Any fan of Starship Troopers should at least consider purchasing this game due to the quality RTS campaign, however the main reason not to is the lack of multiplayer / Co-op as there is literally none. That's my one line summary of the game, but would you like to know more? Or if you already own the game, what advice would you give to those looking to make a purchase?
Just found your channel and love how you structure your reviews. Gives an excellent sense of whether a game is right for me to purchase. Hope you get to keep up putting this awesome content out :)
I love this game. I'm a casual rts player, never got interested in multiplayer because micromanagement is not really my cup of tea. I wish there was more content and more replayability, but it's still worth it.
@@twiglets2 yes, I finished both and did all the achievements. Urban onslaught was more fun and brought new strategies, but I would still recommend both. Btw you can play as the bugs in a couple of the community made scenarios, I hope the devs can learn from these initiatives, I highly recommend to check it out.
@@varyagace agreed the lack of co op is disappointing indeed. Really enjoyed the campaign but I couldn't recommend paying full price due to the lack of multiplayer
@@ben-mur potentially in the future there may be a co-op mode which would be cool. I'm not sure about PvP multiplayer though as it would be quite something having one player play as the bugs and another as the mobile infantry, and achieving the necessary balance. But how cool would it be to play as the bugs?!
@@dennisnielsen8030 hmm interesting, so like a grand campaign where you build from scratch and it all flows through? That would be very cool indeed! I am rather impressed with the mission design, RTS missions can become repetitive but they really mixed it up here!
@@twiglets2im thinking a little like a sense of Diablo meets C&C style.. Since you have dropships and such, it would be easy to implement a few stationary bases along the way, as you explore and take control of more and more of the planet, with the wilderness and caves always ready to give new random attacks of creatures in different sizes of offense, but where they can also attack the stationary bases (unlike in Diablo). It could potentially make a never ending war scenario as well, where you gain some, and you lose some. (At least until you get the big tick creature thing)

@@Nalber3 glad to hear you enjoy the game! Have you tried the dlcs? Urban onslaught in particular is really cool!

Yes, yes it is. I just wish it had at least coop modes, but the studio is too small to do multiplayer, it seems.

@@twiglets2 It’d be sick! There’s a mission on the workshop called assault on fort Rico or something similar & you can play as the bugs!!!
@@ben-mur I did not know that... That's sorted my plans for this evening!
Its a shame they made it in missions..
It could have been awesome, if you just got dropped on a small planet, and had to gain control from there.
