Our Pre-War Vintage Baseball Auction Wins from the Harry O'Brien Collection Estate Sale

Today we're going through our five Pre-War vintage baseball auction wins from the Harry O'Brien estate sale auction that took place in New Hampshire over the weekend. A few weeks ago ‪@JunkWaxHero‬ posted an Attic Find Friday about the auction of an extensive Pre-War collection owned by a man named Harry O'Brien. His father, a WWI and WWII veteran, had started the collection and Harry maintained it until his death in late 2022.
This collection included T206s, T205s, Mecca Double Folders, Philadelphia Caramel E95s, 1933 and 1934 Goudeys, 1934 Exhibits Four-On-One cards and so much more, and had cards from Hall of Famers across the board including Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Lou Gehrig, Christy Mathewson and so much more. Plus, there was an extensive early edition comic book collection and so many other items that provided something a time capsule for American life in the 1st half of the 20th Century.
Best of all, the proceeds for the estate sale auction will be donated to the University of New Hampshire Scholarship Fund, which just so happens to be Jake's alma mater. So we were honored to bid in the auction, come away with some awesome Pre-War vintage finds, and help kids go to the college that made Jake the person he is along the way.
