In memory of Charles Dana Ripley Jr.. I don't know what branch of the US armed forces that he served in. But I posthumously thank him for his service to our country and I offer up my most heartfelt condolences to his mother, Paula K. Widener
My 12 1/2 year old, 9 kg Ginger Tabby Feline Overlord Shere Khan Magnus died Mon, Feb 12 2024 at 21:00 Mountain Standard Time.
He may not have been world famous but he was well known in my neighborhood. I harness trained him at 6 months and we went on thousands of walks over the years, making lots of friends of many different species including dogs, rabbits, squirrels, monitor lizards, birds and humans.
He was the center of my universe. I will miss him forever.
👑🐈😿🕊️🌈🌉😫😭
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sounds like you had such a lovely
A pet??? Give me a break.
I was saddened , to hear about the loss of your cat ! I know how it feels ! Cats , as well as dogs , become members of your family !😢 😢
My sincere condolences over the loss of your very dear friend! Not many people believe animals go to heaven, but I do. That love doesn't die! May God bless and comfort you in your time of grief!
Is it possible can you put the memory up there of my my son Charles Dana Ripley jr. he served in Afghanistan and Iraq
R.I.P. Charles Dana Ripley 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
@@wannabetrucker7475 thank you it means a lot to me because I miss my son he was only 27 years
😢
You can post on the legacy website my family did that for my little brother
So sorry for your loss.
None of my four children have served in the military. But two of my three sons have died at a young age (13 and 21). I grieve with you, dear mother.
They will live forever in your heart.❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. That has to be devastating. I hope you have found a measure of peace, comfort and love from God, who gives us that and much more.
As a child growing up in the early 60's right on up through my adolescent years, "Pop Tarts" was a favorite snack I loved! From a warm Pop Tart fresh out of the toaster with a glass of milk before heading off to the school bus stop, to a late night snack after a weary day of work as teen, Pop Tarts was a welcomed snack one could count on. Mom always had boxes on hand. I am sure she walked up to Mr. Post in Heaven and thanked him for his invention! RIP Mr. Post and thank you for the happiness you brought and continue to bring to children because of your delicious invention.
Well said. 👍
R.I.P.😊
Loved the strawberry and blueberry frosted pop tarts! Mmmm😊
Still eat 'em!! ❤
Same here. Strawberry Pop Tarts always takes me back to my childhood.
May they all Rest in Peace. Steve Wright was a brilliant DJ and he will be sadly missed.
I want to add Scott Richards. He died on February 14, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama of a medical emergency at the age of 74.
He was a local news anchor at WBRC Fox 6 for 33 years. He was a journalist for over 40 years.
He retired in 2014.
I remember watching Scott, Bill Bolen(RIP), Janet Hall, James Span and others with my grandmother when I was little.
RIP
So many greats remembered... Gregory Hinds, Leslie Nelson thank you
Leslie Neilson
Thank you Legacy. Beautifully done as always. Condolences to the families and friends of those that have passed on. 🌈🙏💜
Seeing this video containing the report of the death of the inventor of the pop tart while my half eaten pop tart sits on my plate. Raspberry of course. Thank you Mr. Post.
I love Pop-Tarts.
Did you know they have a Banana Bread flavor now?
It's not too banana forward but it's still really delicious.
It has a warm, cozy flavor from the cinnamon.
The pastry part reminds me of graham crackers.
You should give them a try.
I ate both in one sitting with ice cold milk.
But, being a chocoholic, my favorite is still the chocolate fudge Pop-Tarts.
@@anakelly76512 I wonder how much of that is real banana? Maybe they could come up with a banana fudge brownie flavour, that'd be interesting. Something like the banana brownies I make from time to time.
@@anakelly76512 I would definitely try banana if they were available here. I do love the fudge ones also.
Raspberry for me too
Condolences to all. You didn't mention Shirley Temple's long career as a diplomat which began in 1969 at the United Nations. She also served as US Ambassador to Ghana and was the first female U.S. Chief of Protocol. Her last diplomatic post was Ambassador to Czechoslovakia. She was more than a child star in Hollywood.
Diva was a phenomenal movie. Wilhelmina Wiggins Fernandez singing "La Walli" was an iconic moment in that very stylish French film. Her voive, her beauty, her very presence (although brief) made the young protagonist's obsession with her completely plausable. She was mesmerizing. RIP, divina.
A guy named Post made a company named Kellogg’s rich by inventing Pop-Tarts
Irony. I noticed it also.
Facts bro
Yeah, I noticed that too and had a chuckle. 😊
I appreciate these videos each & ever Friday. 🪽🦋🪽. May God, bless their souls.
I would also like to take this time to remember my parents, who both died this month; my dad who died 2/8/1983, and my mom, who transitioned 2/10/1991. My life has not been the same, since they left this world.💖🦋🕊✨️
They were good ppl..and to Whitney Houston, on 2/11/12.🎶✨️🦋
God bless.❤
God bless them...and you
And to my dear father, L.W. Andy Scrafford. He passed over on February 13, 1986. Love and miss you Dad.
Rest In Peace Steve Wright (1954-2024) Radio presenter of BBC Radio 2. We miss you so much, went way too soon
Kenneth Kiptums death got me, 24 years old athletics prodigy tipped to be the 1st man to run Marathon in under 2 hours. It’s horrible to hear of a polite and humble superstar dying so tragically and so young.
RIP young man.
As very young as he was, he was 4 yrs older than my daughter. 4 more yrs of life.
It’s just senseless, young ppl dying.
Don Gullet pitched when professional baseball was STILL a game to appreciate and not a greed factory of millionaires who don't care about winning or losing, they are already rich no matter what.
It's nice to give a moment to acknowledge people who lived and died, we would like someone to do that for us
Sad to see our WWII vets going. Hats off to the greatest generation.
Rip Kiptum 24 years gone too soon Champion 😢
Such a terrble shame.
A tragedy..RIP.
My heart aches for KELVIN KIPTUM who senselessly lost his life so young...💜
Such a talented young man - literally BORN TO RUN!
May his family find comfort and peace in each other...💕
10:26 Whitney been gone 12 years now? wow time flies. Gone, but not forgotten
Always look forward to this. Done with such class and dignity. God bless all who passed.
Would like to add for
Leslie Neilson he starred in one of the most noteable sci fi movies of the 50s
"Forbiden Planet" the movie opened up the doors for big budget sci fi movies.
He also starred in the original Tammy movie with Debbie Reynolds.
He was such a great actor that you wouldn't have known that he was strictly dramatic before "Airplane".
I love Police Story.
Yea he was always a comedic actor to me too tho I think I remember him in ?Brackens World?.The Airplane n Police academy movies. And Dorothy married him in Golden Girls at shows end.
To add to the Red Mills story... his request upon his death was to share his company with all the employees and his family, despite the offer by big companies for a few billion dollars.
I will be supporting that company for as long as I can when grocery shopping.
I had no idea Kiptum passed away. I was looking forward to seeing him run the future 😢
In the Anniversary segment ,there are 2 that co-star with each other in IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD , SID CAESAR and ETHEL MERMAN. RIP to them both.
I met Bob Moore at a health food fair back in the early 80s. He was not only a genuinely nice man, but he was a brilliant businessman.
His healthy alternative food products, have graced many kitchens over the decades, and are still on shelves everywhere.
RIP, Bob, and thank you for helping me feed my family a healthy diet even before it was cool to do so.
Heavenly birthday 14 February comedian Jack Benny of Waukegan, IL who died 50 years ago in 1974
He was a special man.
And would have once again celebrated his 39th birthday.
Hard to imagine Chris Farley at 60 years old.
RIP Chris, in a van down by the river.
Thank you Mr. Post. I love Pop-Tarts.
Rest in peace to all. Mr. Moore made a difference in his 94 years.
Don't forget the lady dj that died on February 14th from the shooting at the chiefs victory parade
She was mentioned by name!
So four-star chef David Bouley dies of a heart attack at age 70, and Pop-Tarts inventor Bill Post dies at 96. I just don't know anymore.
And Mr. Moore, founder of Big Red products (baking flour, bread flour, etc), age 94.
Very saddened by the passing of Don Gullett, one of the most underrated left handed pitchers in MLB history, and a member of the "Big Red Machine" of the 70's, R.I.P. sir...🙏🏽
Yes, very sad. He was the ace of that Reds team. He joins Clay Kirby, Sparky, Pedro Borbon, Bob Bailey, Joe Morgan and Ed Armbrister among those we've lost from those championship teams in '75 and '76.
He wasn’t underrated. He was always hurt with an unfulfilled career that was over at 27. He had the benefit of playing for a historic team in the Reds and a back to back championship Yankees team.
@@johnm8096 He still made it the big's.
Still in shock that Steve Wright has died! He was always on the radio during my childhood, making me giggle with jokes with guests and with Tim and Bobbie! Say hello to the Old Woman for us. Ta-ra for now, Steve, and thank you!
This Is Such A wonderful and highly respectful channel. Thank you for the work you do to bring it to the world and the lady speaker is terrific.
Thank you so much for including the English radio presenter and Dj Steve Wright,
much respected and loved by BBC radio 2 listeners and colleagues alike. A great communicator who once said "The pictures on radio are much better" Thanks Steve gone you are from our presence but forever etched in memories which will go on in the minds of all who really miss you.
In loving memory of Charles Dana Ripley jr. Thank you for your service and sacrifices while you served in 1-12 Bravo Company(USAC). May God continue to shine his light on your family as they to grieve your loss😪💔🙏.. 12/22/88 to 11/04/25..
The only person mentioned that rang a bell for me was Lisa Lopez Galvan, the DJ that was killed at the Kansas City Super Bowl victory parade. I was reading the News and saw that Taylor Swift gave 100k to her gofundme , which was very good.

When I was studying music in college and into my adult years, Seiji Ozawa was a towering presence in the Boston Symphony. When he retired it was hard to wrap my head around the idea that the symphony's conductor could be anyone else. It's hard to imagine that he is gone.
Rest in Paradise all of you. Condolences to everyone's families.
= We’re coming close to losing all of our WWII veterans
= There’s a wonderful clip on RUclips of Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov doing a soft shoe together, and they appear to be having a blast
= My maternal grandmother (whose name I bear) was named Mary Valentine for the obvious reason
I missed Leslie Nielsen's birthday? Surely you can't be serious.
"My name is not Shirley!" 😊
and don't call me Shirley
Nielsen was honored a few videos back. He was honored for his passing date.
I am serious….and don’t call me Shirley.
R.I.P. Seiji ❤❤
Rest in Peace to all. 🥀🙏🏽🥀🙏🏽
Thank you Bob Moore, for the chickpea flour and wheat germ in my kitchen. RIP
My brother worked for Bob Moore…he was a very nice christian man…❤❤
I'm still sad about Steve Wright's passing. Although I'm American, I lived in the UK for several years and listened to him every weekday. He had a phone in competition on his show that I was on. I quoted Monty Python and he made a joke about how I pronounced 'python'. It was good natured, so it made me laugh.
My fave Leslie Nealson move is "The Forbidden Planet"; still watch it once a year.
TY for your beautiful tributes & half-staff memorials. May they all RIP. Lifting prayers & condolences for their loved ones. God Bless You & stay safe.
Thank you for many wonderful years on NPR, Bob Edwards.
May all have eternal peace and rest. 🕊️❤️🙏
Condolences To All Family Member's ✝️
As I was eating breakfast and watching the news about those who had passed away, I felt a sense of loss. You gave very accurate and precise information. I want to send my condolences to their relatives.
I still can’t believe the amazing Steve Wright has died. He was an epic radio DJ and his afternoon show was essential listening. Who recalls the characters “Mr Angry” and “Ask Elvis”? Some of the funniest sketches ever. RIP, Steve. You are already missed.
Many UK folks are familiar with DJ Steve Wright. I wasn’t exactly a fan, but was amazed at his genius for creating the zany ‘Zoo’ format radio show for British audiences. Every show was like an audio version of a British Looney Tunes cartoon. RIP
RIP Maestro Seiji! Sentimentos por todos os falecidos.
God Bless and Keep these beloved souls. May their families friends and fans/ followers find peace. To those who served Thank You for our freedoms.
Rest in Peace ( CHARLES DANA RIPLEY JR) THANK you for your service
In this particular installment, I did not recognize most, if not all, of the names, but found it especially captivating and fascinating. Each person sounded like wonderful human beings and it reminds me that everyone--famous or not--has a story. The gentleman veteran who saved 46 people at Pearl Harbor, my God, that's incredible. In the anniversary section, with many I recognized, I had forgotten how young many of them were when they passed. I guess now that I'm in my 60s, these events seem so much closer to home....
I feel the same way😢
"We do not report on rumors." Sounds like if the cause of death has been announced, you will report rumors. The sentence needs recrafting. "We will not report speculation around a cause of death. We will wait until one has been officially announced."
i can hold my breath 😲for A LOOOOONG TIME ... 🌊🌊🌊😨 !!!!! RIP LESLIE NIELSON (CREEP SHOW)
This site is so well done and doesnt miss much even mentioning Deputy McCowan that was killed in the line of duty the next county over from me.
STERLING CALE...the finest of the finest Americans. Thank you sir, for your service, love and commitment to what America stands for.
RIP Bob Moore, I didn't realize you were a real person. Enjoyed your organic high quality products very much.
Rest in Peace to them all and thank you to those who Served
Again this is very informative and interesting to see that POP TARTS so recognized. Imagine to invent such a delicious delight. But as age wise I knew many of these people. Sometimes we need moments like this to know that lifes accomplishments should be shared. And Thank You for sharing the lives lived and lost.😢
R.I.P ❤
I will leave this interaction on your post because I do appreciate your work , I feel wrong leaving a like on death notices , so I will leave a heart felt thank you for your efforts in respectfully reporting!
The "Like" button has nothing to do liking death notices. It's too show appreciation for the work that's gone into producing these videos, and each "Like" serves to boost popularity in the yt algorithm, thus assuring more people see the videos.
Now, you can support a job well done, can't you? Show a little love for the gracious and professional job these folks do every week to bring us these tributes.
RIP to all.
You are missed, Mr. Cale. I salute you and all who gave so much for our country.
Man, Bob Edwards was great. I didn't know. Nor had I heard about Ozawa
Always sad and infuriating to hear about someone taking a firearm to a large crowd and opening fire, potentially injuring or even killing unsuspecting attendees. And for what purpose? Hope the victim's family and friends can heal through this tragedy over time.
I never realized what a beautiful woman Shirley Temple was as an adult.
She was able to live her life on her terms, without all of the "Hollywood grooming".
It was the Army Air Corps during WW2 - my Dad was in it and spent at least 3 years in England keeping those B-17s flying. I wish people would just understand the correct name - changed to Amy Air Force sometime after the war!!!
6:30 RIP Wright-0, you are were and always going to be a legend. For the Brits and American listeners like myself.
RIP to all and to the fallen service men and women thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I miss the original pop tarts that didn't have that gross frosting on them. They were genius, then rest in peace.
i think you can get the unfrosted kind again
Unfrosted ones are sold at Kroger.
@@GGiblet not in Minnesota I look every time I'm in any store that sells food... maybe I have to look on Amazon or something
@@SilentEcho9194 i've never been. But I'm on Amazon right now and they have them! You're so sweet for pointing out.💞

It seems there were a lot of lowered flags this week, unfortunately. May they all rest in peace.
I Live in N.E. Portland Oregon I've been to Bob's Red Mill Store in Milwaukie a few Times. They have Very High Quality products.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
May all who passed RIP and condolences to their family and friends💔🙏
Thank you for mentioning Steven A. Tyrrell. It is sad to think that we are still losing people to the events of 9/11/01.
Rest in peace all you beautiful souls ❤🙏🏻
Rip Mr Kinsey. Albert King is one of my three “Kings” I enjoyed when you sat in
Rip Ms Merman. You stole the show in “it’s a mad mad mad world” in 1963, arguably the funniest movie of all time.
Eternal Rest to these remarkable individuals whose existence eluded me 😢
Would like to add Barbara Petras the GOAT 🐐❤of moms passed February 12th 2024 after a brief battle of stage four pancreatic cancer. The world keeps spinning but never will be the same. i miss you Mom #3
Seiji Osawa lead the BSO to a new level of popularity and was a big Red Sox fan.
Rip Damo Suzuki, my favorite song by can is "oh yeah"
Condolences to their families.
I love Poptarts!
😢💔
You didn’t mention Peter Tork for the birthdays! 😣
RIP to all.🙏
Thought that was a pic of Richard Chamberlain! Glad to read that Chamberlain is still living. RIP Bob Joseph.
Don Gillette was part of our Big Red Machine. He'll be forever remembered.
Vera Love (Vera Mae Jeanette)has just died in Vienna Austria aged 87. She was George Benson's 'Cousin', she sang with greats like Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Tina Turner. She also had the honour of Freddie Mercy calling her Mama. She also served in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
Adult film star Kagney Linn Karter passed away on Thursday 2/15/2024 RIP beautiful
