Great video bro. Congrats on your ZL1. I have a 2019 7-speed C7 Z06. Still to this day a thrill to drive. I won't debate or argue that auto is faster, but manual is sooo much fun!
The lt4 and mnaual combo are a lot of fun for sure!
@@ZtZoomin I’d rather have the 6 speed manual in the zl1 over 7 speed zo6 vette also I like the 10 speed auto in the zl1 over the 8 speed auto vette zo6 besides zr1 in the c7 auto only 1200 hp c7 zr1 killer
Every performance car I have ever owned has been a manual. I have a 19zl1 and it's my first auto. I enjoy the simple things like talking a drink and not having to put it down or pull a hand off the wheel to shift. It has made drag racing much easier. I also gained .3 tenths after the trans was tuned. Great video.
Having the heads up display has was a game changer! I literally dont look at my dash for RPM or speed anymore, i just stare at my hud lol

Heads up display is awesome. I have a Buick LaCrosse and have come to live it. Had to have it a a Camaro too. The rear view mirror camera is awesome on my 2020 SS 1LE. I think the pulls in my SS are awesome. Can’t imagine what it would be like in a ZL1.
I'm rocking the ZL1 internals in my Chevelle, and the clutch bite point takes a little time, just know you have a lot more power then is needed to really move. Just feel out the bit point at 1.25k and then settle out slow. You'll get this man!

PS if you don't want to get into trouble, just turn off traction control. Don't use competitive mode on the street much (unless you are gonna do doughnuts etc). I almost got in trouble with comp mode on the street getting sideways at 60. Just TC for wheelspin. Have the stability control save your ass, especially during the 1-2 shift. I lost traction going into 2nd and almost hit another car.

Clutch is really soft and grabs really high, there's definitely less "feel" compared to older cars and it takes some getting used to.
How is the visibility in the camera?
From watching your video, the Camaro looks so awesome inside the car. Can't wait to get my own camera.

Have you tried the "No Lift Shift" these have? Just keep your right foot planted, clutch, shift, drop clutch and keep screaming. I can usually get a shift it about a few tenths of a second so I say "Bye Bye" to most auto cars. It's getting traction thats the real issue. Launch control is something else too as I haven't found a setting I like just yet. Have fun with your Z bud, see ya out there.

Bro you know the the supercharger starts up about 3000?rpm but that was my 2013 ZL1
The LSA is a bit different there in that the LT4 starts putting boost at about 1500rpm, then quickly rises to about 15psi at 4k.

Dude dont pull at 2000 rpm it will kill the clutch in first i have a 2021 1le i can leave at 1000 rpm and gas at the ssme time

Why? Anyone can drive an auto. It takes "Skillz" to drive a stick.

@@TheWolfMatt are you saying it takes skillz to lose a race?!? While a manual is more fun, the 10sp auto can be driven like a manual on the stick, or with the paddles on the wheel. I've driven both and the auto in track mode it's noticeably faster than the 6sp.
@@djs3484 So what your saying is that you really don't know how to drive stick and would rather the auto do that job for ya. To each their own my friend. I'm faster in my 6spd than most are in their auto, even the 10spd around track. But my skill level is irrelevant right? Must be doing some voodoo to my Z to make it go faster. Some of us are just fast, others aren't, that's life.
