News broke after our production deadline that internationally acclaimed Japanese manga artist and “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama (1955-2024) died of acute subdural hematoma at the age of 68. He will be featured in next week’s video.
I just want to say thank you for your policy on not spreading rumors and only reporting facts when they are released to respect the families wishes and privacy. Thank you for also acknowledging war vets and anniversaries of previous passing of well know figures. Keep up the good work.
RIP, Akira Toriyama. My son will be very saddened by this news. He's the biggest DBZ fan ever and has been collecting the series DVDs since he was in his teens. 😢💔
Thank you for recognizing the Canadians. I’m sad to hear about Steve Lawrence passing. He and Edie were fixtures on television throughout my childhood.
I remember he and his wife most for their multiple guest spots on the Ed Sullivan Show or if I am correct the Carol Burnett Show. I think they were often on the Ed Sullivan Show the same night as Topo Gigio, although, I wouldn’t swear to it. That was almost 60 years ago.
Mulroney was a criminal that destroyed the tory party, made it possible for racists and fascists like Manning to have a national voice. He ruined the economy, starting the social problems of today. 2024 is forty years too late.
@@CharlesRodgers-y1h And his inimitably mellifluously seductive Go Away, Little Girl. And his and Eydie's joyously harmonious and emotive duets "I Really Must Go" and "Let It Snow!"
When Dusty Springfield died, she made sure that her cat named Nicholas would live a life of luxury. This included a 7-foot indoor cat treehouse and a diet of baby food imported from the US to Britain.
Steve Lawrence. Him and Eydie are two amazing legends. And the perfect example of true love. They got married in the late 50's and were happily married up until her death in 2013. If I knew nothing else about Steve Lawrence, I know he was a good man. Because Eydie is 7 years older than him. He stayed faithfully married until death did they temporarily part. I'm so happy they are together again in Heaven. ❤❤🙏🏼🙏🏼
Pet Shop Boys made her popular again in late 80s up to mid 90s. What Have I Done to Deserve This and Scandal movie song Nothing has been proved became huge hits for both artists in the UK and other countries. Dusty had some more hits after that too. Sad she left so young. I have her greatest hits and play it often.
I remember Steve Lawrence and his wife Eydie Gorme’s TV show in the 70s. They both had very beautiful voices and classy personalities. I miss watching Eydie Gorme singing in Spanish with the Trio Los Panchos and in English as well together with her husband Steve also singing with his exquisite voice. They made a very lovely, elegant, and fascinating couple, their TV show was a hit back in those yesteryears. Rest in Peace always, Steve Lawrence, you will be sorely missed by those who enjoyed your enthralling performance in your TV show and captivating voice. ♥️🙏💐
It is astonishing the number of younger people dying. The football player dying of colon cancer at age 33? Ridiculous. So many dying in their 60’s and early 70’s, If this is happening in celebrities you can bet it’s happening all through society.
I have thought this same thing recently. Stress in our world and less wisdom/God is definitely effecting people. There is no reason a healthy young person of 33 should die of colon cancer! Some do not want to consider alternatives. Blessings to you. 🙏🏼🤍🦅
Yes, it’s happening to many people, but I can’t help but think that celebrities may live a very different lifestyle than non celebrities, and maybe accessible to things, places and people as well as stresses that non celebrities don’t. Thus maybe putting them at greater risk for mental and biological illnesses. I hear of so many celebrities getting/dying of cancer, suicide, dementia, Alzheimer’s, ect. I would think, if anyone could get through it, it would be them. The wealth they might have to do research and find help. Maybe they get to a point where they are tired and ready to give up and go. I’m just trying to come up with answers. Maybe there aren’t any, other than it’s just their time. Above all this, may they rest in blissful peace.
A Note To Remember: Fans like myself of this wonderful channel can tell when the lovely narrator is not her usual self; her tone and voice tells the story. So happy that she is back to having that happy, calm, reassuring, positive voice this week!
