That saddened me too since I was able to meet him several times in Atlanta, Ga. He was my favourite actor and musician, but he did more than that, yet received no Emmy's, Star on Hollywood, or Knighthood. Wonder why. Not woke enough for some? He deserved more honours, even if he was more humble.

Such an odd coincidence that Maggie Dame Smith dies exactly one year after Michael Gambon on the same day, both were leading characters in the Harry Potter series; Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall, rest in peace.

I can't believe Dame Maggie Smith Passed away. She was one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE actresses. I loved her in the Orginal Clash of the Titans as Thetis, as Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden, and as Mr. Docherty in Nanny McPhee Returns. When I saw she had passed. I literally said 'no f-in way'. She always seemed so young in the movies I've always seen her in. She is truly one of the ABSOLUTE BEST actresses of my time. I don't think any actress could come as close to her in bringing the characters to life like she did with every character she played.

This is sad how she died exactly one year after Michael Gambon, on the exact same day. The two of them must've been real close and bounded together on the set of Harry Potter.

I commented last week about how I look forward to this each week. I think I figured out why. My childhood memories are now here. Someone said that I grieve with them. They are exactly right. The ones I don't know about I learn what their purpose in life was. Everyone I believe has/had a purpose.
I watched Mercury play. RIP. And that Dr Clement lived a good life.
I'm originally from Miami, Opa Locka to be exact. I haven't lived there in years but damn I miss the "old" Miami, if you will. I still remember driving by the Orange Bowl stadium with my parents several times a week. It hurts every time I hear about a former Dolphin from that era passing away.

I just lost a great friend. Slowly she was absolutely wonderful. I got to meet her very briefly years and years ago when I was working in a bookstore In maryland. She was so lovely.She was making a movie here and she was stalking up on reading material. She was as nice and friendly as I would have imagined and I treasure that memory especially today.❤❤❤
Eduardo Xol what a waste of a life, he was just gorgeous.😍 Maggie Smith, what a brilliant actress and career. I think the highlight of her career was The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1969, it's an excellent film and Maggie Smith excels in this role. Watch it you will not be disappointed. 📽️🎉

"Mercury" Morris was like a super hero to us kids who grew up in Miami during the 1970's. Prince and Cat were magic on stage together. RIP to ALL who have passed on 🕊️...

Kathy Crosby & Maggie Smith, two actresses in Ray Harryhausen features, "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" & "Clash of the Titans, whom I saw in theaters as a youngster back in the day (7th Voyage in its 1975 re-release). Thank you ladies for some great childhood memories!

OH MY GOODNESS! Maggie Smith was an icon in the theatrical world, she will be missed. I have always enjoyed her talent and voice. She will definitely be missed. There will never be another actor or actress who can take her place here in USA or Socialist England.

It's very hard to learn of Dame Maggie Smith's death. It stunned me as the news flashed across the internet. She was one of the truly great actors of the 20th and 21st Centuries working on stage, film and on television via Downton Abbey. She was the recipient of quite lterally every award a lead actor can win including 2 Oscars, 3 BAFTAs, Several Golden Globes, a Tony Award for her work on Broadway, and 3 Emmy Awards for Downton Abbey - 2 for the series on PBS and one for the feature film Downton Abbey. She was a living legend. Her work was brilliant, a very intelligent actor much praised by her peers and by great producers and directors who worked with her in film and theatrical worlds fpr almost six decades.. R.I.P. Dame Maggie. You will be missed a great deal. This is truly a stunning loss.

Dame Maggie Smith was such a huge part of mine along with so many others childhoods and upbringing. I remember seeing her in "The secret Garden" when I was so young! Was obsessed ever since then. She was so amazing. Unbelievable talent. Inspired so many. I had a rough childhood but watching her always made me feel so warm and safe. I'll never forget that or her. It just always seemed like she was the one person who would live literally forever. ❤❤❤ may God be with her sons, grandchildren, other family and friends. Sending all the love and hugs to everyone's loved one on this list.

This last week saw the death of Roger Palm, who played drums on some of ABBA’ s biggest hits, including Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia.
If I am not mistaken, Jay J. Armes, worked on an episode of the original "Hawaii Five-0". He played an ex-con who was killing the police officers who arrested him during a bank robbery. His last target was Five -0 chief Steve McGarrett ( Jack Lord). The episode is titled, " Hookman".
Actress Maggie Smith was a great actress and a fine lady, her acting skills were exceptional. Maggie will be missed terribly missed by all her followers, family, friends and all the people she knew. She was a doll, a true sweetheart, a classy lady and a fine actress.
