. I seen them on big ships, but it just fell off and it’s floating down, but that’s why I’m 100% positive
Is your sinker sliding down and sticking to the swivel? Try putting a plastic bead between the sinker and swivel. It’ll keep the sinker loose and sliding on your line.
Question for you, on the Striped bass, are they found south of Carlsbad and down to the Mission Beach at all? I haven’t heard any catch reports about them down here. Thank you!
Washing your outer layers is a beginners thing 😂. Show up smelling like bait, its almost like not washing your socks when you play football... builds your luck!
Speculation is ANYTHING but "exact." However, the tread on that tire looks pretty good. I'm wondering if it wasn't in a CONEX box on some container ship, and fell over the side.
Will you be at the more than fishing tournament? And what do think about good lure to use would be I have some yo zuris, cast masters, bucktails, and of course sand crabs but do you have any more that I should try?
He participates every year is that is a safe bet he will be in that tournament, look at his previous videos for the tournament and see what he uses, am sure those are his go to when money and prestige is on the line.
you could look at the Okuma RA-S-1002MH rockaway Surf, spinning rod, 10'. It runs about $80-$100. Paired it with a SaltX 6000. Any 4000-6000ish reel would match well. The 6k weighs about 19oz. But the rod casts well, fairly lightweight. Just has 'that feel' to it. A few catches in the 12-20lb range. Could easily handle bigger. I chuck hardware mostly. Still it's not a rod I'd make a few thousand casts a day with at my age anyway. There are several models to suit however you want to fish. I have the med-hvy.
So the shark teeth that people find out in the east coast, primarily North Carolina, are fossilized Megalodon or Great White Shark teeth from several million years ago. The area happens to have the right conditions to produce Megalodon teeth that the west coast doesn't have (the rocks are old enough to contain Megalodon, the rocks eroded enough to weather out the teeth and deposit them on the beach, etc). The CA bay area definitely does have fossils too (especially the Capitola area where there are entire shell beds in the cliffs), but the rocks near the coast tend to have mostly invertebrate fossils. -paleontologist
Ah the sticky situation spot, I had to rescue 2 old people a couple of weeks ago that waited to long to head back and then got smashed. 76 year old woman and her 80 year old husband.
for the first time i experienced a STRIPER getting away by bending a LuckyCraft hook!!! I read few people here saying that I just could not believe it... well now I do!
love your videos and hate to be a bit of a karen, but it would be much better for the fish you are releasing to land them with a net. you could better avoid them flopping around on the sand, getting sand in their gills etc. anyways, awesome video!

I could watch this all day.
Those tires could be from derrick barges or dredge barges. Lot of dredging activity in the Bay Area. but hey idk.
Yep. Barges or other medium-size vessels will use those as fenders sometimes...cheap and effective, till you lose it overboard!
Dredging makes sense. I was thinking tugs.
I found a great white shark tooth about 10 years ago while fishing in pacifica. The shark was about 12 feet long.
You got me with the surf shark intro lol.
the fish whisperer!! great stuff!!
Fun trip Adam. Thanks for the ride. lol ✌️
Nice catches! I’m due for surf fishing soon. Conditions are funky for kayak right now.

Is this San Gregoria beach HMB?
Way to go, Adam! ❤
what's the rod and reel rig that you are using?
Despite all my beach combing I’ve never found a shark tooth. Would love to find one. I guess they aren’t washing up for some reason

Hello, how do you get the carolina rig/fish finder rig to not tangle up when you throw it out there?

Tires started showing up last year after the floods around Monterey county. Guessing it’s from the floods near farms
Congrats on your fishing 🎣 adventure 🐟🐟🐟🦈🦈🦈🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

What beach is this.
Where's the tire from? I was gonna say whistlindiesel til I realized you weren't in Tennessee

What rod are you using in this video
Adam, Some hunters spray themselves with doe urine scent before they go hunting so its OK to have your apparel smell like fish sometimes.
that beach is the only beach i surf fish more than all beaches combined that i have fished..
Is the beach north or south of Santa Cruz?
@@Ducky2o ocean beach sf

Tires are from pajaro flood,if your in santa cruz
That looks like in ocean beach 😂
Tire could be from people who train at the beach. Boxers or other type of athletes doing tire workouts.
Score 🤙. Now back to the yak witchu.
For sure!
Looked like a lot of blue bubble man-of-war on the beach?
Looked like Velella velella

Nice
